Chapter 3100 Another Fight

Pearl continued walking for a couple of hours before the sky turned a shade of purple and the sun began to sink toward the horizon. In that time, he met five other beasts, of which four were in human form.

The first two he met were much weaker than Pearl, at a lower Immortal Origin realm, and decided to stay away from him. With Pearl not pressing the issue, those beasts got to leave easily.

The third one was much stronger, who decided not to fight with Pearl and ignored him as well.

The fourth one he met was the one in its beast form, and from the looks of it, wounded. The beast was clearly trying to find a place to hide away and recuperate, so Pearl didn’t start fighting. There would be no point.

It was an hour after that one when he met his next opponent, a woman with gray hair tied in a neat braid. Her cultivation base was slightly higher than Pearl’s, making him assume she was going to ignore him as well.

He saw something next to where she stood-a corpse. The woman’s hands were bloody, as if she had just come out of a fight.

Pearl decided not to fight her, on account of her just having gone through a fight. However, this wouldn’t be his choice to make.

“You! Come, fight me.”

The woman’s words were simple and clear.

Pearl felt the artifact on his chest buzz and knew he really only had the option to run away or fight. And he had no intention of running away. He brought out his spear and readied himself.

The woman said nothing else and moved. Her body turned into a white blur, moving toward Pearl. A visible aura formed around her body, barely taking any shape before she arrived next to Pearl.

Pearl felt something from her that he hadn’t felt in a long time-a true killing intent. The woman was no simple fighter. She fought to kill.

Pearl poured his Qi into his spear and stabbed forward. The two attacks clashed together, sending both of them flying backward. Pearl felt his arms tingle a little from the backlash, surprised that the woman was much stronger than he realized.

Despite her higher cultivation base, he should have had a stronger impact given his higher Battle Power. The fact that they were close to each other in strength meant that the woman should have a respectable Battle Power as well.

They had close to the same level of strength in the end.

The woman couldn’t help but give a curious glance, realizing the battle wasn’t going to be so simple. She stretched out her arms on both sides, sweeping them forward.

Two giant wings appeared on her body, illusionary from the looks of it, that followed the motions of her arms. Bright white feathers drifted out of the attack, flying toward Pearl.

Pearl pulled back his spear, power coursing through it. His arms turned into a blur as he stabbed the spear nearly 200 times in a single instant.

Two hundred different spears made of Qi appeared before him, nearly shattering the space as they flew toward the woman. The amount of spears outnumbered the feathers, destroying them all, while some reached the woman.

The woman haphazardly backed away, dodging some of the spears while using a defensive technique to protect herself against the others. Scratches covered her arms as she slowly pulled them down, a look of anger appearing on her face.

Pearl raised an eyebrow in surprise. His attack hadn’t hurt her beyond

just a few scratches? That was surprising.

He tightened his grip on the spear, filling it with his Qi before slamming the spear’s butt on the ground, the energy within it uproariously erupting into the sky.

In the sky, the energy split itself into many different spears, raining down upon the woman as a volley.

The woman acted instantly, bringing out something from her Soul Space-a talisman.

She threw the talisman into the air before her, activating it. The talisman went up in flames as it was activated, turning into a long barrier that protected a strip of the sky above the woman, leading all the way to Pearl.

The moment the barrier appeared, she moved instantly, letting the energy within her flow around her. The aura slowly took shape as she moved. She had a longer duration for it to take a proper shape.

Pearl saw a white crane appear around the woman’s body, most likely a bloodline technique.

For a moment, Pearl thought of using another spear technique, but the woman was much too fast for him to finish activating his

technique. Instead, the world around him shrank almost instantly, the space growing narrower for his vision only.

Pearl took one step to the left, arriving nearly a dozen meters away

from where he had previously stood.

The woman arrived at Pearl’s original location, only to find it

completely absent. She turned around at the last moment, moving toward Pearl, but he was already beginning to add his Qi into his

spear.

The spear roared with power, his Qi forming a vortex around its body, spinning with an overwhelming might.

The woman realized what was happening and changed her direction instantly, intending to dodge the next attack. However, Pearl wasn’t going to let her. The world shrank again, and the woman was right before Pearl, just one attack away.

Pearl stabbed forward, and the attack reached the woman before she could even know it. The twisting energy slammed into her turned back, blasting a hole in her back. She was thrust forward, slamming into a few trees before coming to a halt.

Pearl relaxed a little and glanced at his victim. She was profusely

bleeding, but with a few pills, she would be fine. Letting her live was mercy enough in his opinion, so he considered the fight over and left.
