Everyday Romance After Becoming a Billionaire
Chapter 345 - 166: You’re So Smooth!
Chapter 345: Chapter 166: You’re So Smooth!
After liking a few posts, Liu Piaopiao updated her Moments: "[Tada! My figurine finally arrived! Mwah~ I love it to death!]" She attached a photo of herself posing with a maid figurine of Rem from *Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World*, her hair tied in a bun and a radiant smile on her face.
The sun was shining, and all was right with the world.
Su Ran liked the post, locked his phone, and went back to his room, where he flopped down and went straight to sleep.
His afternoon nap lasted until four o’clock. Su Ran had always been a good sleeper—it was easy to sleep soundly when you were carefree. And now that he had money, he naturally had to get some "rejuvenating sleep," which meant sleeping until he woke up on his own. However, a phone call woke him up. It was Reba. "Su Ran, what are you doing?"
"I was taking a nap."
"You’re still sleeping at this hour? You must have a woman with you, right?"
"No woman. I’m by myself."
"You can really sleep for someone who’s all alone. I’ve already finished another gig."
’A gig?’
Su Ran was suddenly wide awake.
"What the heck is a ’gig’?"
"You don’t even know what that is?"
"Hang on, let me look it up..."
"Oh, so you went to make money. I’m envious. Sister Reba, I want to go gigging with you, too."
"Sure, next time I go gigging I’ll take y—" Just as she said that, she instantly realized he was making a dirty joke. She was speechless. "Young Mr. Su Ran, you can’t be like this, you know! There are no ’gigs’ for you!"
She bit her lip, exasperated. She figured it was because they were getting more familiar with each other. The Su Ran from before, who kept mistakenly calling her ’Sister Naza,’ now made dirty jokes at the drop of a hat. And his jokes were so subtle—a real ’old driver.’ What a cheeky kid.
If it had been anyone else, she would have hung up long ago.
Only with Su Ran did she feel like it was just a joke.
"Stop sleeping. I’m at the hotel entrance now. Come down."
"You come up."
"I’m not coming up. You come down. I’m taking you to get styled so you’ll look good for the event tonight."
"Hmm... alright. Wait for me."
Su Ran figured that since he was attending an event that night, he should probably look his best. He agreed, got out of bed, dressed, and went downstairs. As he passed the front desk, the young woman there greeted him politely. At a five-star hotel like the Shangri-La Grand Hotel, even the receptionists looked five-star. She wore an OL-style uniform with stockings and high heels, sitting with a poised and proper air. She watched the newly checked-in Mr. Su walk toward a "fully armed" woman at the entrance. She had no idea who the woman was, but for a client staying in the presidential suite—and one so young at that—she figured he was there to fool around with some celebrity or internet influencer. She’d seen it all before. The receptionist knew she didn’t need to investigate how important Mr. Su was. She only needed to figure out who the celebrity or influencer was. An eighteenth-tier? Third-tier? Second-tier? First-tier? Or a top-trending A-list starlet?
The higher up the ladder the woman was, the more powerful Mr. Su’s background must be.
As for why she immediately assumed the "fully armed" person outside was a celebrity or influencer—what normal person would be bundled up so tightly that only their eyes were showing, all while looking around nervously, worried someone might see them?
If she wasn’t a celebrity, she was a lunatic.
Su Ran strode out of the hotel and approached the "fully armed" girl standing under the shade of a tree by the roadside. She wore tight black pants that accentuated the beautiful lines of her legs, a hooded sweatshirt, a flat cap, and a face mask.
A faint scent of Chanel perfume wafted from her. Her fingernails were beautifully manicured, and on her wrist was a diamond-studded Van Cleef & Arpels "Auspicious Cloud" watch worth millions.
Su Ran deliberately asked, "And you are?"
"I... Let’s go," Reba said cautiously, as if they were having a secret affair.
"I can only see your two eyes. I can’t see anything else. I don’t know who you are." Su Ran ’stubbornly’ refused to go with her.
"Can’t you recognize my voice? It’s me, Reba. Your Sister Reba. What other part of me do you need to see?"
"What part can you show me?"
WHAP~
Reba punched him.
"Where are your eyes looking?"
Reba pressed her legs together, speechless. ’Does he really need me to prove my identity or something?’
Sigh...
"You see it’s me now, right?"
She yanked down her mask for Su Ran to see, confirming her identity.
Her hair was tied in a bun, with a few stray strands falling by her ears. Her features were exquisite, her skin as smooth as polished jade. This look, he imagined, must have cost millions, if not tens of millions, in upkeep.
It was only for a second before she immediately pulled her mask back on.
"I didn’t get a clear look."
"Let’s go. You can take a long look later."
"Really?"
WHAP~
"Don’t get any funny ideas. I was talking about my face."
"I was talking about your face, too."
"Enough nonsense. Get in..."
Reba pulled open the door to the van, shoved Su Ran inside, then got in herself, and they left.
「In the car.」
Reba took off her mask, reached out with both hands, and turned Su Ran’s head to face her, their eyes meeting. "Look. Get a good, clear look. Is it me... Hehehe... Su Ran, you’re blushing. No way. You’re actually blushing just from looking at me."
Reba burst out laughing.
With only twenty centimeters between them, their faces that close, it was no wonder he was blushing. This was Reba, a top-tier starlet in the entertainment industry and a celebrity Su Ran had a huge crush on back in high school. It would be weirder if he *didn’t* blush!
"You were my idol in high school, after all. It’s normal to blush."
"I’m still your idol? No way, I’m that honored? Then tell me, what shows of mine have you seen?"
"*Heaven’s Choice*!"
"Drop dead!"
...
They drove to a high-end suit shop, where a still "fully armed" Reba bustled about, picking out a suit for Su Ran.
Hmm... Su Ran had never actually worn a suit before. Luckily, Reba knew what she was doing, so she took charge of picking one out for him. She said it was a gift, since it was because of him that Aunt Luo had agreed to cast her.
