However, no one in the entire base dared to laugh at this man’s appearance... because he was Duke Spark, the ruler of the Spark Duchy.

"Sir, the troops we sent were wiped out," a soldier said cautiously.

"Huh? How is that possible? It shouldn’t be possible for weaklings to kill the Pursuing troops." Duke Spark picked up a napkin and wiped his face as he looked at the soldier.

"Indeed, but we have doubts that it was the troops of Silvernum Barony. The troops vanished when they entered the Silvernum Territory," the soldier said, and there was an eerie silence, which made even the maids nervous, and then suddenly...

"Hahahaha!"

The laughter was not filled with amusement but anger, which made everyone who heard him laughing feel a chill run down their spine. When he laughed like this, he had slaughtered hundreds of people, even innocents who were only related to his enemy.

"Baron Victor, was it?" The man’s body trembled with anger. In his and most nobles’ eyes, Victor was still considered a Baron, no matter how powerful he was or how large an army he had. That was the inherent arrogance of nobles; even if the Kingdom promoted him to Duke, many would not recognize his status due to the prejudice of bloodline and would consider him an upstart.

"Good, good. Just some Silvernum bastard dared to kill troops of mine, Dane Spark’s soldiers. How dare he?" Dane said with anger. Dane could already figure out why the trackers of the soldiers had vanished near the Silvernum Lands; it meant his soldiers were dead, and the only one responsible could be the Lord of the Silvernum Barony.

He then turned his glare toward a middle-aged man at the end. He was from the beast-taming clan who had betrayed them and was promised to be the future tribe leader of the beast-taming clan, a position promised by Dane himself. Of course, the current tamer despised him, but Dane promised him that he could produce a new tribe from the children of the women who would be forced to breed new ones, who would be brainwashed to be loyal to Dane.

A large group of people gathered in the room and sat on chairs arranged like a round table, and in the middle, there was an old man who was sweating bullets.

"So, Tribe Elder, do you have anything to say? Did you not tell me no one could escape and that you could handle them? How did they escape?" Dane spoke in a calm voice, but the authority and anger in his tone were unquestionable. The others who heard his voice felt their hearts tighten and could only glare at the Tribe Elder and curse, ’What if the Elder vents his anger on us? Useless fellow, just kill him and don’t target us.’

"I... I don’t know, Leader," the Tribe Elder spoke, swallowing hard. His voice cracked like dry glass.

"Leader, ahhh, forgive me!" Everyone trembled when they saw the leader raise his hand, and the Elder found himself dangling helplessly in the air, unable to resist.

Everyone who saw the Tribe Elder floating midair paled. Their breaths hitched and color drained from their faces as they kept their heads lowered. A bead of sweat rolled down their temples, then another, until their whole bodies were covered in sweat, and they trembled in fear.

"L... L... Leader... I-I was going to—" the Tribe Elder attempted to speak, but his nervousness tangled his words. His voice cracked like dry glass.

Sosh!

The Tribe Elder did not get a chance to speak as he burst out like a lion, and some of the blood and flesh fell on top of the maids who were close by, but they did not react, as they were pale-faced and terrified, their bodies stiff as they did not dare move a muscle in fear of being killed. Quite a few maids were killed for no reason, and they survived as they had learned to read the Duke properly, and now, if they even dared breathe loudly, they would die.

The others in the room who were standing were completely still. Heads lowered. Bodies stiff with terror. Not a single one dared to breathe out loud, let alone intervene. Even those who had started to build good relationships with the Elder knew that if they dared to intervene or even speak, they would face a fate worse than death. They stood frozen in the room, shivers running down their spines.

"And you," the leader snapped, turning to look at one of the members who was standing—the most nervous among them.

"You were also among the ones who were assigned to keep them in check, weren’t you? I remember you wanted to have fun with the woman and children to break the man, didn’t you?" the Duke spoke in a low voice, and his voice caused the temperature in the room to drop even further.

"HAVE MERCY, DUKE SPARK!" The member in guard armor felt a change in his body and shouted at the top of his voice.

"!!!!!" Everyone’s pupils constricted when they saw the next scene.

"AHHHHHH!" The man howled in pain as his body was suddenly ignited by hot flames, and within seconds, he turned to ash along with his armor.

Silvernum Territory

Victor, Amber, Rina, Amanda, Bianca, Watson, Grace, Emily, and even Sophie were all standing in the courtyard.

"Darling, you said you had a way to carry us into the Spark Duchy without getting caught. What was it?" Rina said as she crossed her arms.

"Let me show you," Victor said as he brought out a small boat that could fit in his fist from his inventory.

"Is that it?" Amber stared at the small boat-like object in his hand, and recognition flickered in her eyes.

"How is that toy going to help us?" Amanda asked skeptically.

"Patience," Victor said as he put the boat on the ground, and in the next few seconds, the boat started growing in size.

"What?!" Everyone who saw the boat for the first time exclaimed in shock.

"Now for the last step," Victor said as the boat hovered above the ground, and he climbed on top of it, which started to get covered by a black mist, and then, all of a sudden, the boat vanished from their sight.

"Huh, where did it go?" Amanda mumbled with a frown and then used her skills but still could not find the boat.

Just as Amanda was thinking he ditched them to go to the Spark Duchy, suddenly his voice echoed through the surroundings. "Surprised, are you that you can’t find me?"

"You are still here?" Amanda’s eyes widened in shock when she heard Victor’s words and frantically looked around, but could not even sense him.

"Up here." Victor’s voice echoed, and everyone looked up as the black mist receded. He had moved toward the sky while using the darkness feature, which was responsible for concealing his presence.

"Great, if we use these, we might be able to pull it off," Watson said with excitement, seeing the ability of the ship.

Rina looked at Amber and whispered, "Where did he get this?"

"He got this from an auction back on Earth, which you missed," Amber said with a smile, while Rina’s face darkened.

"All right, everyone, remember to change your outfit to something normal people wear if possible later, and any more questions?" Victor paused, looking at the small group, and continued, "If not, hop onto the ship. We will shortly start our journey."

Step. Step.

Everyone, one by one, stopped dead in their tracks, seeing the amount of luxury he used. Victor looked envious.

"All right, let’s go," Victor said as he jumped on as well. The Ship of Abyss shot straight toward the sky and flew away after activating its skills to conceal the ship.

Whoosh!

Black mist started to be emitted from the ship, which directly enveloped the ship, turning it invisible.

---

After about an hour, Victor used the ship to fly toward the Spark Duchy and spotted the border nearby ahead, which was being patrolled by the Spark Duchy soldiers.

"We are here. The tribe is being held hostage just a bit ahead," Watson said with excitement, to which Victor nodded his head in understanding.

"This place looks too gloomy," Rina commented with a frown on her face as she looked down. She had spotted a few citizens from above and saw their eyes were hollow and tired, like living every day was a miracle for them.

"Indeed, ordinary citizens have the most difficulty surviving. The Duke overtaxes them, which makes them barely able to afford necessities, and many resisted, who were killed. The only way to escape the tax is to become part of their army. This is a vicious ploy to increase the size of the Spark army," Grace said with hatred.

Suddenly, as the ship was flying, a man sharply looked up.
