Chapter 3551 About The Trees
Chapter 3551 About The Trees
Alex was indeed rather intrigued by the prospect of having his talent tested. He was quite curious about how a person's talent was even determined to begin with, so he could maybe learn something there too.
As such, he nodded toward his master.
"If there is an opportunity, I would love to have it done," he said.
"Maybe later," the Sky God said. "There is still much I wish to discuss with the two of you, and it can't wait."
Bladedance nodded. "True. Should we talk about the Slayers then? You should really hear about this."
"I will, but first, I want to discuss the two trees," the Sky God said, turning toward Alex. "Yang Renye told me they had sprouted within your Soul Space, but beyond that he couldn't know more. Have they grown at all?"
"They've grown quite a bit, Your Majesty," Alex said. "While I can't say they have both matured, they are certainly at a stage where they could in a short time."
The Sky God was delighted to hear that. "Can I take a peek at them?"
Alex hesitated for a moment. While the Sky God may have known about the massive size of his Soul Space, she certainly had no way of learning about the land inside it. Not just that, there were other items inside his Soul Space that he didn't want to show her.
At least, not right away. He had only just met her, so even though he trusted her, he wasn't sure he trusted her that much.
Beyond that, there was also Ray's existence, which he didn't want to reveal to anyone who didn't need to know about it.
"The Azure Dragon scales are already about to be set up. Since they all use runes, what would she think about it?' he wondered.
He didn't have the faintest idea regarding her attitude toward anything demon-related. If she were to find out that Battlesage was a demon, how would she react?
There were several reasons not to allow her in.
At the same time, she was the Sky God. Not only was she a Half-God Celestial, she was also a master at manipulating space. She could likely find her way into his Soul Space if she so wished to.
In the end, perhaps the better option was to just allow her in. Maybe that would prevent any misunderstandings between the two of them.
"Wait a second!" Bladedance spoke right away, cutting into Alex's thoughts. "You can't do that."
She sounded quite aggressive in her refusal on his behalf. Alex wondered if he should just remain silent and let Bladedance deal with the situation herself. She cared about his secrets too, after all.
"You would just kill him if you did that."
Alex's thoughts came to a sudden halt. Was that what she was worried about? Not his secrets?
While it was true that a Celestial inside his Soul Space was most certainly dangerous, he already had his master in there, and as long as they reined in their Divine sense and aura, they could quite easily remain inside his Soul Space.
'Or does this have to do with her being a Half-God?' Alex wondered.
It was certainly true that he didn't know how a Half-God differed from a regular Celestial. They could be detrimental to his livelihood if he were to take them into his Soul Space. What if the Primordial energy caused major issues?
'But Shumi was just fine, he thought. 'As long as they don't force their aura, it should be more or less fine, right?'
That was what Alex had come to believe for the moment. Whether that was true or not was something he would have to find out in the
future.
"I'm not an idiot," the Sky God said with a strange look on her face. "I have no intention of destroying his Soul Space by forcing mine into his. I merely wanted to take a peek with my Divine sense." Only after the Sky God explained her intention did Alex remember something that, in hindsight, should have been in his mind all along. The Sky God's Soul Space was just as large as his, if not larger. With the Sky God's physique, she too could turn Space Stones into usable Soul Space, which was perhaps even better than his in how it
operated.
Only after realizing that did he understand why it was dangerous to take her in. It was not because she would learn too much, or that she was a Celestial, or even that she was a Half-God.
It was simply the fact that her Soul Space was bigger than his, and if he allowed her to enter, she could tear apart his Soul Space from the inside, completely destroying his spirit and most likely killing him.
Even the Undying God's physique would likely be unable to bring him back from that level of damage.
"Just a peek?" Bladedance asked, giving it some thought. "That should
be fine. Isn't that right?"
She turned toward Alex.
Alex quickly nodded. "As long as I am not hurt by it, that should be fine," he said. "But would I be able to handle your Divine sense,
senior?"
"Don't worry, I will be as weak as possible and not spread it too far," the Sky God said. Her senses were already upon Alex, waiting for his
permission to enter.
Alex didn't spend too much time thinking at that point. He agreed. "Please don't look at more than just a small area, Your Majesty, or you might kill me," he said, opening his Soul Space to her. "First of all, you
can check the status of the Nine Yang Divine Tree."
At the same time he gave her permission, Alex secretly had Ray prepare a barrier around the two trees so that Newheaven would have no way to sneak past them. Even if she tried to sneak a peek at the rest of his Soul Space, she wouldn't be able to.
"Do bear this momentary burden," the Sky God said. "I shall be quick."
