Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 531: Dragon Law & SSS-Rank Talents

What was the most powerful creature in the entire Origin Sea?

Opinions vastly differed.

Some would claim it was Devils and that their ability to invade other worlds and plunder them of their resources set them apart from other races.

Others would claim the Zerg were the strongest due to their overpowering devouring capabilities.

Gods. Angels. Even humans.

One could make a case for all of them.

There were several different answers, and no one could be certain.

However, if one were to rephrase their question into what the most famous race was instead, the answer would be simple:

Dragons.

The legend of this race had long spread throughout the Origin Sea.

No matter what the world’s power system was or how remote it was, there would be legends about it.

As such, when Liora awakened the majestic and overbearing Law and considered the Divine Dragon remains within the demi-plane, she had an answer about its identity.

Dragon Law.

Unlike the Four Elements or Time, this Law did not represent a concept.

It represented the entire race of Dragons.

The stronger the Dragon race was as a whole, the more powerful this Law would become.

Liora’s eyes briefly narrowed.

Her mind connected with the talent gene this Law had fused with, and its information instantly flooded her mind.

As it did, she instinctively activated it, albeit only a portion of its overall power.

Dense scales immediately began appearing all over her right arm, from the shoulder down.

Her nails elongated and grew sharper, while her hand took the form of a dragon claw.

As she waved it forward, the space shattered, as though attacked by an invisible beast.

A claw mark remained behind, taking several seconds for the space to mend together.

Liora sensed that an overwhelming power had wrapped around the arm and remained on the mark, as if the world itself was paying homage to it.

Coupled with the physical strength boost this talent provided, it was more than enough to judge its Rank.

SSS-Rank talent. And not an ordinary SSS-Rank talent at that.

After all, the rest of the plundered talents had also reached the SSS-Rank.

Yet compared to this Dragon-related talent, they far paled in comparison.

Sensing this, Liora couldn’t help but turn her head.

She glanced at the Divine Dragon remains on the opposite side of the demi-plane.

Although a battle between Archdevil beings had occurred, a fight that should have been more than enough to shatter entire worlds, both the demi-plane and the corpse remained intact.

Clearly, the power of the Divine Dragon had long permeated throughout this space.

With its power, elevating an ordinary demi-plane to a level comparable to that of a world was relatively easy.

As its colossal outline was reflected in her crimson eyes, Liora fell into deep thought.

She had no doubts that the Nine-Headed Hydra’s ability to reach this point was due to obtaining the corpse of this Divine Dragon.

Otherwise, even if the other party was truly talented, it would have been impossible to reach this point on its own.

This was the first time Liora had encountered a creature that possessed multiple talents like her.

Besides the influence of the Demon World, only an Ancient Devil-being—or rather its remains—could directly alter the laws of the universe and make this possible.

After thinking for several seconds, Liora decided to approach it. Her footsteps were slow.

As she drew closer, an overwhelming pressure pressed onto her body, seemingly wishing to make her kneel.

Fortunately, her strength had long transformed, both as a Devil and an Awakener.

Although she was unable to contend with a true Ancient Devil, their mere corpse was no longer enough to stun her.

In addition, Liora sensed the Dragon Law activate on its own and resist some of the pressure.

Resonating with the Divine Dragon’s corpse, it began to secretly absorb its aura, growing stronger and feeding back to the talent itself.

This only further confirmed Liora’s suspicions that the two were related.

Since the pressure no longer posed a threat and there was no one left to stop her, it didn’t take long for Liora to stop in front of the dragon remains despite not rushing to do so.

Looking at the colossal body, which was several times larger than the already giant Nine-Headed Hydra, Liora subconsciously let out a sigh.

It deserved to be an Ancient Devil being.

She could tell that this was not its real appearance.

If the Divine Dragon were still alive, it would have been able to shift its size as it deemed fit.

Even becoming larger than entire higher-level worlds was possible, much less maintaining its current appearance.

Liora admired the creature’s appearance for a while. Only moments later did she shift her focus elsewhere.

Her mind wandered, wondering how she should make use of this corpse.

Leaving it in the demi-plane was impossible.

But at the same time, taking it with her was extremely difficult.

At the very least, Liora strongly doubted that such a creature could be stored within a space ring or even the Space Orb.

Most likely, the storage device would shatter.

Obviously, if she wished to take it with her, she would have to resort to other methods.

With that thought, Liora’s face grew serious.

Her World of Heart descended once more onto the demi-plane.

The damage it had previously suffered as a result of the Nine-Headed Hydra’s attacks had vanished, having long healed away.

Moreover, because of her advancement, both as a Devil and an Awakener, her soul had grown stronger, as had the World of Heart.

She didn’t let it expand to its full size.

Instead, Liora shrank it down, carefully controlling it to wrap around the Divine Dragon remains.

Then, she urged it to drag the corpse back into her soul space.

Liora had already made a decision on where to store it.

The answer was weird yet straightforward: within her own soul space.

Given the World of Heart’s current level, even dragging entire worlds into her mind was entirely possible.

Yet when she tried to move the dragon corpse, she faced a large amount of resistance.

Liora had to grit her teeth and fully focus her mind, urging her soul to its fullest before the corpse finally showed signs of moving.

She felt as though she was trying to move an entire building using a simple rope.

Fortunately, this feeling did not last for long. A few minutes later, she finally succeeded.

The dragon corpse rapidly shrank down. Following a woosh, it turned into a stream of light and shot into her forehead.

Liora was not careless.

She didn’t let the corpse wander around her soul space.

She activated both her World of Heart and Throne, enveloping it with their power and forming several seals.

It was only after this process was completed, and she ensured that there would be no hidden danger, that she breathed a sigh of relief.

At the same time, her attention returned to reality.

She squinted her eyes as she absorbed the memories of the Blood Clone, quickly grasping what was happening outside.

The next instant, she casually waved her hand.

A human-sized gap appeared in the space itself, and she stepped inside.

Calm returned to the demi-plane. For a few seconds, it seemed as though the previous battle had never occurred.

Yet only minutes later, this calmness was shattered again.

A familiar consciousness descended. A whisper echoed.

"I almost forgot about this place. It has been influenced by the corpse’s power..."
