Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy
Chapter 3883: The Water Daos
Over the rest of the year, Alex went through the same three Daos and kept learning them until he got close to fully understanding each one before moving on to the next. Then, once he was certain he had understood all he needed to simply learn the Dao, he stopped changing and followed through with the Dao of Refraction.
Heaven responded to his understanding of the new Dao, and the Worldly Laws appeared up above immediately. Several people outside were interested in the sudden change up above, but such things happened enough times in the Sky God’s palace that no one truly gave it much thought at all.
Sunflare, who sat in the same room as Alex, was the only one there who had realized it was Alex who had brought on the Worldly Laws. He was a little taken aback to find that Alex was even doing that at all.
As far as he was aware, Alex had to be cultivating to heal himself and break through. There had been a weakness about him before he started cultivating that told Sunflare that he needed to focus on that before anything else.
To see him try and learn a Dao instead made him wonder if Alex had healed already.
He tried to see what sort of Dao it was that Alex was learning, but upon realizing that it was some sort of Water Dao, he gave up. He didn’t know nearly enough about Water aura to even know what Dao this was. There would be no point in him finding out.
Alex continued learning the Dao for as long as he could before the Worldly Laws slowly descended upon him once he got close enough to learning the entire thing. At the same time, Alex took out a cultivation pill and ate it.
The moment the pill took effect, Alex started cultivating once again. One part of him still kept learning the aura, but he slowed down just enough so that the Worldly Laws would linger around him, allowing him to absorb all of the Energy that was brought along with them.
Alex was in the middle of a swirling set of auras that he absorbed at an intense rate. With the platform slowing down time for him, he could absorb a lot more from the Worldly Laws than if he had been cultivating without it.
The Energy that came with the Worldly Laws was so very potent that his body refined at a speed far faster than during all the cultivation sessions before. A single hour of this, even with the formation he sat upon, would’ve easily taken him over a week to cultivate.
It was nowhere near as good as when he learned his Axiom, where the Heavenly Principles allowed him to cultivate what was worth centuries in a matter of hours, but this was by no means a slow speed either. If he could keep the Worldly Laws around for more than 3 hours, that would be the equivalent of cultivating for 45 hours on the inside, which itself would be equivalent to cultivating for nearly a year.
The longer Alex could keep the Worldly Laws there, the better it would be. And considering how much he had prepared for it, he was bound to keep them with him for a lot longer.
Slowly, Alex cultivated while also learning more and more of the Dao of Refraction. The closer he got to fully learning it, the stronger the aura became. His speed of cultivation increased as well, becoming even better. An hour now would easily be close to 10 days.
That aura wouldn’t last for long, however, so he had to make the most out of this moment.
Alex cultivated for as long as he possibly could while keeping this aura. He managed to keep holding on for nearly 2 hours on the outside, or more than 30 hours on the inside.
Then, he learned the Dao of Refraction fully.
The moment he learned it, the Worldly Laws began to retreat slowly. However, at the same time, Alex began moving his thoughts through the Dao of Drying.
Immediately, the Worldly Laws responded and settled back down around him, waiting for him to learn the next Dao.
Alex took his sweet time with this one as well.
Sunflare was taken aback by the sudden change that had happened. His eyes narrowed, trying to determine what could have happened, but nothing he sensed gave him any idea as to what had caused the anomaly.
Had the young man before him nearly failed, causing the Worldly Laws to retreat, only for him to gain the proper understanding and bring them back?
He had no way of telling what the truth was since he had no way of sensing the difference between the various Water Daos.
The ones who could sense it were in the hall in the courtyard.
Hannah could tell exactly what Dao Alex had just learned and what he was moving on to learn as well.
"He’s learned the Dao of Refraction and is now trying to learn the Dao of Drying," she told the group.
"Is that it?" the older Alex asked, trying to sense the aura as well. In his current Immortal realm, his senses were a lot stronger as well. And with the vague sense of understanding that Alex had left behind in him from when their Souls went through resonance, he could nearly tell the difference between the two auras too.
Though it wasn’t as easy for him as it was for Hannah. He could’ve just thought they were different because he had heard it just now.
"I can barely tell the difference," the Immortal Emily said. She had a Water root and had learned the Dao of Water, so her understanding of the Daos that were currently showing up with the Worldly Laws was quite great.
"But what was up with them nearly leaving?" Helen asked with a frown. "And why is he trying to learn a Dao? Shouldn’t he be focusing on healing?"
That, unfortunately, was something no one in the room had any idea about.
They could only ask Alex once he was done.
