Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 342: Making the Situation Chaotic

Chapter 342: Making the Situation Chaotic

Mayven’s sudden attack caught the other Clan Heads off guard. However, they quickly reacted and summoned their own Demon Sovereign Weapons to defend.

In an instant, nine Demon Sovereign auras appeared.

Clearly, things were not as simple as they seemed.

These ordinary Clan Heads, who appeared to be Demon Saints on the surface, were actually powerful Demon Sovereigns.

Because of Mayven’s outburst, they were forced to reveal their real power.

Although Mayven had gone crazy and became the public target of everyone, he did not stand out alone.

Several Demon Sovereigns took his side and helped him fend off some of his opponents, urging everyone to calm down and put down their weapons.

Unfortunately, their efforts did not prove very useful. Not only did the battle not calm down, but it instead intensified.

Mayven waved his curved blade around and tried to open a path amidst the Demon Sovereigns, as if he had vowed to wipe out the surviving Weapon Masters.

While the Demon Sovereigns were trying their best to contain him, the Priests were not idle.

With a wave of their hands, they wrapped their respective Clan members with their Divine Aura and rushed away, opening some distance between them and the battlefield.

Although they were all Demon Saints, they found it difficult to withstand the impact of the fight’s aftermath.

The bright lights flashing all over the place blinded them, rendering them unable to see what was going on.

They all knew that their Clan Heads were engaged in combat and the situation was serious, but they could not figure out exactly what was happening.

If that was the case for them, the Demon Saints, then one could only imagine the helplessness that the Weapon Masters felt.

At least, all but one of the “Weapon Masters”.

Among the group protected by the Dark Demon Clan’s Priests, a certain girl looked at the battle in the distance with faint curiosity.

Unbeknownst to everyone, her gaze followed the rapidly-moving figures.

“Tsk, tsk. How crazy…”

“Does Mayven really dare to fight all the Demon Sovereigns?”, the girl, or rather, Liora, couldn’t help but shake her head with amusement.

Even she had not expected such a result.

The moment she entered the Demon God’s Cemetery, she had discarded the identity of Ophis and acted under her real appearance.

Thus, when the demi-plane opened and was about to force them out, she didn’t return to the Ouroboros Clan but rather infiltrated the Dark Demon Clan group.

She had originally predicted that Mayven would do something, such as blame one of his enemies.

However, she had never expected that he would actually target everyone instead.

“However, this guy’s power is astonishing.”

“He can fight against three Demon Sovereigns to a standstill. Although this is related to the fact that these people are unwilling to risk their lives, it’s still quite impressive.”

Coupled with the two Demon Sovereigns who chose to take his side and restrained the remaining three Clan Heads, the fight was not as one-sided as one would expect.

Observing their fighting methods, which were all geared toward their respective Demon Weapons, Liora silently analyzed their combat power and means.

“They are all very strong. Even though Demon Weapons are outside forces, an ordinary Demon Sovereign should be able to fight against a Greater Devil at the first stage.”

“A more powerful one like Ophis’ father might be able to compete against someone at the second stage. Even if he is defeated, he has a chance to escape.”

While Liora was thinking, Mayven’s curved blade teleported through space and arrived before one of the Clan Heads besieging him.

The latter looked anxious and immediately raised his shield to defend.

With a crash, the curved blade bounced off the shield, and Mayven retreated.

Unfortunately, the Demon Sovereign was sent flying as a result, and his right arm was cut off.

It was only then that the other two Demon Sovereigns stepped forward and stopped Mayven from resuming his assault.

Seeing this, Liora shook her head once more.

“The nine Divine Clans are all divided.”

“Although they are currently teaming up to restrain him, their alliance is one of interests after all. In fact, these Clan Heads secretly hope for some of them to die.”

However, everyone already knew that now was not the right time to do so.

The Demon God was about to revive, and every dead Demon Sovereign increased the chances of something going wrong.

Therefore, the battle of the five Clan Heads on the side gradually decreased in momentum.

In Liora’s opinion, it was only a matter of time before these five would put away their weapons and try to convince everyone to give up.

Seeing this, Liora turned her head back to the other part of the battlefield.

Staring at Mayven, who was rampaging but whose eyes possessed a very clear look, a frown emerged on her face.

But it was soon replaced by a smile.

“You might all want for the battle to be over, but how can I let you guys do as you wish?”

“It’s better for the situation to be even more chaotic!”

“In fact, it would be best if you all died!”

After scanning over the dumbfounded Demon Saints and making sure that they weren’t paying attention to her, Liora’s right hand secretly moved behind her back.

Her consciousness connected to her space ring, and a translucent drop suddenly flew out and landed on it.

Then, with a flick of her fingers, it was sent flying towards the battlefield in the sky above.

Her power wrapped around the droplet and concealed its presence. It was only when the droplet reached the center of the battlefield that she finally stopped protecting it.

Instantly, the droplet exuded a very faint, almost impossible to detect aura.

The Demon Saints did not notice it.

However, the Clan Heads immediately captured its arrival despite being engaged in a fierce battle.

A trace of surprise flashed in the eyes of everyone. They were all confused by this sudden change, but they soon all woke up.

“This aura… It’s the aura of the Demon God!”

“It’s true! I can sense the power of time! Only the Demon God possesses such a power!”

The many Demon Sovereigns showed fear, but their eyes also shone with unabashed greed.

Sensing the aura and seeing the droplet floating not far away, they appeared to have recognized it.

Immediately, several Demon Sovereigns took action from afar and tried to intercept it.
