Chapter 154: Aiden’s Thoughts, Cheryl’s Question
Chapter 154: Chapter 154: Aiden’s Thoughts, Cheryl’s Question
“Why?” Rainn couldn’t help but ask.
In her mind, Aiden was smart. He should have realized that the Abyss Demons would soon launch a bigger attack.
With a lot of Epic Rank materials, she could grow faster and get more support from regular Miko.
So why did Aiden say she was wrong?
Aiden sighed and said slowly, “You’re thinking too simply.”
“Rainn, you’re a smart Miko, but it’s not enough.”
“Recently, I thought the same way. I believed that when the danger came, human countries would unite.”
Aiden shook his head and continued, “But the truth showed me that the world is more complicated than we thought. People are more complicated too.”
He remembered when the secret area of the Fallen God’s Land appeared. His idea didn’t work at all.
“I ask you, among the Miko clan, there are also old Miko families. Do their ideas match yours or the ideas of regular Miko?”
Rainn had no answer.
Without saying much, she couldn’t even answer this question.
The two Primordial Miko who now rule the Miko land have been fighting each other.
Their old Miko families also often fight over different interests.
How could their ideas be the same as the regular Miko?
“But the Miko clan lives next to the Demon Clan. If the Demons take over Earth and get a lot of resources, they will definitely attack us.”
“The Primordial Miko and the old Miko families should all realize this danger.”
“The best way is to stop the Demon expansion. I’m right, aren’t I?” Rainn said with a determined look.
Aiden nodded and smiled. “Yes, we should stop the Demon expansion. That’s right.”
Rainn suddenly felt confused. She thought he said she was wrong earlier.
Now why is he saying she’s right?
Rainn thought for a moment and quickly realized the problem. She asked carefully,
“Do you mean I should find a different way to get all the regular Miko, the Primordial Miko, and the old Miko families to act?”
“But what other way is there besides convincing them?”
Aiden took a deep breath and looked up at the endless darkness of the Abyss. He said quietly,
“Convincing? No. We just need to get stronger and grow faster. That way, we’ll have the most power and control. Everyone—every Miko—will follow the path we set.”
This was an idea Aiden had kept inside his heart for a long time. He had never told anyone, or even said it out loud.
Because if others heard it, they would think he was just dreaming.
After the events in the White City and the secret area near the Sovereign City, this idea had started to grow in his mind.
Whether for all humans, the Great Shaw Empire, or the future Class Change missions, he needed to make sure Earth stayed safe.
To be honest, Felix’s words at the time had stayed with Aiden.
A lot of this idea came from learning from an enemy.
Rainn stood there, shocked by what Aiden said. Her eyes were wide, and she was lost in thought.
After a long silence, she finally swallowed and said,
“Your idea is… too hard.”
“The Demon Clan is probably testing your strength now. If you handle it well, they might not attack soon.”
“But if they find your weaknesses, the results could be bad.”
Rainn thought she was smart. She could think of things other Miko couldn’t.
But now, she felt like she couldn’t even compare to Aiden.
Even if she became a real Primordial Miko, there were still two others already in power.
She could never get the whole Miko clan to follow her exactly.
And humans had even more countries. Trying to make them all move in one direction was almost impossible.
“It’s hard, but that doesn’t mean there’s no hope,” Aiden shook his head, a little confidence in his eyes.
He thought there was still a long time before the Abyss Demons attacked in a big way.
The situation was too complicated. Human nations, hidden families, the Dawn Society, and others—all could cause big problems, and things could change fast.
Plus, if they got the Floating City, it would be a big warning to the Demons.
Aiden slowly explained his plan.
Rainn listened and took two steps closer to Aiden.
Most of the time, when she talked to her sister Cheryl, Cheryl just nodded.
Then, a few minutes later, Cheryl would forget everything.
But with Aiden, Rainn found herself not understanding a lot of what he said.
So she had to ask questions, carefully and often.
…
An hour later, Rainn looked at Aiden with mixed feelings and said,
“If you were a Miko, I would do anything to make you a Primordial Miko.”
Aiden smiled. If he were a Miko, he probably wouldn’t have the 10,000x Critical Hit system.
“Okay, that’s all I have to say. I’ll give you the materials. But you also need to swear again to the Supreme Miko. You must promise not to harm the Miko clan, not you, and not your sister.”
Rainn took a deep breath and nodded without hesitation, then started her oath again.
Aiden took out 500 Epic Rank materials, 1000 Starlight Rank materials, and whatever Diamond Rank materials were left in his storage, and handed them to Rainn.
He didn’t fully agree with Rainn’s idea, but it wasn’t a big problem.
Just some materials. It was like an extra investment.
The Miko sisters were like a promising stock. His judgment should be right.
Rainn looked at all the materials in front of her and nervously glanced around, as if someone else might suddenly appear and steal them.
She quickly picked up everything on the ground.
After a while, there were still a dozen Diamond Rank materials left. Rainn stood up and said, a little embarrassed,
“Is there any space item or equipment? I can’t carry all of this.”
“If I had known one day I’d have so much valuable stuff, I’d have gotten a bigger bag,” she added.
Aiden looked at the remaining dozen Diamond Rank materials and said,
“I don’t have any space items or gear. There’s only a few left. You don’t need to carry them.”
“These materials, Faye doesn’t even want to eat them these days.”
Rainn quickly shook her head, “No way! These are yours, and they’re all Diamond Rank!”
She thought for a moment, then took off her black robe and put the remaining Diamond Rank materials into it.
Without the robe, Rainn was left in a soft, silk-like inner layer.
The material was smooth and close to her skin, showing off her figure clearly in front of Aiden.
To be honest, Rainn’s chest and hips weren’t as big as her sister Cheryl’s, but they looked soft and natural.
“Okay, now I can take them all!” Rainn smiled.
Her smile was bright, her eyes slightly closed, her lips curved up, and small dimples appeared on her cheeks.
“You smile really nicely,” Aiden said honestly.
He thought of a flower—Apeldoorn tulip. It made things feel fresh and new.
Rainn lowered her head, and her smile became a little awkward.
Since the rest of her family was killed, she and her sister Cheryl had been the only ones left. They had suffered a lot.
The last time she smiled, was it because her sister Cheryl got stronger?
And no Miko had ever said she looked nice when she smiled—except her dead parents.
Rainn took a deep breath, her voice a little shaky as she whispered,
“Th—thank you.”
She bit her lip, walked over to Aiden, and stood on her toes. She gently pressed her soft lips against his face.
Pshhh
A soft kissing sound. Rainn immediately lowered her head and ran away from the forest like she was running for her life.
Aiden stood still, a little surprised. He instinctively touched his cheek where she had kissed him. There was a faint red mark.
“Doesn’t Miko have any kissing customs?” he said, not sure.
It had all happened so fast, and it felt good. He didn’t want to stop it.
“Rainn’s lips are really soft,” a strange thought suddenly popped into Aiden’s mind.
He shook his head hard, then turned and left the forest.
Back at their camp, Cheryl had already built two simple wooden huts. They weren’t pretty, but they kept the wind and rain out. That was enough.
Aiden had never seen the Abyss rain before.
They ate a little of their own food, talked for a while, and then got ready to sleep.
As soon as Aiden lay down in the small hut, he heard a light footstep outside.
The door was gently knocked twice. Then Cheryl’s voice came in.
“Hey, Aiden… are you asleep?”
Aiden got up, opened the door, and saw Cheryl in her tight combat suit.
“No, I was just about to sleep. What’s up?”
Cheryl bit her lip, looking a little nervous. But she still asked,”Umm… do you… like my sister?”
