Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3435: Lost Status

Chapter 3435: Lost Status

The Beast God had helped Alex enough by just not throwing him to the Storm God, that had she asked for it, he would’ve made all the pills her disciples wanted without taking anything back. However, it appeared that she had every intention of making them pay. So, Alex was getting paid back for everything in this instance.

Still, Alex made it so that he didn’t ask too much of the disciples. A regular pill was a few hundred Spirit Stones depending on its quality, and that would multiply a few times over, reaching thousands if it had Pill Veins.

Since it was so simple for him, Alex kept each pill at around a thousand Spirit Stones, regardless of the fact that it would all have 9 pill veins. None of the disciples complained, and soon the pill-making session was underway.

Alex made the pills in batches, starting with 30 different pills of the same type in each session. With the very first session, Alex called upon 30 different Pill Clouds, which all formed at the same time, resulting in a terrifying appearance outside the palace.

Dense black clouds covered the entire region around the palace, making one wonder if someone was starting their Immortal Tribulation right there.

The Beast God sat on the balcony, looking up at the sky. A look of pure astonishment flashed across her face as she understood what was happening. What was more astonishing was the fact that she knew enough about Alex to know that this wasn’t the result of him using his Half-God powers.

She had seen the final match between him and Aethersage back then. He was just that good an alchemist.

She feared no one else in his current generation could match him. In fact, even those above him were likely not as talented as him. The only thing holding Alex back was his cultivation base, so once he reached the Divine Realm, even without him being the Savior or the Destroyer, he would be a force to be reckoned with.

“You better hold on to your seat well, Whitesong. There is a challenger coming for it soon.”

Memory had 3 clones for now, each of which had 10 pills being made within her. She prepared to defend against the Pill Lightnings along with Alex, already using the defensive barrier around herself. Alex looked up at the clouds, feeling the strange connection to the Heavens amplify in that moment. It was almost as if the Heavens had descended halfway down.

Alex tried to connect to it and found himself slipping back into the empty white room, but nothing more came of the situation. Still, he could tell that something had changed.

Previously, it would’ve rejected him from forming the connection entirely, and yet now it allowed him access to this space. Shumi had talked about her experience and how the Heaven made way for her to take control of the clouds. This was nothing like that.

The Heaven hadn’t rejected him from accessing the Pill Clouds. Instead, it didn’t even consider him someone who could gain that access.

Alex understood in that moment that whatever status he had previously held as the Sun God was now gone. Having used up the final bits of the Sun God’s energy meant that the Heaven no longer considered him the Sun God in even the tiniest way.

Instead, he was now the Half-God, which dealt with the Heavens in an entirely different way.

Alex came out of the empty space, returning his attention back to the pills before him. He spread his energy around the 3 split Memories, helping block the 30 different pill lightnings, all of which struck down at the same time.

Despite their collective strength, however, they weren’t nearly strong enough to stop Alex.

While the understanding of his changed status sank into Alex, he continued blocking more of the lightning bolts, with Memory helping with some of them.

He wondered if there was a way to regain that status. Was there a way to become the Sun God?

Alex saw no way but one. He would have to unseal the Dragon Father, and he simply didn’t want to do that.

’Maybe I’m not meant to be the Sun God,’ Alex thought in the end. ’Maybe my purpose in life is different. Maybe I’m just here to help Shumi bring peace and stability back to the world.’

There was not much to it.

Once Alex finished making the pills, he pulled all 30 pills out and checked on them. He hadn’t made any mistakes, so all 30 pills now had 9 pill veins. In any normal shop, this would have easily gotten him close to, if not over, 300 thousand Spirit Stones, but since he was only selling them for 1,000 apiece, he would only get 30 thousand Spirit Stones.

But Alex didn’t think too much about that matter. To him, Spirit Stones had long since become irrelevant in most cases. Even in Hell, where Spirit Stones were the only way to gain Qi, he had other ways thanks to his bodies.

The only use Spirit Stones had nowadays was whenever he visited shops or auction houses, and he hadn’t done even that in a long time now.

The last auction house he remembered going to was with Silvermist, and that was over 350 years ago from his point of view. And it wasn’t even a memorable one since he didn’t really get anything from that auction.

Maybe he would visit another one in the future and make use of the Spirit Stones he had gathered until then, but for now, they would have to collect dust in his Soul Space.

Alex continued making pills, now increasing the amount to 50 pills at once. With Memory splitting into her 5 perfect copies, he could make 10 pills in each cauldron at once.

Because his Pill-Splitting Qi was only able to prepare 10 perfect pills, he had to stop at 10. Otherwise, Alex was sure that he could make even more pills easily.
