Chapter 931 931: Title Here
—
Hundreds of years passed by quickly in Cedric’s seclusion, and the primitive universe kept moving forward…
Stepping out of his seclusion chambers, the first thing he did was to scan his immediate surroundings.
He sensed nothing much was different, which was what he expected all along. He’d be surprised if it did since he specifically told his men that, unless the sector domain was falling apart, they were not to disturb him in the middle of his seclusion.
Of course, if such an event ever truly happened, Cedric would know immediately. His people wouldn’t need to disturb him at all; he’d appear before they ever had the need to call him out.
But yes, nothing was wrong in his immediate environment. It’s the same as usual. And this also applies for his territory.
This doesn’t mean that his people and his territory stagnated while he’s away. That’s one thing he’d never allow. No, of course, they didn’t. Things kept moving forward for the sector domain. It remains as prosperous, lively, rich, and relative as always.
There were new infrastructures and such that were built during his seclusion, creating newness and difference to the territory. But the overall feel and prosperity of the territory remain the same; that’s what was important to him.
Cedric could easily enter seclusion for a longer period of time because of how he designed the command center of his territory.
He built this idea step by step, making sure that, even without him, everybody will be fine. He made sure that his territory could function on its own and could be self-sufficient.
Cedric hardly takes care of stuff nowadays. He also defeated that blasted paperwork. Even if they appeared, they wouldn’t create too much of a pile on his desk. And with how efficient Cedric was, he could finish them within hours at most, and he’d be free for quite sometime before he had to deal with them again.
Besides, he had another clone to take care of that for him. His real body hasn’t appeared before other people, except his own family, of course, for quite some time now.
He could do his job remotely thanks to his clone, which was incredibly convenient.
After making sure that everything else was the same and that there was nothing that required his immediate concern, Cedric leisurely extended his sensory field.
Soon, it covered the entire Heavenly Star Chaos Realm. Hell, it even exceeded that, easily reaching the Crimson Womb and Black Pegasus Chaos Realms as well to see how those places were doing.
“Oh? They sure work fast!” Cedric exclaimed softly as he studied the changes that happened to those chaos realms that were being colonized.
It’s been about a little bit over 700 years since the colonization of those two chaos realms began, and the teams that were sent to work on those areas sure worked their magic a little too well and fast, because from what he can tell, they’re at the final preparations to end the first phase of this colonization.
Soon, very soon, these two chaos realms will be ready for the first batch of migration and colonists.
“Roughly 300 years ahead of schedule! Nice.” His eyes sparkled as he stroked the beard that had grown quite thick on his face.
Speaking of which, he shaved those off with a snap of his fingers, leaving his face smooth and looking as if he never had it in the first place. After doing such a mundane thing, he stepped forward and appeared right above the center of his territory.
His sensory field was still extended very far. And even though both Nick and Pat were still attentive towards both of those chaos realms, they did not feel his spying efforts at all, evident in their lack of reaction.
This was normal, as Cedric had grown far too strong, completely beyond their comprehension.
A few hundred years ago, he would still be wary, but now…there’s really no need at all. They wouldn’t sense his presence and machinations even if they tried.
Especially since he already comprehended 30 out 99 Origin Laws. He’s grown way beyond their comprehension at this point.
Continuing to survey the world, he could also tell that, because they’re ahead of schedule, gathering those who would be willing to migrate became a little complicated.
“They’re still trying to keep this under the wraps? Hmm.”
Cedric couldn’t really say if he agrees with that. Well, at first, yes, he agreed that it’s better to keep the colonization efforts a secret from the public.
After all, what if something went wrong during the colonization effort? What if some catastrophic accident happened? What if they went public then? Wouldn’t that cause a lot of trouble and problems?
That’s why he agreed that during the initial phase, it’s better to keep this a secret.
But now that they’ve come this far, Cedric truly doesn’t know if it’s still a good idea to prevent the public from knowing this.
Well, he understood the reason behind the secrecy. The Human Council was trying to be careful, yes. And that’s admirable. Being cautious with important stuff like this was almost never a mistake.
But on the other hand, there are just some things that people deserve to know, especially coming from their own government.
Keeping something this huge and valuable for so long will make people doubtful and distrustful.
This was two whole new chaos realms, for crying out loud! Two massive places where there’s plenty of space and promise for a new or better life!
By preventing this public from knowing this, it’s like the council was saying that they’re turning these places into their own yards, that it’s only exclusive to them, and that the common people have no say in it.
It doesn’t matter how sophisticated they were at their words. The voices of billions of people would easily drown out theirs, and the rest would follow after that.
People would protest; some would even directly trespass in those areas to claim land. There would be too much chaos, problems, and headaches.
Sure, their sheer might of Nicholas and Patricia could quell that, but if they did that, what’s the difference between them and tyrants? They would be crossing a line they could never return from.
And it will all only spiral downwards from that.
“They must have a plan at least. Surely they don’t think that this is the way to go?” Cedric sure doesn’t sound confident in his conjectures.
Nicholas and Patricia were surprisingly indifferent about this. He had no idea if what he thought about crossed their minds as well, but their inactivity sure seemed like they were saying that everything’s under control.
“Oh, well…not my circus.” Cedric shrugged.
Whether the Human Council had other plans in mind or not, Cedric truly couldn’t bring himself to care too much.
He already did his part; the rest was up to them. So long as he and his privacy aren’t implicated by anything that’s happening, it’s all the same for him.
Instead of worrying about this, Cedric disappeared from where he was previously and arrived at his ancestral home.
There he found his wives, Erica, Chrissy, and Isabella.
His ladies haven’t aged a day. They all still looked as youthful, radiant, and beautiful as they did the day he met them. Of course, now, they have that unmistakably dignified and matured aura; their experiences and motherhood tempered their minds a lot, including the sheer length of how long they’ve lived at this point.
Aside from that, nothing much has changed. Even though Cedric often goes on long seclusions, he’d return to them waiting for him, still as patient, as calm, and as passionate as ever.
They have their own hobbies now, and naturally, they’ve grown stronger too. In fact, they’re so incredibly pampered that they also have access to the Origin Law Tablets that Cedric copied from his lucky opportunity.
And even though none of them have been recognized by any Origin Law just yet, they’re making decent progress towards it.
The same goes for his sons, who’re ancestors on their own at this point.
The Stormrider Clan had grown so much that it’s more than a family at this point; it’s no less than an imperial dynasty of life evolvers.
Stormrider blood is everywhere in the Rising Sun Sector Domain. Some of them are even scattered across the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm, searching for their own opportunities and further expanding the family’s influence.
Everyone that had the Stormrider blood was destined for greatness. Varying levels of greatness, sure, but greatness nonetheless. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that every Stormrider was bound to be successful throughout their lives, and that’s why the clan was flourishing.
And even though Cedric had grown tired and indifferent how large and absurd his family had become. He’s still incredibly proud of them.
Sure, he couldn’t be bothered to memorize the names of everybody at this point, especially those who married out of the surname, but he’s still proud of them.
Even throughout the entirety of the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm, no clan could definitely say that they’re as prosperous and as successful as the Stormrider Clan of today.indifferent to
