Chapter 151: Yandere
What I told Viviana were my honest feelings on the matter. I never really liked attention, so having many people come look for me for whatever reason was just troublesome.
Viviana’s sharp eyes flickered with keen interest at my last statement. "Gathering members for your Sovereign Deck, you say? May I assume you intend to utilize your deck to represent humanity’s interest in the upcoming inter-realm games?"
I chuckled, gesturing with my thumb toward the crimson-haired beauty standing beside me. "Not quite," I grinned, looking directly at Viviana. "I’m planning to marry Yoona, so my Sovereign Deck will be acting as the official representative force for the Rothschild family."
Silence.
The declaration landed like a sudden shockwave across the landing platform.
Chancellor Viviana froze mid-breath. Her clear blue eyes widened in genuine, speechless astonishment as she looked between me and the Student Council President.
"Is... is this true, President Yoona?" Viviana asked, her usual unshakable composure completely cracking.
Yoona offered a radiant, breathtakingly elegant smile. Without a second of hesitation, she stepped up to my side, wrapping her manicured hands comfortably around my right arm and leaning her shoulder against mine.
"It is entirely true, Chancellor," Yoona confirmed smoothly, her voice rich with absolute certainty. "Seth and I are officially engaged. Our families have already finalized the alliance, and his Sovereign Deck will be merging with our family’s standing."
Before Viviana could even process the political weight of the Rothschild heir marrying the holder of Origin, Yerin immediately darted around my back!
SWOOSH.
Yerin grabbed my left arm, hugging it tightly against her chest, and shot the Chancellor a bold, beaming grin. "And don’t forget about me! I’m in this relationship too! Seth is marrying both of us."
Chancellor Viviana stared at the three of us.
The woman who commanded the most prestigious academy on Earth, who had faced down high-tier threats and managed thousands of elite noble students, sat there completely speechless. Her gaze darted from Yoona holding my right arm, to Yerin clinging to my left arm, to my relaxed, unbothered expression in the middle.
For three long seconds, it was obvious she had about fifty different questions, comments, and high-society lectures fighting to escape her throat.
Ultimately, Viviana took a long, deep breath, forcefully suppressing every comment. She cleared her throat, rapidly pivoting the conversation away from my harem arrangements to preserve her sanity.
"Right... well," Viviana spoke, her tone turning brisk and strictly professional. "Regarding the ambush outside our perimeter... the Academy takes full responsibility for the security lapse. I will personally oversee the internal investigation regarding how those stealth jets bypassed our outer arrays. Avalon Academy will issue a formal, written apology to the Fernando and Rothschild families, along with substantial material compensation for the distress caused to your party."
Hearing her offer compensation, I raised my hand to speak up. "Honestly, Chancellor, compensation isn’t really necessary—"
Before I could finish my sentence, Yoona’s fingers subtly pinched the inside of my elbow through my jacket sleeve, giving my arm a sharp tug.
I immediately shut my mouth, looking sideways at Yoona. She didn’t look at me, but her gentle smile silently communicated a very clear high-society rule: Never turn down free institutional resources from an academy that just failed to protect you.
Noticing my sudden silence, Viviana gave a firm, stern nod. "Furthermore... I will personally authorize a full-scale purge against the Tartarus Vanguard. We will track down their operational bases, locate whoever issued this contract, and erase them completely. No faction attacks students under Avalon’s protection and lives to boast about it."
had a sudden, hilarious urge to point out that Devil Queen Lucifer had literally just threatened to flatten her entire island two minutes ago and walked away laughing, but I wisely kept my mouth shut.
Viviana stepped back, her posture returning to its usual serene, oceanic grace.
"I am glad you have arrived safely, Seth Fernando," Viviana said warmly. "Take the evening to familiarize yourself with the campus, settle into your quarters, and prepare for your classes tomorrow. Work hard."
SPLASH.
Without another word, Chancellor Viviana’s body suddenly dissolved into a pristine, glowing puddle of clear water right before our eyes. The water collapsed onto the marble floor and evaporated into thin air within two seconds, leaving zero trace behind.
Seeing their leader depart, the surrounding officers of the Disciplinary Department gave us brief, formal nods before turning on their heels and swiftly retreating toward the castle spire.
I let out a low, genuine chuckle, looking at the dry spot where the Chancellor had been standing a moment ago. "Well... I’ve got to admit, that was a pretty dramatic exit. Talk about a warm welcome."
Yoona released my arm, offering an amused smile. "Chancellor Viviana is a Master of the Oceanic Laws, Seth. She rarely walks anywhere when she can simply travel through the island’s water veins."
As we began walking toward the edge of the sky-dock toward the main campus entrance, I noticed Val was slightly lagging behind us. She was holding her black encrypted smartphone, her manicured thumbs rapidly typing commands across a glowing dark interface.
I slowed my pace, falling back to walk beside her. "Hey, Val... are you handling something with the security team?"
Val didn’t look up from her screen immediately. She finished tapping a final, complex authorization code, sending an encrypted signal across the global shadow network, before sliding the phone smoothly back into her inner suit pocket.
She turned her head, looking at me. The stoic, professional bodyguard mask she usually wore was subtly cracked, replaced by a dark, intensely sharp glint in her violet eyes.
"I am currently coordinating with the Fernando family’s shadow intelligence network, Seth," Val explained, her voice dropping into a low, terrifyingly calm frequency. "I have just issued an absolute, top-tier termination order across all international channels. Every single operative, base, and asset affiliated with the Tartarus Vanguard is being hunted down as we speak."
She took a step closer to my side, her eyes softening slightly as she looked at my face, though the dark aura around her remained deadly sharp.
"If my primary duty were not to remain by your side as your head of security.." Val murmured, a faint, slightly unhinged smile touching her lips, "...I would have personally flown to their main stronghold this very instant."
She tilted her head, her tone carrying a quiet, terrifyingly sweet cadence that sent a subtle shiver down my spine. "I would have dragged every single one of those mercenaries into the shadow realm, tortured them until their souls shattered, and ended their lives in ways that would make them beg for a simple death. And that exact same fate..."
Val reached out, gently smoothing down the collar of my jacket with immense tenderness, her violet eyes shining with deep, fierce, and unshakable devotion.
"...awaits anyone else in this world who dares to lay a hand on my husband."
