Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World
Chapter 1335 Father And Daughter Reunion [2]
Ever since she had appeared in this wilderness, the strange restriction that had troubled her for so long seemed to have weakened. Now that she examined herself more carefully, she discovered something even more astonishing.
There was no sense of oppression in this realm.
None whatsoever.
Isabella was stunned.
She hurriedly extended her senses toward the surrounding environment. Aside from the sunlight, everything felt strangely comfortable. More importantly, there was an inexplicable sense of belonging that she had never experienced even in the Netherworld.
Isabella's thoughts raced.
There were generally only a few circumstances under which a supernatural could experience such a complete absence of rejection from a realm. The most common explanation was that the individual was within their native realm.
Isabella's body trembled.
Could it be?
Aurora?
Was she actually back in Aurora?
For a moment, Isabella didn't dare believe it.
She had waited for this day for so many years, yet now that it had finally arrived, she didn't dare believe it.
Just then, the strange attraction she had sensed earlier suddenly intensified. Isabella's attention immediately returned to the enormous crimson sun.
That feeling...
Something within the sun was resonating with the incomplete Law she had been struggling to reconstruct ever since her transformation into an undead.
The damaged structure within her soul became increasingly active, almost as though it had discovered something it desperately wanted to approach.
No.
That wasn't quite right.
It wasn't merely attracted to the energy within the sun. It was trying to merge with something that seemed to complement the missing portion of her Law.
Isabella's violet soul flames flickered as she focused on the figure floating within the enormous sphere of crimson flames. She hadn't paid much attention to his appearance earlier. After all, she had no reason to believe that she knew him. But now that she examined him more carefully, she began noticing certain details.
His face. His posture. Even the way he carried himself.
Something about them stirred memories she hadn't revisited in decades.
No...
She stared at the man.
His features seemed recognizable now. So did his voice. But what struck her most was his fire magic.
During her previous life, there had been someone whose fire-related abilities had always left a deep impression on her.
Someone who had spent considerable time teaching her about cultivation.
Someone who had always seemed stern in front of outsiders but treated her with endless patience.
The memories began resurfacing.
A voice calling her name. A man standing beside her as she practiced. A warm smile that she hadn't seen in decades.
It can't be...
But the more she looked, the more difficult it became to deny.
The mysterious senior had suddenly summoned her to what appeared to be Aurora.
Her incomplete Law had discovered something that seemed to be its missing half. And the middle-aged man standing within the crimson sun resembled someone she had believed she would never see again.
One coincidence might have been understandable. Two could perhaps be explained.
But all of them together?
Isabella was no fool. How could she fail to understand what was happening?
Father?
Was that really her father?
Isabella could no longer remain calm. Before she could think any further, a cry filled with decades of longing erupted from her soul.
"DAD!!!"
For a moment, the entire wilderness seemed to fall silent.
The enormous crimson sun stopped expanding. Even the furious flames surrounding Brian appeared to have frozen in place.
However, Michael, who had already been preparing to suppress the old man, didn't pause his actions.
Although Brian had stopped attacking, the energy contained within the enormous sun hadn't disappeared. If the old man lost control of the technique, the consequences could be troublesome.
I should deal with that first.
Taking advantage of Brian's distraction, Michael raised his hand.
A dark fluctuation spread through the surrounding space as he drew upon the Law of his Rank 4 demonic supernatural undead. As his mana circulated, a large quantity of black liquid suddenly appeared in the sky.
At first, it resembled an enormous pool of ink suspended in midair. Streams of black water gathered together, twisting and expanding until they formed the outline of a gigantic hand.
Despite its enormous size, the forming hand moved with surprising precision. Each finger gradually took shape, and the surrounding heat seemed to diminish wherever the dark water passed.
Within moments, the hand had grown large enough to cover a considerable portion of the sky.
Under Michael's control, it reached toward the crimson sun.
Sssssss!
A strange sizzling sound spread through the sky.
The black water made contact with the outermost flames, and clouds of dark vapor immediately rose. However, rather than evaporating, the liquid continued advancing. The flames gradually weakened, their crimson radiance dimming as the black water spread across the sun's surface.
The gigantic fingers curved inward, wrapping around the enormous sphere from several directions.
The crimson sun resisted. Waves of fiery energy surged outward, attempting to push the black water away, but Michael merely increased the flow of mana supporting the technique.
The fingers continued closing until the sun was completely enclosed.
The brilliant crimson light that had illuminated the wilderness disappeared, leaving behind only an enormous mass of black water suspended high in the sky.
With another thought, Michael began shrinking the hand.
The black water compressed inward, forcing the trapped flames into an increasingly confined space. Faint crimson light occasionally escaped through the shifting liquid, only to disappear as the surrounding water tightened its hold.
Within a breath, the gigantic hand had shrunk into a relatively small sphere of black liquid that immediately appeared before Michael.
A faint crimson glow could still be seen moving within it.
Michael examined the sphere briefly before closing his palm.
The black water contracted once more. A final pulse of crimson light struggled against the surrounding darkness.
Then, with a muffled sound, the remaining flames disappeared.
The technique had been completely suppressed.
