Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 943 943: The Human Sovereigns Ascend

Urek’s successful breakthrough greatly stimulated Berk and Gibson too. However, they didn’t rush ahead or force anything.

Living for so long, they knew well enough to avoid traps like that. Being envious of Urek’s success and being anxious about being left behind won’t end up well for them.

There was really no need to rush. Neither Nick, Pat, or Urek was rushing them either. Humanity has no enemies as of now; there are no threats either. In fact, Urek’s breakthrough was pure happenstance. Even he didn’t rush anything, and he made it, so why should they?

This made them calm down a lot. And soon, they returned to their usual routine, helping with the colonization efforts in ways they can without overtaking the work of others or discrediting them.

As for Urek, he had a short break. He adjusted to his current state, which took longer that he initially expected since the feeling of reaching the peak was truly divine.

The sense of freedom and omnipotency overwhelmed him a bit. He never thought that he was so restricted before breaking those shackles. He never felt freedom this good before, so it took a while for him to adjust.

Once he came down from the high, though, it was back to his usual routine.

No. Just because he broke through the Primal Origin Lifeform Realm doesn’t mean that he could be laid back and not contribute. Well, technically, he could, but he doesn’t want to.

However, that doesn’t mean that he will do everything either. His help will still be little things at a time. Like others, he wouldn’t get in the way of the teams and the crew they enlisted to colonize both chaos realms.

Actually, Urek could just as easily drape layers of mirage covers to protect both the Crimson Womb and Black Pegasus Chaos Realm. With his Mirage Laws taken to the Origin Law level, his illusions could turn into something real with but a mere thought from him.

He could make it so that, if any creatures from foreign chaos realms ever fly too close to any of human territories, they would only see what Urek wanted them to see. A falsehood, a cover-up story, something that would convince them that nothing was wrong and would compel them against investigating any further.

Urek could easily do all of this and more, but he didn’t.

Why? Because doing that would further trivialize the existence of the Space Marines.

The Space Marines are already as idle as they are now, so draping mirage layers all over the chaos realms would further prevent them from discovering enemies that would stimulate their formation. In the end, doing so would force the space marines to disband, and that’s not something that Urek wanted to do.

Sure, the Space Marines are almost inane at this point since humanity no longer considers anything an enemy. Even if, somehow, creatures from foreign chaos realms happen to stumble over and discover humanity’s colonization efforts, so what? Were humans afraid of them? No. Far from it.

In fact, let them come! The Space Marines will be more than happy to see them come!

The important part is that, even as idle as they are, Space Marines can’t be disbanded. Not now, at least. Even though they’re only stationed for mere formality at this point, the symbol they represent puts people at ease. That alone was more than enough to justify the pay they’re receiving even though they spent most of their time in idleness.

As for any further plans for them moving forward, that’s to be discussed, probably after both chaos realms are colonized. So, right now, they have to remain in place.

**

Time moved forward as is.

About 250 years later, after Urek made his breakthrough, Berk also made his. Then, after another 250 years, Gibson also made his own breakthrough.

Which means that about 500 years after Urek joined Nick’s and Pat’s ranks, the other two also followed.

This meant that now, the human sovereigns have all made it. All five of them became primal origin lifeforms, truly becoming humanity’s pillars, enjoying eternal life and prosperity.

With the five of them reaching this level, humanity was no longer afraid of anything. Even if their supreme will expresses its opinions, the five of them could afford to ignore it if it doesn’t conform to their wills.

Humanity could be bolder, especially with five of them around. To say that humans have truly become the prime sovereign race of the primitive universe wouldn’t be wrong or an exaggeration either.

After all, what race could boldly say that they have five Primal Origin Lifeforms guarding them? Nobody, that’s what. Hell, with those five as the foundation, humans could start claiming the entire Primitive Universe as their own. Because seriously, who would or could stop them?

And this is them not knowing that there’s even a bigger person behind them.

That person was, obviously, none other than Cedric himself!

Sure, he’s not a Primal Origin Lifeform yet, but even if all five human sovereigns combined their might to fight against him, he could easily slap them to death with one hand folded behind his back.

This isn’t an exaggeration; it’s merely a simple but cold and hard truth. After all, Cedric now commands 70 Origin Laws at his whims.

Even with just his Origin Sword Laws alone, Cedric could put up a decent fight against them. If he used more than one? He’s more than enough to handle all five of them. If he uses five? They’re dead. Plain and simple.

Moreover, his mastery over origin laws was more profound than theirs even if he was using the same origin laws that they learned. Why? It’s because of his profound discovery that all origin laws were connected.

Cedric knows origin laws more intimately than all five of them combined. It’s for this very reason that it’s getting easier and easier for him to comprehend origin laws that he’s yet to fully unlock and gain the acknowledgement of.

Compared to the five human sovereigns who are very linear and only understood a single piece of a whole, Cedric saw that same whole and strived to comprehend its entirety.

That’s why they’d never be able to defeat him.

But that’s not the goal, was it? Cedric never had conflicts with them, so this fight will never happen. Even if he does, was Cedric afraid of them? No. He could easily deal with them just as easily as they could deal with those beneath them. The best part is that they’d never understand the true depths of Cedric’s abilities.

Anyway…

The colonization effort had entered its final phase.

The third phase will be a very long one, because its goal was to completely populate both chaos realms.

All necessary foundations for humanity to live and thrive in both chaos realms were already built, created, and placed. That work was done quite some time ago. Now is the time to start using those foundations to build something tall and something that will last for a long while.

The council pulled through with their promises. Those who did a good job and stayed faithful to their work were given priority and privileges.

Clans that were promised to be migrated and promised to be bestowed with rich land and space were given exactly what was agreed upon. Many people got promoted, a lot of people migrated to either of the chaos realms, and humanity’s population began swelling to an absurd degree since they have two more chaos realms to fill out.

The transport between Heavenly Star and the other two chaos realms had been simplified at this point. All three chaos realms are now strongly connected to each other thanks to the work of the human sovereigns.

Of course, this connection was still being improved over time, but with humanity’s eagerness and creativity, it wouldn’t take long before the transport methods were perfected.

Due to this connection and the sudden massive influx of new resources and lands to explore, humanity’s prosperity increased greatly.

Many things were being discovered thanks to the new resources discovered on other chaos realms; many development paths were opened, there were tons of improvements everywhere, and communities were rising.

The human sovereigns all watched this from a distance, growing content and satisfied with the explosive growth of their race.

At this point, they no longer need to be too occupied in watching over the operations. By now, the systems they placed have become self-sufficient. They could operate without them and will be just fine.

As such, the Human Sovereigns found themselves starting to turn idle.

There’s really nothing else for them to do at this point. Everything that must be done has already been done.

Now, they’re debating if they should shift their attention to the remaining two chaos realms that are not under humanity’s hold or if they should call it quits while they’re ahead and revisit this idea later.

Well, whatever it is that they decided to, it should be fine. Humans are way too ahead now anyway, and time was already on their side.

As for Cedric, well, he’s keeping himself patient. After all, he’s only 29 Origin Laws away from his goal.
