Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress
Chapter 766: Studying the Statue
Alpha’s actions did not escape Liora’s notice.
Even if one ignored her own strength, her consciousness was already subtly connected to the Primordial Sin World.
There was nothing within its boundaries that could escape her watch.
She showed no displeasure.
Instead, she nodded faintly, feeling that it had been the right decision to let Alpha work in her stead.
At the same time, she thought of something.
“Perhaps it’s time to recruit some more subordinates.”
“With the creation of the Primordial Sin World and all the matters of the Demon World, I’ll have many more things to deal with.”
“It’s impossible for me to waste my precious time taking care of them. Improving my own strength is still my main priority”
“However, it’s equally impossible to throw everything to Alpha. Otherwise, she might really rebel.” Liora whispered.
Saying that, she glanced toward the depths of the Cosmic Sea, where a small, mouse-like creature was playing alone in a vast world.
For a moment, Liora wanted to summon it and assign it some tasks.
Yet upon seeing that its strength was still at the Greater Devil Stage, a long way from advancing to an Archdevil, she shook her head and suppressed the impulse.
Ultimately, it was difficult for other people to keep up with her speed of progress.
If she wanted to find more subordinates, she would either have to recruit talented individuals or directly subdue already powerful beings.
Either way, it would have to wait until later.
Arriving at the depths of the palace, Liora took the initiative to carve out an area in the space, creating a demi-plane that would act as her practice room.
After engraving several Devil formations and making it so that even Ancient Devils wouldn’t dare to approach this place, she took her seat and pondered everything she had learned today.
Her conversation with the Mountain Demon Lord replayed in her mind, specifically the parts about the disappearance of the Princes and Princesses of the Demon World.
She had already learned from the Hollow Ancestor’s memories that Princes rarely interfered in the affairs of the Demon World, which was why she dared to act so openly upon her return.
Yet she never expected that the Mountain Demon Lord would have even greater news for her.
The Princes and Princesses of the Demon World had disappeared!
For other Ancient Devils, the disappearance of such beings had left them unable to take another step forward, killing all hope of advancement.
Yet Liora was different.
At present, her main source of strength was not the Devil power system, but the Cosmic Sea!
As long as she developed this self-created power system to the level of a Prince of the Demon World, she would be able to obtain the corresponding strength!
“Other Devils’ paths are blocked, but I’m different. For me, the disappearance of the Princes and Princesses is actually a good thing.”
“After all, I won’t have to constantly guard against them. With the assistance of the Cosmic Universe, I can be considered invincible in the current Demon World.”
The more she thought about it, the happier Liora became.
If anything, she wished that all the Princes and Princesses would die and never return!
Unfortunately, she knew very well that this was impossible.
Although she couldn’t understand why, the Mountain Demon Lord had used the words “missing” and “departure” rather than “death.”
That meant those beings were still alive. At best, they were merely sealed somewhere and unable to escape.
Most likely, it was not that they were unable to return, but that they had more pressing matters they needed to attend to.
Even then, there were still many Absolute Beginning Devils hidden throughout the Demon World, waiting for an opportunity to advance further.
Recalling this and thinking of the Mountain Demon Lord’s reminder, Liora knew she could not truly relax.
With a thought, she summoned her System Panel.

…
Few things had changed in her displayed information.
Besides the change in the Race column, the most notable differences were the addition of the concept “Ending” to her Throne, as well as the improvements in Imprinting and Evolution Points.
Liora had already checked.
Devouring the soul of the Fallen Ancestor had granted her 10 Evolution Points. Meanwhile, the Holy Land Demon Lord had given her 20 points.
In total, she had obtained 30 Evolution Points from the previous slaughter.
Of course, in Liora’s opinion, it was likely that she had obtained 30 points and a few decimals of a point. It was just that the Evolution System did not display it.
Part of this was because she had only killed a few people today. The other part was that killing beings below the Ancient Devil Stage granted her only a tiny amount of points.
“It seems that in the future, I’ll have to target Ancient Devils rather than conduct large-scale massacres.”
“In a sense, the upgrade of the System is pushing me to become the enemy of all Ancient Devils…” Liora whispered.
The moment she finished speaking, her consciousness descended into the dark void inside the System.
Then, her Evolution Points were consumed.
Only half a minute later, her eyes opened again.
The changes were apparent.

Her timeline had more than doubled in length, granting her a non-insignificant improvement in strength.
After Liora took action to alter the past and conceal its incongruity, she suppressed the backlash from the River of Time and thought for a few seconds.
Then, she waved her hand.
An item flew out and landed in front of her.
It was a statue depicting a majestic lion that could only be described as perfect.
It was tiny in size. Yet the moment it appeared, an overwhelming pressure spread from its body.
Had it not been for the many formations suppressing its momentum, the impact would have likely spread throughout the Primordial Sin World.
Liora was not surprised.
After taking another look at the statue, she waved her hand, picked it up, and began studying it.
“This thing nearly caused my death inside that dimension.”
“To be able to alarm so many powerhouses and make them willing to become my enemies, there should be something special about it.”
