Upon hearing Lily's question, Timi's first reaction wasn't to become guarded. There was no reason to be.

Instead, he simply wondered why Lily would need such information.

If he remembered correctly, Lily's realm was called Aurora.

As for the distance between Aurora and Earth, Timi doubted it was something that could even be reasonably measured. In fact, if even Lily, who knew considerably more than he did, had no idea where Earth was in relation to Aurora, there was certainly no way Timi would know.

One thing was clear, though.

Without something like the Universal Cornerstone connecting different worlds, the chances of Lily ever having anything to do with Earth were practically nonexistent. Even with the Universal Cornerstone, that connection was currently little more than a possibility.

So why was she suddenly interested in Earth's countries?

Timi's completely black eyes rested on her.

"Why do you want to know?"

"I have my reasons."

Lily brushed the question aside casually.

"..."

Timi gave her a suspicious glance. Lily returned it with an innocent expression.

Inside, though, she was a little anxious.

It wasn't her home being invaded, but the little she'd heard from Timi was enough to make her feel for him. Unfortunately, much as she wanted to help, she was self-aware enough to know her own limits.

Still, while she couldn't be of much use herself, she felt fairly confident that Michael, whatever he might say to deny it, should be able to offer some assistance. Maybe he couldn't help the whole realm, but he might be able to do something.

She could also subtly tell that Michael's help would be conditional. That wasn't to say he was a bad person.

Perhaps he'd still help regardless of Timi's answer, but Lily felt that the right answer might push her cousin to act faster, or at least keep it in mind.

"Ten countries, huh?" Timi rubbed his smooth chin in contemplation.

Though he was still curious about why Lily would want such useless information, useless, at least to the people of present-day Earth, since anything outside their settlement that didn't affect them counted as useless, it wasn't important enough for him to press her.

He thought about her question instead.

Earth had a total of 195 countries before the apocalypse, at least by the most commonly accepted count.

How many of those countries could still be said to exist was another matter entirely.

Timi could easily name ten random countries and be done with it.

Portugal, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden… there were plenty.

He could also name countries that were popular on the internet for trends, like Nigeria and Ghana for their rivalry in food and almost everything else.

Or Germany, because of a certain German fellow.

For some reason, however, Timi couldn't help feeling that he should put a little more thought into his answer.

Hmmm. Perhaps it was because he found Lily pleasing to the eye.

Timi's fingers continued rubbing his smooth chin.

Although, considering Lily's ignorance regarding Earth, she would likely never appreciate the effort he was putting into answering what should have been such a simple question.

Timi thought back to the world before everything went wrong. After another few seconds, he finally settled on his answer.

"The United States, China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, Germany, India, Brazil, Egypt….."

Timi listed all ten in one go.

Lily's eyes shifted slightly as she silently repeated the unfamiliar names in her head several times, making sure she'd memorized everything correctly before nodding in satisfaction.

"Got it. Thanks!"

Timi merely nodded. He was still curious about what she intended to do with such information, but since Lily clearly wasn't planning to explain, there wasn't much point asking again.

Besides, they had something considerably more valuable to deal with.

The fragments, for example.

Lily glanced toward the Universal Cornerstone towering beside them before turning back to Timi.

"Anyway, register first."

Timi looked toward the black pillar.

"Right now?"

"Yes. Right now."

Lily nodded firmly.

"I already lost sight of you once. If I let you go now, who knows if it'd be years before we see each other again."

Timi's lips twitched slightly. That hadn't exactly been his fault. He couldn't exactly fight the seemingly omnipotent system into obedience, could he?

Still, he didn't object.

The registration process was simple. With Lily's permission as the territory's Registered Lord, Timi only needed to interact with the Universal Cornerstone and accept the corresponding request.

After briefly reading through the information and confirming there was nothing particularly suspicious about it, Timi accepted.

The entire process took less than a minute. From that moment onward, Evergreen Haven was registered to him as a safe territorial location.

Lily visibly relaxed.

"Good."

At least if they became separated again, she wouldn't have to wonder whether Timi had been thrown hundreds or thousands of kilometers away.

She turned away from the Cornerstone.

"Now I'm going to find my cousin."

Timi raised an eyebrow.

"The rich one?"

"My only cousin!"

Lily immediately began making her way toward the subsidiary station. Unlike the Universal Cornerstone, the station wasn't located at the exact center of Evergreen Haven.

It had deliberately been established some distance away, leaving the central region around the Cornerstone available for other important territorial structures.

Timi followed for several steps. It wasn't that he was following her. Her direction just happened to be the way out of the territory.

After a few steps, a thought occurred to him.

"Lily."

"Hm?"

Lily stopped and turned around.

Timi hesitated for a moment before cautiously asking, "Can your Cornerstone take someone to the Land of Origin?"

Lily shook her head.

Timi's expression sank slightly.

"Only my cousin's can."

Lily paused for a moment to think. For Timi to ask such a question meant he wanted to do something related to it.

She had some idea of what that might be, but she wasn't sure. In the end, she made a decision.

"Actually... why don't you come with me?"

"Where?"

"To meet my cousin."

A complicated look crossed Timi's face.

That cousin again.

Lily pointed toward the subsidiary station.

"I don't know if he'll let you use his Cornerstone, but you can ask him yourself."
