Chapter 346: Chapter 166: You’re So Good at This!
Su Ran agreed. ’Since I’m already calling her "sister," she can’t just be one in name only. Of course she has to spend some money on me.’
Su Ran changed into the suit and studied his reflection in the mirror. He was, indeed, quite handsome. He had to admit that since becoming a Divine Rich, the most crucial quality to possess was an ’aristocratic temperament.’ Su Ran was slowly acquiring it, though it wasn’t very strong yet and would need to be cultivated over time. After all, if a Divine Rich didn’t have a distinguished air, what kind of Divine Rich would he be? Right?
’A suit?’
Su Ran figured that as his status grew, he’d probably need one for many future occasions. It was practically a necessity.
The system replied: [Received. The Mushroom House is about to be upgraded!]
’I can’t wait.’
"Wait a second." Reba picked out a tie and started to put it on Su Ran, but then decided it was too much and set it aside. She undid the top button of his shirt, stepped back, and examined him for a couple of seconds. "It looks better without a tie. Come here." She leaned against the wall and beckoned with her finger. Su Ran walked over, but instead of stopping, he placed a hand on the wall next to her head, cornering her. Whoa—Reba’s face instantly turned red. She ducked under his arm to escape, then took a few deep breaths with her back to him to compose herself before turning around to glare. "You did that on purpose, didn’t you?"
"You made me blush, so I thought I’d return the favor."
"Let me tell you something, Su Ran. Don’t play these little games. They’re dangerous. Now, get over here. Come on... get over here." When he didn’t move, Reba grabbed him and pulled him over to a display of small accessories. She picked up a pair of handsome cufflinks and began fastening them to his sleeves. "Your hands are actually really nice," Reba said. "Long and fair. Nicer than most guys’ hands."
"Is that so?"
Su Ran’s fingers twitched, a subtle display of his Finger Technique Fragrance.
’Damn...’
As his middle and index fingers vibrated at a high frequency, Reba instantly got it. Torn between laughter and tears, she fought the urge to punch him. "You’re so young, why are you learning such bad things?" she grumbled. "What on earth have you been getting into?"
’She was speechless. Just how much of a player was this guy?’
"What are you thinking? Have you read *Grave Robbers’ Chronicles*? You know how your beloved Zhang Qiling has that really long index finger for Acupoint Exploration? I learned this for that, too—for tomb-raiding Acupoint Exploration. It’s my major, after all. So, Sister Reba, don’t get the wrong idea, you hear?"
"Oh, right, right. It’s for Acupoint Exploration. Do you have any other Skills?"
"That’s it."
"Really? That’s it?"
"Er, well, there is one more."
"What is it?"
"This."
Su Ran opened his mouth, and his tongue moved with incredible flexibility, like a three-petaled lotus flower.
PFFT...
Forcing herself to remain calm, she asked, "Is this one for tomb raiding, too? Don’t tell me it’s for... licking mummies?"
"Not for licking mummies."
"Then what is it for?"
"It’s for licking..."
"Stop, stop, stop! Okay, just don’t say it."
She felt her skin crawl and turned to go pay at the front desk. She just couldn’t handle Su Ran’s repertoire of Skills.
’He’s going to be the death of me.’
Still, looking at Su Ran’s gentle and refined appearance, who would have thought he was hiding so many Skills?
After they left the clothing store, Reba asked again, "You have any other Skills?"
Su Ran stuck his hands in his pockets and replied nonchalantly, "Nope, that’s it."
"Really? I’m sure you have more. Show me another one."
"You really want to see?"
"Of course."
"You won’t hit me if I see it?"
"I won’t."
"Then give me the ring on your hand. I’ll show you a magic trick."
Reba complied. Su Ran took the ring and asked for a hug. She obliged, and afterward, Su Ran opened his hand. The ring was gone.
"Where’d it go?"
"It’s on you."
"On me? Where?"
Reba searched her bag, but it wasn’t there. Then she felt something lodged in her bra. She reached into her sweatshirt and fished it out—it was the ring.
"You..."
"Stop. You said you wouldn’t hit me."
"How did you do that?"
"A magician never reveals his secrets. Want to see more? I can make it appear somewhere else on your body."
"Somewhere else on my body... I’m going to kill you!"
Still playfully bickering, they got out of the car in front of a high-end salon, where Reba planned to get Su Ran a new hairstyle.
’The ’Tonys’ inside didn’t have brightly colored hair. Instead, they all had black hair and wore matching uniforms... Is this that legendary principle of ’the greater the mastery, the simpler the form’? Does it apply to hairstylists, too?’
The person styling Su Ran’s hair was the salon’s lead stylist, Daniel. Reba explained that Daniel often worked with celebrities. He was even the one who did Xiaolu’s hair that one time.
The prices were steep.
After getting his hair washed, he sat down.
Su Ran wasn’t picky, so he let Reba decide. ’My head shape is good, and with a face like this, I’d look handsome even with a shaved head.’
Reba: "How about a tinfoil perm?"
Su Ran: "No."
Su Ran’s blunt "No" made her giggle. He was just like a Stubborn little kid.
"I’m just teasing. It’s not like you’re a player. Let me think about what hairstyle would actually look good on you."
One of a girl’s greatest pleasures is giving a guy a makeover—transforming a boy she finds handsome into the manga protagonist of her dreams. It provides a huge sense of accomplishment. Reba and Daniel studied Su Ran’s head for ages before deciding to keep it simple. Su Ran already had a clean-cut look, and anything too complicated would ruin it. They settled on a style that was fluffy and fresh, with slightly trimmed sideburns. Just for that, the price was 8,800.
Reba stood by, snapping photos in anticipation.
As the new hairstyle took shape, Reba fell silent. Staring at Su Ran’s reflection, his face framed by the new cut—’Isn’t this the perfect image of my ideal manga protagonist?’
Daniel praised Su Ran, saying he had great features to work with. Su Ran, of course, already knew this, but he humbly replied that he was just average.
Once his hair was blow-dried and styled, he took a careful look in the mirror... ’Zun Long 2.0.’
He turned to Reba. "Do I look good?"
"It’s hideous. You can pay for it yourself."
