Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Another High-level Sentinel, Yun Sheng Is Abducted

Bai Ye’s spiritual power condensed into countless silver blades that blotted out the sky as they slashed down at Si Jin.

Si Jin’s Dark Power instantly formed a deep vortex that devoured and crushed the blades.

The two torrents of spiritual power intertwined and tore at each other in a frenzy, sending out ripples visible to the naked eye that made the very air tremble.

With their spiritual power evenly matched, Bai Ye immediately swung his blade. The strike missed, its edge grazing past Si Jin’s ear and severing a few strands of hair.

As Si Jin sidestepped the attack, he threw a punch wreathed in Dark Power, slamming it viciously toward Bai Ye’s stomach.

Bai Ye raised his arm to block. The impact of fist on forearm produced a dull thud, and the resulting shockwave left both their arms numb.

He threw a back-elbow straight at Si Jin’s jaw. Si Jin twisted his head to avoid it, but Bai Ye used the momentum to grab him by the shoulder.

They both exerted force at the same time and were once again thrown back several steps by a shockwave, their feet kicking up explosive bursts of air in the sky.

But a second later, they instantly closed the distance, clashing once more.

They were just trading blows, with no discernible technique—like a common brawl. A punch for a kick, each blow landing with brutal, flesh-on-bone impact.

And yet, the power behind each strike was enough to distort the air and make the ground tremble.

"Are you fucking crazy?!" Si Jin roared, throwing a punch.

Bai Ye dodged with a tilt of his head and caught Si Jin’s wrist. His voice was as cold as ice.

"You started it."

"I started it? After what you did to Yun Sheng, you think I shouldn’t have hit you?!"

"She was helping me of her own free will."

"Bullshit!"

The two slammed into each other again. Their powerful SSS-level spiritual power clashed wildly, sending shockwave after shockwave rippling outward.

Yun Sheng stood below, watching the two figures clashing relentlessly in midair, her heart in her throat.

She wanted to scream at them to stop. ’Those two bastards, don’t they know where they are or what’s going on?!’

But she opened her mouth, and the instant she made a sound, it was drowned out by the deafening crashes.

The two were locked in such a furious battle they couldn’t hear her at all.

Yun Sheng bit her lip and glanced around nervously.

’After all, there are still so many pollutants around...’

But one look, and she froze.

The pollutants that had been eyeing them menacingly were now cowering, trembling, and scrambling to retreat.

One low-level pollutant was caught by a shockwave; its limbs gave out, and it collapsed to the ground, whimpering and trembling uncontrollably.

Several others nearby turned to flee in terror, only for their legs to give out after a few steps. They fell, scrambling and crawling to escape into the distance.

Even the few S-Class pollutants had retreated over a hundred meters, staring warily at the two terrifying figures in the sky, not daring to take a single step closer.

Yun Sheng stared blankly at the scene, suddenly at a loss for words.

’These two are fighting...’

’And they’ve scared off all the pollutants?!’

’But if they keep this up, what about their spiritual landscapes? The cracks in both will probably widen until they lose control and go berserk!’

Yun Sheng looked up at the two figures still locked in their frantic battle, took a deep breath, and screamed at the top of her lungs, "Stop fighting..."

No one paid her any mind.

The two were too engrossed in their fight to hear her.

A vein throbbed in Yun Sheng’s temple. She turned to the two spiritual bodies nearby.

But they were busy tearing each other apart, fighting even more viciously than their masters!

The White Tiger sank its teeth into the giant wolf’s foreleg. Yelping in pain, the wolf spun and swiped a claw at the tiger’s face.

The White Tiger released its grip to dodge. The giant wolf seized the chance to pounce, pinning the tiger’s back with its forepaws and opening its maw to bite its neck.

With a furious roar, the White Tiger’s Holy Light flared, and it violently rolled over, throwing the giant wolf off.

The two great beasts tumbled on the ground, a chaotic mess of snapping jaws and raking claws. Holy Light and ethereal blue flames exploded where they clashed, and the aftershocks sent surrounding trees toppling.

Watching the two spiritual bodies rolling around on the ground, Yun Sheng suddenly lost the will to intervene.

’Fine, let them fight.’

’Let them beat each other to a pulp for all I care!’

’So what if they attract everyone else in the canyon? So what if Qi Yao and the others show up and see this...’

’I don’t care anymore!’

Yun Sheng plopped down on a nearby rock. Arms crossed, she watched the two separate brawls with a blank expression.

’They can fight however they want.’

’If one of them dies, that’s one less problem for me!’

Just then, something gently brushed against her calf.

Yun Sheng jumped, nearly leaping off the rock. Forcing herself to calm down, she quickly looked down.

At her feet sat an impossibly beautiful creature. Its blue-gray fur was fluffy and soft, looking warm and inviting to the touch.

When the little creature saw Yun Sheng looking down, it immediately nuzzled its furry head affectionately against her leg.

Its bright eyes stared up at her unblinkingly as it let out a soft, delicate whimper, as if trying to curry favor.

Yun Sheng froze.

"It’s you..."

Her face filled with astonishment as a memory from months ago flashed through her mind.

Back in the cheap housing of the slums, when Yun Dafu had shown up with Scarface and his men, she had run into this little creature during her frantic escape!

"What are you doing here?"

The little creature nuzzled her again. As if understanding her question, it turned to glance behind it.

Yun Sheng followed its gaze.

In the faint moonlight, a tall, slender figure slowly emerged from the darkness.

The man’s handsome face slowly came into view. Even in the dim light, his amber-gold eyes were unusually striking.

The astonishment in Yun Sheng’s eyes deepened; she never expected to run into him here.

With everything that had happened since she returned to Capital Star, their brief, hurried meeting had long since been pushed to the back of her mind.

’But why is he here?’

Yun Sheng’s nerves instantly tensed up.

’This is a restricted area, designated for Star Alliance field training. Outsiders can’t just come and go as they please.’

’Who is he? Why is he here? Is he also with the Star Alliance?’

She remembered clearly: with a single glance, he had instantly incapacitated Scarface and his two men.

’He must be a High-level Sentinel.’

’If he isn’t with the Star Alliance... is he dangerous?’

Yun Sheng watched him warily but said nothing.

The man seemed to read her mind but said nothing. Instead, he lifted his head to look at the two figures still locked in a frantic battle in the sky.

"To make the former Star Alliance War God and the current one fight like this, with no regard for their surroundings..."

His voice was low, laced with an unreadable, amused interest.

Then, his gaze slowly lowered, settling on Yun Sheng.

"I’m quite curious. What is it about you that drives them to this?"

Yun Sheng’s heart skipped a beat. Before she could react, the man was upon her.

He was astonishingly fast. She didn’t even see him move before an arm locked around her waist.

"You..."

Before Yun Sheng could get the word out, the arm around her waist tightened, and the surrounding scenery began to blur past them at incredible speed.

The man held her close, moving like a phantom streak through the dark night as he sped into the depths of the dense forest.
