Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy
Chapter 3935: Much Progress
Alex spent a lot of his time slowly cultivating while trying to learn the Dao of Radiance. That had been his biggest focus, while also trying to form a shell out of his Origin. The task of forming a Spirit wasn’t so easy that he could immediately do it.
Still, it wasn’t so difficult either that spending 3 years inside the formation platform couldn’t achieve it.
Alex formed the Spirit out of the most important Creation he was forming for this particular matter.
The Sun.
Inside of his Spiritual Sea, it appeared like a real sun, bright white and giving off a rather destructive heat and aura, capable of purging anything that came to it. And despite its destructiveness, there was a great amount of Life Aura as well.
Alex was fascinated by it, and still, it was only a shell and not the real thing. Though he was surprised that it looked closer to a Creation than a Spirit. Alex supposed that made sense since if you took just a part of the sun, it would still appear like the sun.
It wasn’t a plant Creation to create a simple flower as its shell, or a spear Creation to create the tip. For amorphous Creations with no real shape or parts, it was entirely a shell in and of itself.
The same would likely be true of a lot of Alex’s Creations, as most of them didn’t have a shape or a form. The only things with shape within him were the Nine Yang Divine Tree and the Dragon Father, both of which were forms of the Sun God.
The Yellow Fog, Heavenly Clouds, Void Gate, Sun, and even Godslayer’s Soul were all formless.
The Blank Canvas Pill was the only Creation Alex wasn’t actively certain what its shape would be like in the end.
As soon as the Sun Spirit formed, he poured his attention into learning the Dao of Radiance. And in no time after that, he successfully managed it as well.
The day he learned the Dao of Radiance, he was able to cultivate much more once again, pushing him closer to a breakthrough. He had been hoping to do so right then, but it appeared he needed some more time. At least, he was confident now that he didn’t need to convert the rest of his Origins into Spirits right away.
Upon learning the Dao of Radiance, Alex stopped his closed cultivation session again and returned his focus to learning his Dao Sword. He spent the majority of his time doing just this, while focusing a few months at a time on cultivating to break through.
The speed of the formation had dropped a bit in the last few years, now making it so that only 12 or so years passed for each year cultivated. Meaning, for every month Alex spent inside, he got about a year’s worth of time within it.
He used some of it to cultivate, and a majority of it to learn some other Daos or work on another Spirit.
2 years after learning the Dao of Radiance, Alex learned his Dao Sword as well.
It happened without anyone around him. Swiftslash sat somewhere to his left, which allowed Alex to simply work on his Dao Sword in a quiet environment.
Alex had been close for a long time, but he had still not fully managed to merge the two into a single one. He had come incredibly close to succeeding many times, but to no avail. However, out of nowhere, something inside of him clicked, making the Sword Qi that formed around him now contain the Dao of Yang Heat.
He had formed his first of many Dao Swords.
Alex compared the feeling to being akin to the eye puzzles where one needed to move the vision in their eyes individually to form a new, proper image out of the puzzle. It was difficult at first, as their eyes refused to stay stable at any part of the image.
However, as soon as the image formed, the eyes stabilized, no longer moving away.
Forming the Dao Sword felt quite similar to that as well. His Sword Heart was one vision, and his Dao was another. Getting the two to focus individually and come together in one spot took a lot of time. But the moment he succeeded, keeping it all there was no longer difficult at all.
Swiftslash congratulated him first before the message was relayed to Bladedance as well. She didn’t make a big showing of his achievement at all, but Alex could see his master was quite proud of him still. Even Sunflare joined in to congratulate him.
Dao Sword required a lot more Intent from him, so he couldn’t create as much Sword Qi at once as he could previously. But that would change over time as he improved his own cultivation base and as he trained with his Dao Sword more and more.
Alex trained for half a year with it, trying out different ways to use it. He even tried adding some other Daos to it, but while he understood the idea behind it, it turned out to be not so easy at all. As such, he had to push all of that back until after the duel.
Once done, Alex returned to cultivation once again, and not even a year later, he was finally able to reach a point where he could break through.
Alex grew excited at the thought of reaching the next realm and pushed himself forward while also pacing himself slowly. There was about to be a qualitative change to a portion of his Immortal Qi any time soon, turning it into Divine Qi, so he focused on that as well while slowly moving toward the breakthrough.
As he did, however, something he had neither expected nor prepared for happened without him truly understanding.
Right when he was about to break through, a voice spoke deep within him. A voice belonging to someone Alex was ever so intimately familiar with by now.
"Insolent mortal. Did you truly believe you could keep me sealed away with my own power?" the Sun God asked. "Prepare to face my wrath."
