Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2868: Improvements

Chapter 2868: Improvements

As Alex sent his senses through his body, he noticed the other changes.

His meridians had become slightly firmer, allowing him to transfer more Qi through them with no more burden to them. This meant part of the improvement he would have to make in order to break through to the next cultivation realm was now done.

Similarly, his blood aura had also somewhat improved.

Alex had always known that beasts in Hell had such strong Blood Aura thanks to Elixir, but had never managed to replicate such a change with his own body. Elixir had never helped him in any way.

Now it seemed that he needed something more.

Instead of Elixir, it was this fruit that improved Blood Aura for him.

But of course, his blood was far too strong for this change to be anything more than just barely noticeable. But that only meant he would have to consume more of the fruit.

He wondered if he would even need to consume blood aura from elsewhere now that he had this.

Aside from blood, there was one more place where he had started feeling some change, albeit not much had improved for him to say with confidence that the fruit could help there.

Alex’s Spiritual Roots were showing some changes in response to the fruit as well.

His Yang, Yin, and Metal roots had always been as perfect as they could be, but the other four roots had improvements that could be made.

To Alex’s surprise, the fruit was affecting them, possibly improving them even. He would have to eat more to be certain that the fruit had done exactly what he imagined it did.

Alex ate more of the fruit, feeling the warmth in his body improving different aspects of his body. As the fruit was blessed to improve a person’s body, it was no surprise that the fruit had done what it had.

It still hadn’t fully settled on him that he was consuming the fruit of a mature Demonic tree. It wasn’t a Divine Devil fruit, or a Spirit Cleansing Lily, or a World Defying Mushroom.

It was the fruit of the Tree of Life.

The single thought made Alex gulp at his own luck. It was hard to believe he really was eating this.

Alex ate the fruit for some time before he had to stop.

“Ughh…” he grunted, feeling something he hadn’t felt in a long time.

Bloated.

“What’s… going on?” he asked slowly. “I…”

His stomach felt full. “I thought it was all getting digested without issue,” he said. He checked his stomach, but it really was empty. But it gave the feeling of being stuffed, bloated.

He couldn’t find it in him to eat a single other fruit.

“I thought I could keep on eating,” Alex said with a pained expression. “It appears I’ll have to put a stop to that for now.”

He brought out a few more chunks of the fruit and threw them toward Whisker. “You should eat them for now. Do a few at a time or you might be full quickly too. I hope this feeling goes away soon.”

Alex brought out an infected beast core and began cultivating. He made full use of his newly improved body, finding himself needing not much before the next breakthrough.

At his current pace of both cultivating and eating the fruit, the next breakthrough would most likely come in less than 5 years. Considering he hadn’t had the chance to properly cultivate once he broke through just a couple of years ago, this was astoundingly impressive.

Alex’s guess turned out to be true as the feeling in his stomach disappeared after a couple of hours of cultivation. He wasn’t exactly sure if the cultivation had anything to do with it, but time most certainly had.

He couldn’t help but wonder if the fruit deliberately made one feel bloated in order to keep them from eating everything.

’This fruit would be for the demons in the past,’ Alex thought. ’That was the reason why the Moon Goddess blessed those 3 trees, so she must’ve made it so that the fruit had to be shared.’

Thinking as much, he slowly realized that he now had in him the same thing that demons did. He wondered, had he become a demon himself?

Questioning as much, Alex pulled a bit of his blood and sent it to his Soul Space for the Playground to analyze.

A few minutes later, the Playground came back with results.

“I’ve done what you have asked, master, and you’re correct. Your blood does have properties of a Demon. Quite a lot, in fact,” the artifact spirit said.

“Oh? In what ways?” Alex asked.

“It’s like that blood you provided me some time ago,” the Playground said. “The one I said had a single property of a demon? Yours has that too now, along with a faint amount of something else too. I haven’t tested your blood in a long time, but this is definitely a new addition.”

“Property of a demon?” Alex asked, slowly realizing what the Playground was talking about. “OH! Elixir. That’s what you were talking about with Bladedance.”

“I’m not sure what this Elixir is, master,” the Playground said.

“You should’ve seen it. Pearl and the others eat it here from time to time,” Alex said. “Anyway, any other changes?”

“None that I can tell. Everything that has changed is just an improvement, instead of being an addition. Only those two demon properties were an addition this time.”

“I see. Well, I expected more, but I guess I shouldn’t have. I will leave then.”

Alex pulled his sense out of the Soul Space and continued cultivating leisurely. As he did, he felt his empty stomach again and decided to eat some more fruit.

As he ate, he wondered just how much more the single giant fruit was going to improve him by.

As Alex ate more, he found out that he had asked the wrong question.

He shouldn’t have asked how much it was going to improve, but rather, what else.

As it appeared, the fruit wasn’t fully done improving everything.
