Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3443: Issue

Chapter 3443: Issue

Alex sat patiently as the cool aura covered his entire body. Slowly, it penetrated him, a different experience from the usual heat of the Yang aura that he absorbed. As his soul was one with his body since Immortality, it began affecting it without having to reach his Spiritual sea.

However, there wasn’t much improvement.

’That was to be expected,’ Alex thought, slightly disappointed about it even though he had been prepared for it. Because he had long since entered the Immortal realm, the effect of the lotus wouldn’t be as big as he hoped.

Still, even though it wasn’t noticeable from it, Alex hoped that after having improved for the entire month, and then the 2 other sessions after it, he could at least improve enough to partially counteract the burden his soul had begun facing ever since he took so many of the Immortal and Divine grade plants into his Soul Space.

It had dropped his overall spiritual strength from Divine Creation 4th realm to 3rd realm, and any help in reversing that change would be welcomed.

So, Alex could do nothing but sit and let the lotus do its thing.

Or so he thought. However, merely 2 minutes later, the cool energy fully vanished, catching him off-guard.

“Hmm?” Alex opened his eyes, looking around him. His senses didn’t notice anything strange, but his eyes could see the lack of energy around the lotus.

’Did I absorb it all?’ he thought for a moment before throwing away that thought. ’No, the lotus took it all back. What happened?’

Just as he was confused, the lotus unfurled back open, revealing him to everyone that was present.

Slowly, he looked around at the shore where Bladedance, the Beast God, and the rest had their heads turned toward him. They had clearly not expected this to happen, so each one of them could simply stare at him in confusion.

“Why did you stop?” the Beast God asked after a moment’s passing.

“I didn’t,” Alex said, unable to hide his own confusion. “I’m still cultivating.”

The Beast God’s Divine sense moved past him and a frown emerged on her face as she could tell that he was telling the truth. He was still cultivating. So the fact that the lotus opened back up didn’t make sense to her.

“Did you do anything then?” the Beast God asked once again.

Alex shook his head.

Confused, the Beast God gestured for a few of the workers to go and check what had happened with the lotus. A few Divine realm cultivators flew up to Alex and pulled out some artifacts that they used to measure the energy within the lotus.

They relayed the information back to her on the shore.

“What’s going on? Don’t tell me he used up everything in just 2 minutes,” Bladedance said from the side. Truthfully, she wouldn’t even be surprised if he did. She knew her disciple could surprise her anywhere.

“No, he didn’t,” the Beast God said, the frown on her face deepening. “According to this, he barely even used it.”

“Hmm? Then why did it stop?” Bladedance asked.

“I’m not sure,” the Beast God said. “I’ve never had something like this happen before.”

She turned toward the staff working there and fell into some conversation with them.

Alex turned toward Bladedance, sharing the same look of confusion with her.

“Did you use your Half-God power or something?” she asked using her Divine Sense.

Alex shook his head. “I did nothing except what I was told. I simply cultivated. Do you think it could be my cultivation technique? It uses extreme Yang.”

Bladedance stretched her Divine sense into the lotus and slowly shook her head. “I don’t see any damage though. It stopped for no reason.”

Alex sensed the lotus himself and could hardly tell what was happening. As far as he could tell, it was perfectly healthy. So the only thing he figured was that the lotus had rejected him.

’Could it be because I have a God-grade body now?’ he wondered. That was the only thing that could separate him from a regular cultivator at this point.

“Can you leave for a bit?” the Beast God asked once she was done conversing with her group. “We will do a few tests. See if something has befallen the lotus.”

“Yes,” Alex said, and flew back out to the shore. He proposed the idea of his cultivation technique being the issue. The Beast God didn’t immediately ignore the possibility, but she didn’t believe that to be the case.

While they tested the lotus some more, the Beast God tested the Yang that Alex gathered while cultivating. After testing for a bit, she could exclude it from the possibility.

“It’s not destructive. It’s merely an extreme Qi,” she said. “Your Yang is not the issue.”

“I see,” Alex said. If that was not the case, then it was likely his new status.

Alex waited by the side for half an hour or so while they tested the flower and came back to report it to the Beast God.

After some thought, the Beast God turned toward Alex. “Can you try again?”

Alex nodded and flew back into the lotus. He began cultivating again, but this time he cultivated using the Undying God’s physique so that he drew in Yin aura instead of Yang. Just as before, the lotus enveloped him completely and the cool energy from before began penetrating his body.

But then, just a minute later, it stopped, and the lotus opened back up again.

’So my cultivation technique really wasn’t the issue,’ Alex thought. He flew back out to the shore and the Beast God summoned her people to do some more tests.

Not a single one of them could figure out what was wrong with the lotus. Every test they did made it appear perfectly healthy, so they could not find any answer.

Alex watched them try and fail to figure out the reason, so as his curiosity grew, he took it upon himself to find out.

Closing his eyes, he reached for Heaven, and soon he found himself back in the empty white space.
