Chapter 3581 Dualities
Chapter 3581 Dualities
Once Alex got permission to help both his daughter and his aunt regress their cultivation bases, he immediately created two more Second Chance Pills and handed them over one at a time.
Both times, the two women asked him for the technique as well, but as of right now, Alex couldn't give it to them.
"The technique can only be used once you've reached the Immortal Origin Realm, so until then it is pointless," Alex told them both.
Neither of them truly understood why Alex wouldn't immediately give the technique away to them, but Alex couldn't tell them much about it. He was about to do something that could entirely go wrong in the end, so if he did say something, he could end up lying to them, which he didn't want to do.
Once Alex reached his room afterward, he knew he seriously needed to start working on the issue.
"It will easily take them a century each to reach the Immortal Origin Realm, so I probably won't have to worry much, if at all," Alex thought. It had taken Scarlet herself quite a long time, and that was despite spending centuries inside her family's temporally speed-altered cultivation zones.
Alex had plans to complete his Origins or fully learn the Sun Fire now that he was so close to doing it, but the issue of his family regressing and many others growing to be able to use the technique had forced him to make this his priority.
Currently, Alex had the Provenance Duality: Division, which was a technique he formed by combining Provenance Duality: Replication and Provenance Duality: Transformation. It was the technique he used for himself, and it was what Pearl used as well.
There was a third technique as well, called Provenance Duality: Evolution. It was something that Shumi had used for herself, and after giving it to Alex, he had been able to get Scarlet and Whisker to learn it as well.
However, since they had learned it by directly applying that technique to the Origins that were created using the Division technique, they had complained about just how ridiculously painful their cultivation sessions were.
It was, after all, the same as mashing two techniques together with wanton disregard for how they matched and mismatched against each other.
As such, Alex wanted to change that.
For his mother, his daughter, and his aunt, he wanted to create a technique that would be far less burdensome than what Whisker and Scarlet had to go through.
And for that, he now wanted to combine the Evolution technique into the Division technique. He was certain that it would still be more painful than what the others had to go through, but so long as he lessened that pain as much as he could, he would be happy.
And, of course, there was the added benefit of it all being a single technique instead of two techniques they had to use one after another. It would save them so much cultivation time.
With that in mind, Alex returned to his room and began cultivating for some time. At the same time, he learned the Evolution technique as best as he could and understood everything he could from it.
To Alex's surprise, the technique worked very differently from what the other two techniques did.
In the case of the Replication technique, it caused the aura that formed the Origins to simply separate from each other such that they acted as two separate Origins rather than one. In this instance, the Origins were still inherently the same, so it was just the same Creation becoming multiple.
In the case of the Transformation technique, it manipulated the Origin such that it had two separate phases that went in and out of existence. This time around, the Origins weren't linked and were instead two separate Origins that just happened to occupy the same space. Those Origins would phase in and out, and when one was in existence, the other was not. By switching the phases, the person could transcend a single Origin with two Creations, ending up with basically two usable Creations in the end.
The Division technique mixed the two, making the Origin able to separate from each other, but the ones being separated were the Origins that were already out of phase.
The Evolution technique, however, was completely different from all of them. Instead of manipulating the Origin in some physical way, it manipulated the aura that formed the Origin itself. It made it so that the Origin acted more as storage for energy than what it normally was, and only a small portion of it was the actual Origin. To make sure the Creation that formed in the end was good enough, the Origin itself was many times larger than normal.
Then, during the process of transcending the Origin, while the smaller portion absorbed the aura of the Creation one wanted, the bigger storage directly connected to Heaven, absorbing an aura that was similar to what they were absorbing, but obviously better.
Since Heaven would be aware of such a thing, it made it possible for someone to absorb any simple aura to make their Creation, and then by using up the aura in the storage, they could overpower the Origin into acting as something else for the time being—a version of itself that was easily better than the actual thing.
That was the Evolution. And that was what Alex needed to add into his Division technique.
Things were, of course, not that simple, at least not from the perspective of someone who had to manipulate such incredible techniques, but as Alex began to learn more and more about it, he saw ways in which he could make it happen.
He could see right away that it was going to take him a while to complete it entirely, but as long as he could figure it out before the three women reached the Immortal Origin Realm, that would be acceptable.
So Alex both rushed and took his time with it so he could form this new technique.
