Chapter 666: A Love That Refused To Fade [Part 2]
Evangeline felt her heart overflowing with happiness.
Each touch, each kiss, each whispered word Alex gave her made her love him even more than she did before.
He was so gentle, and she could tell that he was taking his time to make her feel good.
They had already done many things together, usually right after their blood drinking session in the library.
Whenever she sank her fangs into his neck, Alex would confess that his body would heat up, making him think of naughty thoughts that he wished to do to her.
Little did Alex know that his confession would spark the start of Evangeline’s own wish to know more about him in a physical way.
And now, their wishes had gone full circle.
Both knew that the moment they took this step, the walls that they had built up around their hearts would crumble.
But they didn’t care.
Not tonight.
Not when everything they had been waiting for was finally right in front of them.
The moment they became one, Evangeline’s hands gripped the bedsheets. It was not as painful as she imagined, but the pain was still there.
A tear even fell from her eye, though not because she couldn’t handle the pain. Instead, it was because of how happy she felt.
After all, her wish had finally been granted, and she was now together with the person she had loved for many years.
Alex stayed inside of her, like a sword that had found its sheath. He reached out to wipe the tears in her eyes, knowing that she had given him something very precious to him.
“Is it very painful?” Alex asked with worry.
“No.” Evangeline smiled through her tears. “I love you, Alex.”
“I love you too,” Alex replied, kissing her once more.
Then, he made love to her. A love that she had been waiting for her whole life.
And in that fleeting stretch of time, the world outside ceased to exist, leaving only the warmth that they shared, as well as the promise that this was only the beginning of their love that would stand the test of time.
When it all ended, Alex held Evangeline tightly, not wanting to let her go.
She did the same, and soon, the two fell asleep in each other’s arms.
When morning came, Alex found his head resting on something soft and warm. He was still half asleep, so he instinctively sucked on the small, sweet cherry right in front of his face then nibbled it.
Though the moment he did that, the body right next to him trembled. This movement jolted Alex fully awake.
It made him remember who he was.
Where he was.
And who the owner of that little cherry that he had just tried to eat was.
“Good morning, Alex,” Evangeline said, her tone half amused and half guilty because she had been awake for quite some time.
She had even guided Alex’s face to her bosom, which was why he instinctively reacted that way after opening his eyes.
“G-Good morning, Eva,” Alex replied. “Did I hurt you just now?”
“No.” Evangeline shook her head before playfully pulling Alex’s face towards her chest. “I’m not as fragile as you think. Also, I now belong to you, so please don’t hold back.”
Since she had given him permission, Alex decided to accept. However, this led to them spending another hour in bed.
Even though it was Evangeline’s first time, she was not a fragile lady.
She even bit Alex’s neck to drink his blood at the right moment, making him release so much that he began to think his soul was about to leave his body.
Fortunately, that didn’t happen. Nevertheless, it made him feel so drained that they decided to stop at that moment.
The two reluctantly left the bed after that, and bathed together.
After being drained by Evangeline of his essence and blood, Alex was starving.
He ordered twice as much food as he usually had for breakfast, while Evangeline only had a sandwich and a coffee.
She was already sated both romantically and physically, so she didn’t need any more nourishment, at least for the time being.
Evangeline even looked apologetic toward Alex because she might have drained Alex too much. In fact, his legs were shaking so much earlier that she had to support him as they headed to the bathroom together.
Fortunately, he had some stamina potions in his storage ring, so he was able to recover enough strength to go down the stairs to eat something.
When breakfast ended, Alex finally felt alive again.
He did make a mental note that he should be prepared whenever he and Eva decide to spend the night together.
At the end of the day, she was still a vampire. Her urge to drink his blood could overpower her senses whenever she was at the height of pleasure.
But Alex had no regrets.
He wouldn’t have changed a thing if he were given the chance to do it again.
Alex had also given Evangeline a gift, which made the young lady blush after seeing the red nightdress that was given to her.
She promised to wear it “next time”, which made Alex decide to stock up on stamina potions. Nessia world surely concoct as much as he needed as long as he paid the right price.
He wouldn’t even care even if she stared at him weirdly for ordering a hundred bottles of it!
In fact, the one who told him that Nessia made stamina potions was Charles.
This was when Chuck had asked Charles if he knew where he could buy stamina potions because the exchange center was currently out of stock.
Since he was a friend, Charles didn’t hesitate to tell him that Nessia made them as well. Though, that was when the troublemaker pressed Charles for answers, specifically if he used the stamina potions for *ahem*, to which Charles didn’t reply.
However, the blush on his face was enough to confirm Chuck’s suspicion.
Since it was the weekend, Alex and Evangeline took their sweet time before returning to the academy.
Enjoying this happy moment as they walked while holding each other’s hands.
A promise had been made between them.
A promise born from Evangline’s love that refused to fade, even when she thought she had lost Alex forever many years ago.
