Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy
Chapter 3882: Another Method
Once the 2 years were over, Alex ran out of the resources he had. As such, he moved swiftly to using the incubating Sun Wraiths. These were beast cores that were contaminated by Sunhearts, which then turned the spirit inside the beast core into a wraith.
Any core from an Immortal beast formed an intelligent Sun Wraith. As such, Alex chose to use the ones he had made from the mindless beasts he killed back in Hell. A single such beast core gave him enough Energy to last several weeks at a time.
At the end of those weeks, Alex resorted to regular cultivation, which helped him pass an entire month with a single core. The speed didn’t drop whatsoever either, but with every month that passed for him, another Sunheart was being wasted.
That was another Sunheart that could have become a Blood Beast, one he could have added to his army. Instead, he was wasting it all here.
However, between Blood Essence and Blood Beasts, the choice was quite obvious for Alex.
After nearly 3 more years of cultivating and over 30 wasted Sunhearts, Alex recovered a single drop of Blood Essence.
Now, he had 2 drops of Blood Essence and was missing one more. With two drops of Blood Essence recovered, Alex’s recovery had improved considerably. Recovering the final drop of Blood Essence would be much faster.
Since that was the case, Alex stopped cultivating for a while to take his time and consider some other options to help with the lack of resources.
There were two methods that he hadn’t considered using until now.
One of them, at least, was an option that had come to his mind every once in a while, but whenever he thought about it, he immediately got rid of the idea. To him, it simply made no sense to be doing it this early.
That option was something he would only take when he was supremely desperate. At this moment, he was not that desperate. He still had another option, and though the requirements for it were quite high, if he succeeded, it would be quite worth it.
After some consideration, Alex took out a pill and stared at it for a long while.
The pill was Energy too, which he could consume and use to cultivate. However, what he would get from burning the pill would be a waste, considering what he could gain from eating it normally.
Alex could take the safe choice, or he could risk it and gain more. At this point, the riskier option was the safer one.
So, he ate the pill and slowly let it suffuse throughout his body.
The Grand Tranquility Pill was one that gave him a clear mind without any distractions, while still giving him enough agency to consider everything without dulling his senses.
Once he ate the pill and it began taking effect on his body, Alex brought out something from his Soul Space.
It was the shield made from the Flood Dragon’s scale.
No one had yet named the shield at all, though Alex hoped Hannah soon would. This was a shield he planned on giving her, but at the moment, it was with him.
And it was good that it was with him, since he had some great use for it.
Alex cared little for the fact that Sunflare could see this shield and become concerned about what it was. Alex did not have the luxury of worrying about it.
Instead, he focused his entire attention on the shield.
It did not matter that the shield was a treasure of great value.
It did not matter that the treasure was the first Primordial artifact made in a long time.
What mattered was the property it had.
Being made from the Flood Dragon’s scale and having most of its aura stripped away, what remained was now stronger. And that aura was what Alex needed at this very moment.
That was because Alex’s current plan was to focus his attention on the aura of Refraction currently within the shield and learn it.
During his time in the Red Heaven Realm, Alex had learned a lot of Daos, all of which were Water Daos. However, despite his incredible performance inside there, he had still failed to learn 3 Water Daos in total.
They were the Dao of Drying, the Dao of Cleansing, and finally, the Dao of Refraction.
While the shield held some aura of the other two, its main essence was the Dao of Refraction. That was what Alex intended to learn at this moment.
Thanks to the pill, Alex’s focus was entirely on the aura of the shield, which was easily the greatest source of Water aura for him to learn from.
Within hours, his mind returned to where it had been back in the Red Heaven Realm, learning about the aura with great care.
As days passed, he began gaining more and more understanding regarding it. By the time a month had passed, Alex had learned a lot about the Dao of Refraction. If he continued with it for even just another month, he would completely learn it.
However, as Alex got close, he stopped learning about the Dao of Refraction, completely switching his attention to the Dao of Cleansing.
The Dao of Cleansing was much harder to learn about because of the lack of aura within the shield.
Still, there was enough for him to gain knowledge from.
So, he continued with it for a little over 2 months before stopping when he got close to learning it.
Alex then moved his attention to the final Water Dao, the Dao of Drying, and began learning about it as well. He didn’t eat a pill for this one, so it ended up taking him nearly 5 months to get close enough to learning as much as he had with the other two.
Still, he learned more than enough and got close.
But once again, before he could learn it completely, Alex stopped.
Alex could feel it now.
He was close to doing it.
All that was left for him to do was go back to the Dao of Refraction and start over.
