Ken wiped the blood from his chin and raised his katana.

"Time to end this." A faint smile appeared on his face.

Arisha exhaled slowly and drew an arrow from her quiver.

"Ken, you know what to do, right?"

Her yellow eyes began to glow.

Hunter’s Eyes.

The world seemed to slow as her perception sharpened. She observed Abigor’s movements, the shifting gravitational currents around his body, and the subtle gaps that appeared whenever he redirected his power.

She couldn’t overpower him. But she didn’t need to. She only needed one precise shot.

Damien disappeared once more.

A ray of golden light flashed across Abigor’s vision.

[Second Form: Sacred Yata Mirror]

Damien emerged at the demon’s right side, his sword sweeping toward his neck.

Abigor immediately raised a gravitational barrier.

Clang!

The attack was blocked, but Damien’s blade reflected another ray of light. His figure vanished and reappeared behind Abigor, striking at the demon’s wounded shoulder.

Abigor twisted around, releasing a powerful burst of gravitational force.

Damien was hurled backward.

However, he managed to redirect his movement by catching another reflected ray, reappearing just above the ground before he could crash into the rubble.

His breathing grew heavier. His golden aura dimmed. But his attacks had achieved their purpose.

Abigor was now focused entirely on him.

"Enough!" the demon roared.

He thrust his palm toward Damien.

The air compressed around Damien with terrifying force. The ground beneath him sank, and nearby stones were crushed into powder.

Damien gritted his teeth, struggling to maintain his stance.

Abigor sneered.

"Let’s see you escape this!"

That was the moment Arisha had been waiting for.

She drew her bowstring to its limit.

The arrow between her fingers shimmered with concentrated mana, its blue glow becoming so intense that the surrounding air trembled.

She didn’t aim at Abigor’s head.

She aimed at the wounded shoulder Damien had slashed earlier.

[Sky Hunter—First Form: Piercing Sky]

She released the arrow.

Whoosh!

The projectile shot forward with terrifying speed, its concentrated mana enhancing both its penetration and destructive power.

Abigor sensed the incoming attack and attempted to redirect it with gravity.

But the arrow wasn’t approaching from the direction he expected.

Arisha had adjusted its trajectory at the last moment, sending it toward the narrow gap beneath his raised arm.

The arrow pierced his damaged armor and drove deep into his shoulder.

"GRAAH!"

Abigor’s concentration faltered.

The gravitational force crushing Damien weakened for a fraction of a second.

That was all Damien needed. He reflected the light from his blade and vanished.

A golden ray flashed across Abigor’s vision.

[First Form: Radiant Severance]

Damien reappeared directly in front of the demon, bringing his sword down in a devastating vertical slash.

Abigor crossed his arms to defend himself.

BOOM!

The impact forced him backward, tearing open the wounds already inflicted upon his body. Blood sprayed across the shattered ground.

Yet the demon refused to fall.

He snarled and swept his arm outward, unleashing a gravitational shock wave that sent Damien tumbling across the battlefield.

Then his violet eyes turned toward Arisha.

"YOU LITTLE—!"

He raised his hand toward her.

The gravity around Arisha suddenly intensified. Her knees buckled, and her bow nearly slipped from her fingers.

But before Abigor could crush her beneath the pressure, Ken moved. Despite his injuries, the swordsman charged straight toward the demon.

His katana gleamed inside the sheath.

[Tenchi Style—First Form: Quick Severance]

Ken’s blade flashed from its sheath.

Click

The movement was so swift that the eye could barely follow it and then it was already back inside scabbard.

Abigor sensed the attack and attempted to turn, but his injured shoulder slowed his response. The katana cut across his side, opening another deep wound.

Ken didn’t stop there.

He stepped forward, rotating his body as he unleashed his next strike.

[Second Form: Crescent Severance]

His blade swept horizontally, its trajectory curving unexpectedly around Abigor’s attempted defense.

The slash struck the demon’s wounded torso.

Blood spilled onto the ground.

Abigor staggered, his expression twisted with fury.

"YOU—!"

He swung his arm toward Ken.

But Ken had already retreated, narrowly avoiding the blow.

Abigor’s chest heaved as he glared at the three students.

His wounds were accumulating. His armor was shattered in several places, and his control over gravity had become increasingly unstable.

Even so, he remained dangerous.

A surge of mana erupted from his body.

"I’ll crush every last one of you!"

The gravitational pressure around the battlefield intensified.

Ken’s legs trembled. Damien struggled to stand, his golden aura flickering weakly. Arisha could barely keep her bow raised.

They had pushed themselves beyond their limits.

Yet none of them looked away.

Arisha reached for another arrow. This time, she didn’t intend to overwhelm Abigor with raw power.

She intended to deceive him. She drew the bowstring and released an ordinary-looking arrow toward the demon’s chest.

Abigor barely glanced at it. A wave of gravity swept toward the projectile.

But the arrow made no sound. Its mana signature had been suppressed almost completely, leaving barely any trace for Abigor to sense.

[Sky Hunter—Third Form: Phantom Wing]

The arrow slipped through the chaos of the battlefield. At the last moment, Arisha manipulated its trajectory, causing it to veer away from Abigor’s chest and disappear behind a cloud of dust.

Abigor’s eyes widened as he finally sensed it. The arrow emerged from his blind spot, traveling toward the back of his injured shoulder.

He twisted to avoid a fatal strike, but the projectile pierced the side of his neck and tore through the flesh near his collarbone.

"GAAAH!"

His control over gravity faltered. The oppressive force crushing the battlefield wavered.

Ken immediately recognized the opening. He gripped his katana with both hands and poured the last of his strength into his legs.

Abigor’s attention shifted for a fraction of a second.

Behind him, Ken appeared.

His katana was already drawn back.

The swordsman’s dark eyes were cold and unwavering.

He remembered every injury he had suffered, every moment Abigor had toyed with himHe tightened his grip.

"You won’t be getting the eye of nameless... not in this life... not in other."

At the same instant, Arisha released one final mana arrow, aiming directly at Abigor’s wounded leg. The arrow struck, disrupting his stance, not giving him chance to use gravity.

"Argghh!!"

Ken put everything in his last attack.

[Tenchi Style—First Form: Quick Severance]

His blade flashed.

Click

A clean, decisive slash blue thin slash pass through Abigor’s neck.

A clean red line form on his neck.

Thud!

Then his head slipped from his shoulders. His massive body fell to the ground with a heavy thud.

Silence descended upon the ruined battlefield.

Ken remained standing for another second, his katana still extended.

Then his strength finally gave out. He dropped to one knee, breathing heavily.

Arisha lowered her bow, her hands trembling from exhaustion. Damien’s golden aura faded completely as he leaned against his sword to keep himself upright.

None of them spoke. They simply stared at the fallen demon, making sure he wouldn’t rise again.

After everything they had endured, the enemy who had mercilessly overpowered them lay dead before their eyes.

Ken let out a weak laugh. "Well... that was one hell of a fight."

Arisha shot him an exhausted look. "You’re seriously laughing right now? I thought we were all going to die!"

"Well, we didn’t."

"That’s not the point!"

Damien chuckled weakly, though the movement made his aching body protest.

He looked at Abigor’s corpse, his expression growing serious.

They had won.

But the victory had come at a terrible cost, and none of them had any idea what awaited them beyond the ruined battlefield.
