Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 407: Star King Adminstration Headquaters
BOOM!
The attack from the Norse faction descended like a falling mountain.
The sheer force behind it caused the air to crack and splinter. Trees at the edge of the forest were instantly uprooted, and the ground beneath them began fracturing from the pressure alone.
Glaciana’s expression became serious.
"This power... it’s at least Overlord Rank 5."
Aldric nodded grimly.
"Possibly higher."
The attack was moments away from striking Caelus, Sylvia, and Sylvie.
Then the Star King Administration leader moved.
He raised one hand toward the sky, and Star Power began gathering around his palm. The energy condensed rapidly, forming a massive orb that looked like a miniature celestial body.
The orb radiated an enormous amount of Star Power.
He sent it forward.
BOOM!
The two attacks collided in midair.
A tremendous explosion of energy erupted across the sky. Light and force spread outward in every direction, flattening everything within hundreds of meters.
Yet the Star King Administration leader remained completely unharmed.
The attack had been successfully blocked.
The Norse faction member who launched the attack stared in disbelief. His expression twisted with fury.
"Why is the Star King Administration interfering with the Norse faction?"
His voice echoed across the battlefield.
"Do you have any authority to involve yourselves in our affairs? Why are you protecting this man?"
The Star King Administration leader did not answer immediately.
Instead, he turned toward Caelus and pointed directly at him.
"He is the Star King of his era."
The entire forest fell silent at his words.
"The Star King is not simply a title that can be claimed by anyone."
His voice carried absolute certainty.
"The fact that he unlocked the Star Magic means he is the being that can rule over the Star King World."
The reaction was immediate.
Glaciana’s eyes widened in shock. She stared at Caelus as though she were seeing him for the first time.
Aldric’s expression became complicated. He looked toward Caelus with a mixture of disbelief and respect.
The Norse faction members froze completely. Their earlier hostility vanished, replaced by confusion and uncertainty.
The surrounding forces began murmuring among themselves.
"The Star King?"
"The administration would never make such a claim unless they were absolutely certain."
Caelus himself remained stunned.
He had not expected the situation to change this quickly.
Only moments ago, he was prepared to fight everyone who stood in his way. Now an entire organization that possessed immense power was suddenly offering him protection.
The Star King Administration leader snapped his fingers.
Immediately, every member of the Star King Administration moved into formation. They lined up directly in front of Caelus, forming a protective barrier between him and everyone else.
The leader stepped forward.
"Sir. Please come with us. We will keep you safe."
Caelus was taken aback.
He briefly looked toward Sylvia and Sylvie before turning back to the administration.
After coughing awkwardly, he simply said,
"Alright."
There was no reason to reject their offer.
Internally, Caelus trusted them for the moment. If they attempted anything against him, he already had a countermeasure.
He remembered Star Compression.
Star Compression was one of the magics contained within Star Magic. Unlike a normal attack, it was particularly effective against beings who possessed Star-related powers.
If the Star King Administration attempted something against him, Caelus believed he could deal with them and make their skills work against them.
The group began leaving together.
Caelus, Sylvia, and Sylvie were escorted by the Star King Administration toward their headquarters.
While traveling, Caelus’s thoughts turned toward something completely unrelated to the current situation.
The entire situation reminded him of Kevin from the Abyss.
Kevin was the person from whom Caelus originally obtained the Talent connected to the Star King.
Caelus thought that if Kevin were here in the real world, he probably would have made much better use of the Star King Talent.
But Kevin was not here.
Caelus had taken his place.
He briefly wondered what everyone from that world was doing.
His thoughts moved through the people he remembered from the Abyss. The old man Welt. Welt’s daughter. His best friend. And most importantly, the parents he had in that world.
Caelus still had no idea where his "parents" from that world were.
That uncertainty bothered him.
Despite all the power he had accumulated, there were still people and places from his previous existence that remained completely beyond his reach.
Caelus then noticed Sylvia with Sylvie in her embrace.
Sylvie was currently being held close by Sylvia, who gently patted her head. Sylvie appeared much calmer than before, though she still carried the emotional scars from everything she had experienced.
Caelus suddenly realized something.
"You are from the Abyss too. Right?"
Sylvie opened her eyes.
She looked toward Caelus blankly for a moment before silently nodding.
Caelus nodded in response. All the enders started off at the Abyss without exceptions.
He needed to find a way back.
Now that he had reached the Overlord Rank, Caelus felt that he finally possessed enough strength to potentially search for a route back to the Abyss.
However, he understood that reaching the Overlord Rank did not mean he had reached the peak.
Above the reality he currently inhabited existed the God Domain.
Even if he managed to return to the Abyss, he had no idea whether he would ever be capable of reaching the God Domain afterward.
There were still countless unknown layers above him.
The group eventually reached the headquarters of the Star King Administration.
The headquarters felt ancient for some reason. Massive pillars of crystallized Star Power lined the entrance, and the architecture reflected an organization that had existed for an enormous amount of time.
This place was directly connected to the Star King.
The Star King Administration members escorted Caelus, Sylvia, and Sylvie inside.
The administration leader informed Caelus that their current Overseer would like to meet him.
Caelus agreed.
The group proceeded toward the Overseer’s chamber.
Caelus, Sylvia, and Sylvie entered together.
The current Overseer turned toward them.
His attention immediately focused on Sylvie.
He recognized her identity as the Ender of Death.
"Ender of Death. Nice to meet you. I’ve already heard everything."
"Since You was accompanying the Star King, the Star King Administration would protect you as well. Do not worry about the Norse Faction."
Although the Overseer maintained his composure, internally he was extremely shaken.
He was standing directly in front of an Ender.
An Ender was not simply another powerful player. They were beings associated with enormous destruction, havoc, and war.
The appearance of an Ender meant that some kind of enormous conflict or war was already underway.
The Overseer understood that the Star King Administration must eventually choose a side.
They could not remain neutral forever.
Once an Ender reached their full potential, virtually nobody would be capable of stopping them.
’Enders possess their own progression beyond the ordinary ranks of Gods.’
