Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 343: Liora’s Innocence

Chapter 343: Liora’s Innocence

Unfortunately for some, Mayven did not pay any heed to the Wisp of Time. He continued being entangled with the three Demon Sovereigns, rendering them unable to compete over the treasure.

“Mayven! You’ve gone too far!”

“Damn it!”

His actions made the three Clan Heads furious.

If before, they fought against him just to defend themselves and did not wish to suppress him, then their efforts had now increased.

After all, a treasure like the Wisp of Time had appeared! Mayven stopping them was akin to robbing them of their treasure.

These Clan Heads were filled with anger, but the rest of them were not. In fact, they really wished to thank Mayven for removing some of the competition.

With four Demon Sovereigns unable to compete, the chances of them obtaining the Wisp of Time had increased significantly.

A giant claw, a sharp sword, a hand made of wriggling matter, and other inexplicable attacks rushed towards the Wisp of Time.

They collided in the air and tried to bypass each other, ready to pocket the treasure and run away.

Five Demon Sovereigns attacking at the same time took a heavy toll on the world itself. Several layers of space cracked and quickly expanded, swallowing the closest Demon Saints who had let down their guard.

The aftermath of their fight had now begun to affect the surroundings, too.

However, the Demon Sovereigns did not care.

Their powers continued entangling each other, fighting over the ownership of the Wisp of Time.

However, just when one was about to emerge victorious and grab the droplet, this inanimate object suddenly moved.

Making a U-turn while in the air, it escaped the grasp of the Demon Sovereign, dodged the other attacks, and rushed into the distance.

“How dare you?!”, the person couldn’t help but shout in fury, but his anger was ultimately meaningless.

The droplet ignored his words and shot through the air, gradually approaching the Demon God’s Cemetery.

The expressions of the Clan Heads changed.

Their fight paused for a brief moment, and they exchanged a quick glance. Within a split second, they reached an agreement.

They no longer targeted each other.

Their blows whistled through the air and merged together, all aiming at the fleeing Wisp of Time.

Due to its proximity to the Demon God’s Cemetery, the demi-plane was also affected. The entire world shook violently, as if it were about to burst.

If it were any other time, the Clan Heads would have never taken the initiative to attack it, afraid that something would go wrong with the Demon God’s seal and he would reappear.

However, now that the Wisp of Time had emerged, it meant a lot:

Most likely, the Demon God had already broken free.

If that was the case, what did they have to fear? For what reason would they hold back?

With that in mind, even though the Demon Sovereigns saw the demi-plane being affected, they did not suppress their attacks.

Instead, their momentum surged even further, causing the space around them to shatter.

Now, they were not only targeting the Wisp of Time, but also the demi-plane itself.

Considering their extraordinary power, the Demon God’s Cemetery had little power to resist.

Cracks appeared all over its surface while its light started to dim at a terrifying rate.

The Demon Sovereigns were ruthless! They were planning to destroy the entire demi-plane.

And, with their full efforts, they were about to succeed.

“Sigh…”

Just then, though, a faint whisper echoed from within the demi-plane.

The Demon God’s Cemetery trembled faintly before three lights shot out.

At the same time, an inexplicable power appeared and smoothed out the impact of the Demon Sovereign’s blows.

The space turned back to normal, while the flickering light of the demi-plane soon regained its former brilliance.

However, almost no one had time to pay attention to this phenomenon.

The moment the three lights emerged in the main world, their identities were revealed.

Three enormous beings, two men and one woman, showed up, each possessing an aura that could compete with the people outside.

“Hahaha! We’ve finally returned!”

“You traitors! Are you ready to die?”

“The glory of the Divine Dynasty is about to reappear!”

The three beings all spoke loudly one after another, and their deafening words spread throughout the battlefield.

The five Demon Sovereigns were stunned at first and let the Wisp of Time slip away. However, when they saw the three newcomers, their expressions changed.

There was a hint of fear at first, but it was soon replaced by amusement.

“It’s you! I remember that the other six Hall Masters were found dead!”

“Only you three were nowhere to be found! It seems that you survived the war!”

“No! Not only did you not die, but you three have broken through the Demon Sovereign realm.”

As they spoke, the expressions of the Clan Heads grew solemn. However, they soon regained their composure.

“But you overestimate yourselves if you think that you can stop us.”

“So what if you have broken through? Can you compete with us?”

Having said this, neither party spoke any further.

The eight Demon Sovereigns all took action, dividing the chaotic battlefield into two parties once again.

Unfortunately, there was a huge gap between the two this time. The Clan Head who had spoken earlier was correct.

Although the three Hall Masters had indeed broken through, they had only just done so. On the other hand, the Clan Heads were veteran Demon Sovereigns.

Moreover, there were five of them compared to the opponents’ three.

As such, the outcome had already been decided the moment the fight began.

Only a few seconds later, the three Hall Masters found themselves injured. One of them coughed out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying, while another one had half of their body eaten by a monster.

Although they quickly recovered, it was only a matter of time before their Divine Aura would be exhausted.

The Demon Saints in the distance had no idea about what was happening.

They only knew that three new individuals had appeared, though none of them could understand their identity.

Only Liora heard the words of the Clan Heads and, coupled with her understanding of this world’s history, guessed that these three were under the command of the Demon God.

Placing the returning Wisp of Time back into her space ring, she looked at the Demon God’s Cemetery with some regret.

“I thought that the Demon God would be forced out. I didn’t expect that guy to have secretly trained three subordinates.”

“Sure enough, such a person must have grand plans and several trump cards. It’s impossible that he has wasted the past thousands of years.”

Ultimately, it was to be expected.

Moreover, in Liora’s opinion, the Demon God was bound to leave his seal.

Didn’t you see that his three subordinates were being tossed around everywhere, having turned into the Demon Sovereigns’ punching bags?

Could it be that the Demon God was going to watch them die?

Thinking of this, Liora decided against taking action.

She continued observing from the side, mingling with the rest of the Weapon Masters with a “terrified” expression on her face.

Her body trembled, and her teeth clattered with fear, causing the nearby Weapon Masters to look at her with pity.

Although they could not recognize her, judging by her young appearance and her intense reaction, this girl must be really innocent.

Perhaps this was the first time she had left the Clan. Yet now, she was forced to become a witness to an earth-shattering battle.

If any powerful being were here to witness the entire sequence of events, though, they would immediately curse at these people!

Was Liora an innocent girl who was unintentionally affected?

It hadn’t been long since she awakened her memories, yet she had already made the strongest people in this world fight each other.

Mayven engaging in a life-and-death battle was her doing, and the same was true for the battle between the Hall Masters and the Clan Heads.

In fact, this whole battle, involving twelve Greater Devils, was all the result of her involvement!
