Chapter 3355 Dragon Scales
Chapter 3355 Dragon Scales
The first of the two remaining items was an ice-blue fan capable of creating a snow dragon that could attack and constrict cultivators up to a certain strength.
The item itself was a Divine-grade item, but it could also be used by an Immortal. When used by an Immortal, it could only harm one’s opponent and not bind them.
If a Divinity were to use it, however, it could constrict their opponents up to the Divine Domain realm. The weaker the user was, the faster the constriction would be undone, so it was most useful against opponents of similar strength.
“This one is made partly from dragon scales too,” Alex said, turning toward Pearl. “You can’t use it either.”
Pearl nodded and shrugged. “I wouldn’t have used a fan anyway,” he said. “It’s better for you anyway.”
Alex slowly nodded, putting away the fan as well and letting the other two look at it.
Finally, he pulled out the last item in the storage bag.
The last item was a large, heavy shield. Or so Alex had thought right up until he pulled it out. When he did, he realized that though it was circular in shape, it was no shield at all.
Instead, it was a massive metallic object that he almost immediately recognized as a dragon scale.
“Oh?” Alex couldn’t help but be surprised. “They gave us raw dragon scale.”
“That’s quite a large scale,” Pearl said, looking at its size. It was twice as large as Alex, nearly reaching the ceiling of this massive room. “I wasn’t aware dragons could get that large.”
Alex looked at the scale and couldn’t help but agree with Pearl. It was
quite massive. If he were to assign that scale to a dragon, it would end up being as large as, if not larger than, the entire palace here.
“That’s quite big,” he thought.
“Also, brother,” Pearl pointed out. “Don’t you think this scale is a bit too blue? It doesn’t look anything like the Winterborn Dragons’ scales.”
Alex paused, looking back at the scale. “Now that you mention it, it is indeed a bit too blue. Huh.”
Alex blinked, activating his Demon Eyes as he stared at the scale. Looking at it this way, it looked so much more blue that he nearly thought he was staring at an ocean.
Confused, he picked up the talisman that came with the scale, which contained its information, and read it.
“The Flood Dragon’s scales carry an intense Water aura. There are
only a handful of these scales available since the Primordial’s death, so please make good use of this.”
Alex stared at the scale with wider eyes than ever.
“This…”
Pearl grew curious. “What is it, brother?”
Alex handed over the talisman. When Pearl read it, his eyes went wide in shock as well.
“This is the scale of a Primordial?” he asked in surprise.
Alex nodded. “Appears so.” He still couldn’t believe that the Winterborn Dragons were willing to give him a piece of such a priceless treasure. A piece of a Primordial.
He could only imagine how much expectation they had placed upon him as the Sun God, and worse, he couldn’t even imagine what they would do should they find out that he wasn’t who they had been led to believe he was.
Alex gulped a little, unsure if he should just give it back. But they had given it to him without him asking, so it wouldn’t be right.
“What should we do with it, brother?” Pearl asked excitedly. He had not a single thought of giving it back. Looking at that, Alex decided to accept it and move on as well.
“I’m not sure. We need to first understand what properties the Flood Dragon’s scales can have and then try to do something with it. I imagine it will make for a nice shield, but we could try something else
too.”
Pearl nodded.
Scarlet and Whisker were equally surprised to find the Flood Dragon’s scale. Despite this not being the first part of a Primordial they had seen, they knew how incredible it was for someone else to gift it to
them.
The only other times they had been given one had been from a Primordial themselves, after all.
Ray confirmed that the scale did in fact belong to the Flood Dragon and also informed them of what it could be used for. Anything involving Water energy would heavily benefit from being made with the dragon scale.
More than that, the dragon scale also apparently acted very much like a metal, so it could be melted and reformed into anything. One didn’t
necessarily have to keep it in the shape it was.
“The only issue is that it isn’t so easy to transform the body of someone who has reached the realm of God,” Ray said.
“That’s fine,” Alex said. “I know a thing or two about working with the
body of a Primordial. The only issue I have is heat, but since you are here, there cannot be any fire hotter than that.”
“Regular fire alone won’t be enough, master,” Ray said. “You will need to understand how a Sun Fire affects an element, and that isn’t
possible until you understand Sun Fire.”
“I understand that. That’s why I’m not being so hasty regarding anything. I will first understand Sun Fire and work on making a few extraneous artifacts before I even think of working on a Primordial’s
body part.”
Ray finally accepted his answer.
Alex stashed away the items and ingredients, keeping it all for later. At the same time, he also began planning what he was going to do with both the Guardian Tiger’s arm and the Three-Eyed Crow’s body. It would be a waste to keep them as they were, after all.
After all of that, Alex finally decided to fully rest. He let Pearl return to his room and went back to being alone again. This time, he remained alone for nearly an entire day before he decided to go take a tour of the palace he was in.
