Fairy, Don't Be Afraid, I Am Blind
Chapter 715 - 340: The Sun Will Rise Again (End of Volume)
"I thought I would have to block this Evil God overseas today, but I didn’t expect there to be another who could accomplish this. He is the first in the five thousand years of the Five Continents’ history to break through this boundary with his physical body alone. Quite remarkable," the disfigured man said with undeniable admiration in his voice.
You Su stared in a daze at the black sun amidst the electric flashes, where endless tentacles danced around it.
"The first elder is truly formidable."
"But it also drew out the filth hidden even deeper in the sea..." the disfigured man sighed, as if lamenting his inescapable fate.
Every word this man uttered seemed to dance on You Su’s nerves, deeper than the Evil God that the Master of Flesh and Blood hid, it could only be the other two Evil Gods!
"What can I do?" You Su felt at a loss.
The disfigured man turned his head and smiled, "Just be yourself."
After he spoke, he seemed to realize such words were too vague and ethereal, so he added:
"If you don’t want Central Continent to fall, plunge into the sea, and they will follow your scent."
"Okay." You Su agreed straightforwardly, as if already prepared for martyrdom.
The disfigured man looked surprised for an instant, then smiled bitterly, "Have you already forgotten the lesson I just taught you? I told you to plunge into the sea not to become a fish bait, but to send you away. They won’t find you, and you’ll reach another place, possibly within the Five Continents, or perhaps beyond. You need to find your way back before they find you and master the way to kill them first."
You Su was silent for a moment, then softly clenched his fist:
"Okay."
The disfigured man patted You Su’s shoulder with relief and urged, "Don’t mourn our deaths; just be yourself. This journey is destined to be difficult. If in the end, you truly don’t want to save the world, then watching it perish is not your fault."
You Su paused, seemingly relieved of a heavy burden because of this sentence, and couldn’t help but ask again:
"Who exactly are you?"
But the figure of the disfigured man had already disappeared, his gentle voice echoed in You Su’s mind:
"The moment you close the history book, you will naturally see my name. If you’re ready, just jump into the water. Don’t be afraid; every one of us was born from water in the beginning..."
As the words fell, You Su seemed to perceive something, and he suddenly turned his gaze.
The giant serpent frantically writhed as though enduring unbearable pain. Its belly was more swollen than before, as if something was about to burst forth.
Suddenly, it flipped over and collapsed, a beam of mixed colored light shot from its upturned belly, tearing a gash in its skin.
You Su remembered this move; it was the assassin strike Ji Xueruo was ready to unleash against Ming Dao but was forced to interrupt! Empowered with the force of the Dragon Blood, she pushed this attack to its extreme, as if blessed by the gods!
The dense clouds were ripped open by this beam of light, revealing the originally bright stars and moon.
Under the serene light, the fairy island appeared clearer than ever.
For some reason, You Su felt a hint of contentment in the giant serpent’s eyes, as if it had fulfilled its wishes.
But You Su had no time to ponder such insignificant details. He leaped into the air, and a pair of wings formed from black liquid condensed behind him as he held the girl who had returned to her human form in his arms.
Ji Xueruo’s black dress was thin, yet her skin burned like a piece of fiery coal. The girl faintly opened her eyes, seeing the familiar face in front of her, she curved her lips slightly, like a little black cat flaunting to her companions.
"See how impressive I am?"
She seemed to say, then tilted her head, and the exhausted girl fainted away, sleeping soundly on the bosom of her beloved.
You Su let out a faint laugh.
Behind him, lightning flashed, thunder roared, and demons bellowed, but it all seemed irrelevant to him.
He gently placed the girl on the deserted shore, quietly wiping the dirty blood from her face, then tilted his head back and plunged into the endless dark waters.
With one last glance before entering the water, he saw the mighty electric python in the sea of clouds finally wearied, and a red thread appeared on the horizon.
He knew the sun would soon rise, and he would surely return.
