Chapter 2985: Ways to Gain the Bloodline

Chapter 2985: Ways to Gain the Bloodline

The White Tiger Patriarch didn’t give up. “Surely there is something that can still be done,” he said. “Even if someone is not willing to give him their blood, what about a Creation?”

The Azure Dragon Patriarch nodded slightly. “I suppose that could be done. If the youngster wants to form a Creation, I won’t be stopping him.”

“What do you think, Pearl?” the White Tiger Patriarch asked.

Pearl looked up, somewhat lost in his own thoughts, not completely in the moment. It took him a while to realize what he was asked, at which point he turned toward Bai Jingshen for some help.

“That is not something Pearl can decide right now, Patriarch,” Bai Jingshen said. “He will need some time. And it’s better to consider other methods before jumping to Creations.”

“That is true,” the White Tiger Patriarch said.

“No, no. But if he wants to keep his heritage, it will be good to get a Creation,” the Azure Dragon Patriarch said. “We can even check and see if someone is willing to hand him a beast core belonging to one of the deceased Azure Dragons so he can have their powers in essence.”

“That might be difficult, Patriarch,” Qing Zhangru said from the side. “Each core belongs to someone’s precious family member. I cannot imagine anyone willingly handing over one to—forgive me for my blunt words—a nobody.”

The Azure Dragon Patriarch seemed a little irked with what Zhangru said, but he nodded along anyway since that was the truth.

“Well, I suppose that is true. Consider the options anyway,” the Azure Dragon Patriarch said. “I think that does it with the matter regarding the youngsters. Zhangru, have our guests be shown to their rooms. I have further things to discuss with Patriarch Zhuqiang.”

“Yes, Patriarch.”

Zhangru got off his seat and respectfully gestured for Pearl and the others to walk along with him. They left the room, walking past the guards and the other two White Tigers who were waiting outside.

“The Patriarch is still inside. He will leave in a bit,” Bai Jingshen told them as he walked past them.

They walked out past the same hall with giant sculptures and arrived back at the winding staircase and continued climbing above.

They walked up until they reached another giant gate, this time marked “Second Talon Gate,” and walked through. There were several servants and guards along the way, as well as a few Azure Dragons that the group saw.

A few stopped to greet them, but none said more than a few words in greeting.

They finally arrived at one of the rooms prepared for them and Zhangru showed them in. The room was as intricate as one could imagine, perhaps better than what most Azure Dragons got to stay in.

It was covered in expensive furniture, art, and engravings of all sorts. The emerald and silver designs were overall an impressive look throughout the entire room.

“You will be staying here during your stay. There will be guards and servants posted outside at all moments in case you need something,” Zhangru said. “Have a good stay.”

“Senior Zhangru,” Bai Jingshen spoke up before the beast left.

Zhangru turned around. “Are you about to say something to try and antagonize me again?” he asked.

Bai Jingshen chuckled a little. “Nothing of the sort. I just wish to ask if it is truly not possible to get some of the Azure Dragons’ blood for Pearl. I don’t think anyone will give all of it to him, but what about a few dozen Azure Dragons pitching in a little?”

Zhangru paused for a moment, not to think, but instead in pure astonishment that Bai Jingshen would even suggest such a thing.

“Do the White Tigers do that?” Zhangru asked. “Because we Azure Dragons are very proud of our bloodline and will not want to waste it.”

“We are proud too,” Bai Jingshen said. “But even pride has a price. I do not expect the other Azure Dragons to give up their blood for no reason, but what about in exchange for something else?”

Zhangru snickered in a mocking tone. “What can you give us Azure Dragons that we do not have the means to gain ourselves?” he asked.

Bai Jingshen shrugged. “I don’t have an answer to that just yet. I was merely proposing some ideas. If they are willing to sell some of their blood in exchange for something valuable, would they do it?”

“I would not,” Zhangru said. “And I speak for all Azure Dragons when I say that they will not either. No matter what you bring, their pride in their bloodline won’t let them sell their blood to you.”

Bai Jingshen nodded slowly. “I assumed as much. But let us say they did and my descendant managed to gather what he needs. Will he then be given a chance to use the ancestral bloodline pool to evolve?”

Zhangru’s brows raised in surprise. “For someone with such a weak bloodline, going into the pool is suicide. I suggest you get rid of that idea,” he said.

“Is that a no?” Bai Jingshen asked.

“No, it’s a warning. We do not stop anyone from doing what they want, but we do suggest they not do something that is so obviously going to lead them to their death,” Zhangru said.

He turned toward Pearl next. “You are not so young that you can’t think for yourself anymore. Try not to fall for this one’s words. Think of the danger you will get yourself in if you do this. That is all that I can say to you.”

Pearl listened to his words and nodded. “I thank you for your advice, Senior.”

Zhangru could tell that the young one wasn’t planning on listening to him, so all he could do was sigh. New ᴏᴠʟ ᴄhapters are published on NoveIꜰire.net

“If that is all, then I will leave.”

The three bowed as the Azure Dragon walked out of the door. Once they were the only ones left, Alex turned toward Bai Jingshen with a weird look on his face.

“Have you managed to come up with something, Brother Shen?”
