Chapter 2958: Remaking a Pill
Chapter 2958: Remaking a Pill
Battlesage came to meet Alex when he was ready. He couldn’t waste any more time, so Alex let him go into his Soul Space. There, together with Whisker, he would start learning as much as he could about the runes and scripts used in the cultivation chambers, which he could hopefully replicate later on a different zone they would plan.
“Whisker, can you give me one of the pills you have?” Alex asked. “The one I made for you.”
Whisker took out the pill bottle that contained said pills and gave it to Alex.
Alex brought the pills out and started studying it. The pill was quite fascinating to Alex. It was similar to the other pill he had made after copying the Fain Immortal Peach Lily, but somehow slightly better.
There was something fascinating about seeing a pill that he knew he made but had no idea how he did it. So, he had decided to learn what he could with it.
Alex could very easily just copy the aura of this pill and pour it into a Blank Canvas pill, but he wanted to make it from scratch. If he did so, maybe he would find a way to improve the energy within the pill so that Whisker could somehow split his Origin once more to have 4 in total.
Since he had already moved on so fast, the chance that it could be done was not as high. And yet, he still had to try.
Alex studied the pill, dissecting the aura within it until he was left with nothing but fragments of aura that could only be put together in a certain order.
He closed his eyes, looking through not just each element of the energy but also further within it to learn what was underneath it. With his Dao of Seven Elemental Interaction, this was far easier than anyone could ever imagine it to be.
Alex began listing out possible ingredients one after another, piling up names after names in his mind. Not all of those could be true, however, so he quickly tossed out ones that did not fit either the sub-categories of the various energies of the pill he was making, or simply did not have enough energy for what was needed.
He did it until he was left with no more than 3 different possible ingredients for each category. Then, he whittled it down even further after extensively going through each ingredient and its combination with other ingredients, until he was left with 18 different names of what could only be the correct list.
He more or less had the ordering of the ingredients right, so now it was just a matter of turning it into a recipe.
That task was the easiest of all, which Alex completed in a few hours. When he was done, he decided to make it and see if he had ended up truly making the same pill or not.
He went through the pile of ingredients floating around in the void of his Soul Space and found what he needed. There were plenty of ingredients there, ready for him to make use of them.
Alex quickly brought out the ingredients as well as Memory and began heating up the cauldron.
“What pill are we making this time, master?” Memory asked in an inquisitive tone, like a child ready to play a game.
“It has no name yet,” Alex said. “So we’ll see.”
Alex placed the first ingredient in there and quickly processed it per his new recipe. Then he placed the second one and the third.
The recipe had a lot of ingredients given the amount of energy within it not only to help one improve their cultivation, but also to help improve their Origin. It had enough to help with two.
As Alex continued, he sensed the energy within the cauldron, making sure at all points that he was on the right path, that the energy within the cauldron was following what he had envisioned it would be.
He had made his way through 8 ingredients when Memory suddenly spoke up.
“Oh, it’s this pill. Do we need more?” she asked.
Alex nearly stumbled through his control upon hearing that, but he quickly calmed himself and kept his control over the ingredients and the energy.
“You’re aware of this pill?” he asked her.
“Of course,” Memory said. “You spent so long trying to perfect the recipe after all.”
“I…” Alex paused as he thought of something. “Wait, you remember when I made this pill?”
“Of course,” Memory said. “Why wouldn’t I?”
“You… no, let me make this pill first. We’ll talk afterward,” Alex said, and put all of his focus on the pill. He quickly processed the remaining 9 ingredients, forming the pill.
As he did it, the pill clouds began to form. He quickly called for the Pill Clouds to be localized. His Ritual Oath made it so that the clouds formed only inside his room and nowhere else, making it so that no one else would ever learn about him making this pill.
Thick dark clouds appeared above him in the ceiling, crackling with lightning.
Alex wondered for just a moment as to how many pill veins he could get when he remembered that he no longer had to worry about that.
His strength in both body and blood was now above the Immortal realm. As such, he could protect the pill from all 9 lightning bolts with relative ease.
He had experienced this already, but had likely forgotten about it.
As the lightning bolts began striking down from the cloud, Alex placed his palm above the cauldron to withstand the lightning bolts.
One after another, the lightning bolts fell onto the cauldron, landing on his palm. With each strike, the lightning bolts became stronger and stronger. And with each failed lightning bolt, the energy flew into the cauldron, forming pill veins.
When all 9 lightning bolts had finished striking down, and the energy from within it had formed into 9 pill veins, the cloud began to disappear.
As it did, Alex looked up at the ceiling with a curious thought.
Tribulation lightning didn’t make for a good Creation, but what about Pill Lightning?
