Chapter 3503: The Final Option

The group turned to Alex with curious looks, wondering what he had come up with.

Sadly, he didn’t have the time to explain. “Everyone except senior Bigshell, please leave right now.”

“What are you planning to do?” someone asked.

“I have my plans. Please, leave. Now.”

Alex pushed them away.

The Divinities hesitated for a moment, but one by one, they began to leave.

As soon as they were gone, Alex turned to Bigshell.

“The ship’s navigation. How does it work? Is there any chance we could redirect it somewhere?”

The man shook his head. “The navigation system was destroyed as soon as I placed the spatial coordinates for the Sacred Lotus Dominion. I don’t think there is any chance for us to change that.”

“Hmm… since it is so hard to do anything to the ship, I was thinking of changing the destination itself. But that seems quite difficult, huh?”

Alex had been thinking of distorting space, moving the ship in a different direction. However, no matter what he did to space, the relative direction would still be the same.

With how massive the realm was, his effort was likely not going to be of much use.

“I see. Well, then I’ll have to do something else,” he said. “You should leave too.”

“I can’t leave you. If we’re doing something, we’re doing it together,” the man said.

“My master could arrive at any moment. She will destroy the ship if she does,” Alex told him. “You need to leave.”

“Then you should come too.”

“I’ll be fine,” Alex said. “I can come back to life anyway. Here.”

Alex instantly cut off his arm and handed it over to the man. Whether it was for his own safety or just to appease the man’s worries, Alex himself didn’t know. But that seemed to do the trick.

“Alright. I’ll leave as well.”

Bigshell teleported out of the barrier and was quickly left behind as the ship continued forward.

Alex waited for a moment, wondering if his master would really come to stop it. However, given how far away they had teleported, she likely could not.

No teleportation talisman could allow them to travel such a distance as the ship’s inbuilt teleportation formation, and the ship was far too fast to catch up to.

In the first place, did his master even have anything of the sort? Her Soul Space had been emptied when she was thrown into Hell, so she had nothing. He wasn’t sure if she had bothered to gather items again in the meantime.

’If she were coming, she would have already arrived,’ Alex thought. ’I need to do this myself.’

Thinking as such, Alex quickly walked to the front of the ship, going through his options on what he could do.

The easiest option would have been to take the ship into his Soul Space. However, he couldn’t just take in an object of such strength when he hadn’t refined it at all.

It would certainly resist if he tried.

Even if it didn’t, there was a chance it would explode inside his Soul Space, which could be destructive enough to destroy his own soul. He could not take such a risk.

’Well, that leaves just one option then,’ Alex thought as he moved to the bow of the ship, staring at the rapidly growing landmass ahead of him.

As night fell on the land, Alex could only wonder how many people there were even aware of the catastrophe about to befall them.

He could hardly let this ruin their peace.

Alex teleported out of the ship, appearing in front of it. Instantly, he stepped onto the barrier, being pushed forward toward the realm ahead.

He watched the realm approach, now less than a minute away. Looking around, no one else was there. No one had expected this ship to bypass Bladedance and arrive here.

Everyone had been left far behind.

’It’s only me,’ Alex thought as he took a deep breath.

Midnight appeared in his hand as he prepared for his only remaining viable option.

His plan had been the same from the start. Since he couldn’t stop the ship or slow it down, he would change its destination.

His first choice had been to change the ship’s navigation, to likely throw it into the sun, but that wasn’t possible now. His second choice was to place it into his Soul Space where it could roam the vast emptiness within him. But due to the danger of an explosion within it, he chose another location.

A place that was omnipresent, yet one where the explosion wouldn’t harm anyone else.

The Void.

Alex filled his sword with all the power his barely recovered body could muster. He poured into it the strongest spatial Intent he had ever wielded, even stronger than when he escaped Hell.

And yet, Alex didn’t swing his sword.

He couldn’t. Not yet.

On his own, he was far too weak. At the very least, he needed to combine the attack with the power of his Dao. For that, he needed to be in the presence of Heaven.

And Heaven was still a short distance away.

Alex dispersed the Qi around him, his body now exposed to the emptiness of space. With the shadow of the realm, he wouldn’t burn under the sun.

A few moments passed, and he began to feel the friction against his body.

The time had come.

The space aura within his sword transformed into space Dao. Even then, he wasn’t certain he could accomplish what he intended.

He had to give it everything.

He closed his eyes for a second, his mind connecting with the emerging Heaven. He arrived in the empty white room, where time stood still.

Alex asked for one thing.

“Give me power.”

His eyes snapped open, his body surging with strength. The tiny amount of unique energy within him poured into his sword, granting him power far beyond his own capacity.

And then he swung his sword.
