Chapter 3343 Merging Islands

Chapter 3343 Merging Islands

Alex began merging the separate spaces into one, merging the smaller ones first before moving toward the larger ones. The 80 separate spaces became 40 after a short while and 20 not long after that.

It became slightly more difficult once it reached 20, as the islands were now four times as large in general, requiring more of his spiritual sense to look everywhere.

The larger space also meant that when the two spaces merged, the rebound of them snapping into one was stronger, requiring Alex’s immediate attention, lest he let entire islands shatter from the force.

Once there were 20 or so remaining, Alex stopped merging them with each other and instead started merging them with the Demon Realm. For that, however, Alex needed to make sure everyone was out of his Soul Space for the moment.

Alex brought out the Playground first, letting the entire massive artifact lay on the main island at the center. The people inside there weren’t made aware of where they were, however, which Alex had every intention of continuing.

Then he brought out the rest.

The older Alex and Emily were already spending their time outside in order to get familiar with Daos and learn from them, so they needn’t be brought out. The ones that were brought out were Whisker, along with the Heavenly Silkworms.

And finally, Scarlet appeared out of the time chambers and arrived outside.

When Scarlet arrived outside, Alex couldn’t help but blink in surprise. He stared at her for a few long seconds, trying to discern if what he was seeing was correct or not.

Whisker was the same, standing on Alex’s shoulder, staring at Scarlet

with a curious look.

“Sister Scarlet?” he called out. “What happened to you?”

Scarlet gave a faint smile, looking down at her body. In her

magnificent phoenix body that was covered in red, yellow, and purple feathers, there were now streaks of black feathers that gave her quite the stark design.

There was no uniform pattern to the feathers, just randomness that looked coherent. But hardly anyone cared about that at the moment as they stared at her, unable to believe the changes.

“Is that because of the Midnight Phoenix’s beast core?” Shumi asked from the side with raised eyebrows.

“Yes,” Scarlet finally answered. “I finished absorbing the entire beast core. And the moment I was done, this appeared around my body. I can’t feel any actual changes, so it looks like it’s just my appearance that has changed.”

Alex couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. He turned toward Whisker. “What about you? Any changes?”

Whisker shrugged. “I’m still only halfway done with the Nine-Tailed Fox’s beast core. But I did start my second Creation.”

“Oh! How is it going?” Alex asked.

“I think it’s working,” Whisker said. “I can’t tell how it will work when it evolves, though.”

“Just the base Creation is good enough,” Alex said. “Well, now that you are all out, let me finish merging the islands.”

Alex couldn’t bring the plants inside out, though, so he would just have to hope nothing bad happened to them. He planned on taking the most care with these merges, so he could only hope he didn’t fail.

Alex slowly dragged one of the islands with the poison forest toward the Demon Realm until they came into contact. Despite being merged with four different islands, that island wasn’t as big as the Demon

Realm at all.

The Demon Realm was, on average, five times larger than the regular islands, so only five of those islands in total could measure up to it.

Once the two separate spaces came into contact, he used Spatial Release, causing the two spaces to snap open and merge, forming a single space.

At the same time, Alex grabbed hold of the land inside, quickly making sure that their orientation was right and that they didn’t strike the Demon Realm.

Once he understood that the space had safely merged and the islands weren’t in any danger of each other, he moved the poison island around the Demon Realm until it was right next to the World Tree. Adding land next to the World Tree would hopefully keep it safe from the future merges should there be an issue.

Alex moved on to the next merge, making it happen safely. Once it was done, he moved that section toward the Nine Yang Divine Tree, protecting that side of the Demon Realm.

Once those two trees were safe, he could start merging the rest of the islands much more safely.

As Alex began to merge the islands one after another, he noticed a change in the Demon Realm that wasn’t immediately apparent. His senses told him something was wrong, but nothing he could sense told him what it was.

He tried to figure it out all on his own, but his senses were surprisingly not good enough for this task.

“Whisker, can you go inside? I need to check what has changed in the Demon Realm.”

Whisker nodded and quickly went back inside. He had no need to fear death, so he could remain there and help him with looking after the merging too, should there be a need for that.

As soon as Whisker arrived, what Alex’s senses couldn’t tell him, Whisker’s whiskers did. Whisker’s face twitched a little as he sensed

the changes.

“The aura in the island outside is available here too,” he quickly said.

“It’s weak, but it’s the same aura.”

“The aura?” Alex narrowed his eyes for a moment. “You mean the one

that Ray uses? The Primordial’s aura?”

“Yes,” Whisker said. “And on top of that…”

He stopped for a moment, moving away from where he was. “It’s weaker than before for some reason,” he said, not bothering to explain

what ‘it’ was.

Alex waited for Whisker to find what he was searching for. Half a minute later, Whisker was standing atop the third mountain in the Demon Realm, where he quickly dove into the mountain,

disappearing.

As he dove down, Alex sensed and saw everything that Whisker did.

Just as Whisker found out the truth, Alex did as well.

“The Spirit vein is dead.”
