Chapter 2217: Reveleations 4

"I... don't really know what to say..." Benladann sighed.
"It's fine," Chris said. "You don't have to say anything, girl... I'm just happy you're here, happy, with a husband and children... your father would be so happy..."
"I know..." Benladann sighed once more, smiling lightly. "I wish I could meet him..."
"..." Jake looked at Benladann, his usually expressionless face slowly becoming more and more emotional. "You're... you're my sister then?"
"Eh?" Benladann looked back at him again. "A-Am I?"
"Father..." Jake said. "Father made me... he made me to... to protect... you..."
"What?" Benladann was shocked.
Lucia and Chris even more, Jake was finally talking more and more.
It felt like who they knew before was nothing but a mask he wore to hide his true identity.
"I... don't remember well my true... my true mission..." Jake muttered. "But... I remember... I remember I came... from that lab... your... the one you... came from."
"You did?" Benladann asked, shocked.
"Yes..." Jake nodded. "Father... he made me out of his blood... a perfected strand of Uroboros... I carry it... for you."
"...?!" Benladann's eyes widened, as she realized Jake's hands transformed.
His white skin turned into red flesh, and sharp bone claws grew, alongside eyes popping out of it.
"Woah!" Drake was taken aback. "Huh, so this is why he's capable of fighting alongside you guys?"
"Yeah..." Chris sighed. "To think that's why you have such powers, Jake... You're Ivan's son? To be honest, I was always kind of suspicious, you look identical to him when he was younger..."
"But how and when did he have a son?" Lucia asked. "No, wait..."
"He said he was made out of Ivan's blood..." Alma said. "To think that time he told us to create another clone using that... no way, so that's you?! But before I died, you were a little thing... and if what they said its true, then I only died a month ago? For you it has been that long? But for us it has been years..."
"Jake, you're a month old?" Drake asked.
"I don't know..." Jake said. "I only know... that father wanted me to protect my sister... I have finally found you, through time and space... I thought I was alone but... sister..."
Jake started crying out of nowhere, shocking his companions even more.
His monstrous hand turned back to normal, as the young man covered his face in shame, as he didn't want them to see him crying.
"..."
Benladann was moved, even now, a piece of her father was right there, in front of her.
A "son" cloned out of his own DNA, and which also carried a perfected strand of Uroboros, not the evil one that Ivan had.
An innocent Uroboros, that had yet to be corrupted by the world, which could still grow and change...
A new future, a completely new chapter.
Benladann stood up, walking towards him and smiling.
"I might be a little too big... I'm no longer a human but..." Benladann quickly lowered her torso and hugged her brother. "I'm glad that you're here... Jake."
"A-Ahh..." Jake's lips trembled, as he started crying even more. "Uuhhh... sister..."
Despite looking like a young man on his seventeens, Jake was much younger, only a month old.
His growth was astonishingly fast, and he had even learned how to speak very quickly too.
But in the end, deep down, he was still a child.
An abandoned child, that woke up in a world ridden by zombies and horrors, fighting for his life, trying to find his family.
"Well, I'll be damned..." Chris sighed, glancing the emotional scene, and once more crying a few tears. "Why is it raining so much today?"
"It's not raining today, Chris..." Lucia smiled, patting his shoulders. "All of this has a meaning... I know it. The Girl with Sailor Uniform must have known this would happen, somehow..."
"What does this all mean then?" Drake asked. "Are you implying that my wife and her newfound brother are some kind of chess pieces in something greater? I just can't... believe it."
"I know it's hard to believe," Lucia said. "But I can't think of anything else other than that hypothesis... Perhaps not just right now, but I am sure that they will play an important role in the near future... to save both worlds now interconnected."
"..." Alma remained in silence, glancing at Benladann and Jake hugging, and smiling lightly. "Good for them..."
"Very well," Andromeda nodded. "I suppose that things have finally been cleared! Shall we speak about what we must do now? I know we should take all the time we want but... we honestly cannot, each second that passes only worsens the spatial cracks. We have to solve that problem quickly, dear."
"I know," Drake nodded, finishing his cup of wine. "Chris, Lucia, you should stay here for now with Jake, we'll solve this quickly and-"
"No, definitely not," Lucia said. "We're coming with you."
"Yeah, we were going to tell you," Chris nodded. "This is not a problem that we should just leave to people from another world... the zombies, that world, or whatever remains of its fragments... it's also our responsibility."
"Yeah..." Jake said, as Benladann patted his head. "I want to help too..."
"Well, I suppose we could be able to deal with he threats from that world with their help," Andromeda nodded. "I agree, we should bring them along."
"You think so?" Drake wondered. "I guess there's no helping it... Fine. But you have to be careful. First we should bless them to increase their overall stats."
"I agree," Benladann nodded, patting her little brother's head. "There you go, Jake."
"Eh?" Jake's eyes shone bright blue, as an aura of blue and purple color surged from his body.
Divine power quickly permeated him fully, strengthening him, and also the power dwelling within him even further.
"Oooh... Sister, this is... your power?" Jake asked. "What is this?"
"A divine blessing, we are technically divine beings, gods or something," Benladann shrugged. "But not really? I don't know how to explain it."
