Chapter 702: The Risks Of Going To Hy-Brasil

Chapter 702: The Risks Of Going To Hy-Brasil

"This is the life..." Alex sighed happily.

His head rested on Evangeline’s lap, while his feet were being massaged by Lulu, who thought of it as her punishment for playing a prank on Alex earlier.

On the other hand, Latifa sat on the chair across them, sipping the tea Lotte had brewed just for her. She couldn’t help but sigh in her heart because her boyfriend was too carefree, not minding one bit about the worries in her heart.

As for Lumi, she was very tempted to pinch Alex’s cheek to wipe that smug smile on his face. However, since Evangeline could become rather scary when it came to Alex’s comfort, the fox lady decided that this was not the time to create conflict with her sisters.

"So, did you treat Lavinia well?" Evangeline, who had also become Alex’s woman, asked with a smile.

"Yes," Alex replied. "I treated her very well."

Latifa, Lotte, and Lumi blushed slightly at that. They knew very well that Alex’s words were an understatement of how "well" he treated Lavinia during their love making.

Deep inside, the three fox ladies were very curious as to what it would feel like to have the same thing done to them.

But since they planned to keep their secret of peeping on Alex and Lavinia’s lovemaking to the grave, none of them dared to voice this out loud.

"Good." Evangeline nodded. ’Then, this just leaves Latifa and Fran.’

She didn’t speak the last words out loud, only thinking of them internally.

The vampire lady was aware of the condition that Latifa’s mother had given Alex in exchange for her blessing and approval.

A part of her was amused because Latifa, who was very much in love with Alex, was forced to wait until the tournament was over.

Unlike the fox lady, Evangeline had complete faith in her lover. She believed that Alex would win the singing competition without fail, which would finally allow him to obtain the blessing of Latifa’s mother.

Then again, she had yet to hear Alex’s singing voice. But since he was the Singing King, it must be the voice of an angel, right?

Evangeline was actually looking forward to the tournament. In fact, she even bought a very expensive recording crystal to record the event.

If she only knew how talented her boyfriend was, she might have reconsidered her life choices then and there.

"Alex, let’s talk about the place you mentioned. The one you suggested we head to after the tournament ends," Evangeline said. "Are you sure we are going to Hy-Brasil?"

Evangeline may not know about all the mysterious places in the continent, but she liked mysteries very much.

Hy-Brasil was an island rumored to appear once every seven years.

It was a place very few people had seen, with even fewer managing to leave the island to tell their tale.

No one knew why it appeared and disappeared like a fleeting cloud.

The only thing known about it was that it was hidden in a veil of fog that could not easily be navigated from outside, trapping those who were unlucky enough to step foot on that mysterious land.

And soon, they would also be headed there.

It would be an understatement to say that Evangeline didn’t feel anxious.

She still felt a bit uneasy. But, as long as she was with Alex, she wouldn’t mind being trapped inside Hy-Brasil.

That was how much she loved him, and Alex knew this very much.

However, Alex had no intention of being trapped inside the mysterious island. In his eyes, he was going there to accomplish his two goals no matter what. One, finish the trial. Two, help Lapiz and Aeris reunite with their mother.

Even if Lapiz didn’t become his lover, he would still do his best. He simply wanted her to live a happy life with her family. That was the least he could do for her.

"Yes, we are going to Hy-Brasil," Alex replied firmly.

"Aren’t you scared?" Latifa asked. "Many say that those who step into Hy-Brasil can’t leave it easily."

"I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t scared," Alex answered. "But since I’m not going there alone, I believe we can overcome the challenges together."

"What if we get trapped there, though?" Latifa asked as she lowered her cup on the table in front of her. "What will we do then?"

"Then... how about we build a family in Hy-Brasil?" Alex replied in a teasing tone.

"I’d love that!" Lulu commented. "We’ll create a big family with the kids numbering in the dozens!"

Alex and Latifa wondered if Lulu truly meant what she said. Usually, Latifa’s Third Alter mixed lies and truth together, making it impossible to know if she was being serious or not.

Even Latifa had no idea what Lulu was thinking most of the time. She even wondered if there really was a part of her that represented Lulu’s mischievous and mysterious side.

"Don’t worry, Alex," Evangeline said. "If you want to have a big family, then I’ll make it happen."

Her devotion made Alex feel very happy because he knew that Evangeline wasn’t lying.

She was the type of girl who did whatever would benefit him, regardless if it was the right or wrong thing to do.

"I have a concern," Lotte suddenly spoke, making everyone look in her direction. "You are bringing Lapiz and Aeris with us, right?

"Will it not be a diplomatic issue if they were also trapped inside Hy-Brasil? Wouldn’t it be better if we just looked for their mother ourselves and let them wait for our return?"

The young lady’s words made sense. If something were to happen to Lapiz and Aeris, the relationship between the Kingdom of Faelarun and the Kingdom of Avalon would become complicated.

In fact, Alex even told the elven princesses that they shouldn’t tell their father about their plan to go to Hy-Brasil.

If the current King of the Elves mobilized their army and charged toward Hy-Brasil with Alex, things might blow up out of proportion and create variables he couldn’t foresee.

There was a high chance that they would really be trapped inside Hy-Brasil if that were to happen, so he hoped that both elven princesses wouldn’t break his trust.

While Evangeline, Latifa, and her Alters had their own opinions about going to Hy-Brasil, another important talk was being held at the Royal Palace.

Lapiz, Aeris, Prince Kaelen, and their father, King Aerandir, were having brunch together, discussing the upcoming Inter-Academy Tournament.

Aeris was still having second thoughts on whether she should tell her father about Hy-Brasil or not.

Alex had warned her that if she told her father that he knew where to find Hy-Brasil, their deal would break off immediately.

Faced with that kind of threat, she didn’t know what to do. After all, it concerned her mother’s safety.

In the end, she decided to trust Alex once.

If there really was a way for their family to be complete again, then she would take the risk and go to Hy-Brasil with him.

Even if it meant that there was a chance that she wouldn’t be able to return to the outside world ever again.
