Chapter 1746 1746: Blood and Sound (Part 2)

It wasn't often, but sometimes the spectators in the arena could find themselves in danger. Sometimes this was due to inadequate or completely absent safety measures. Still, more often than not, the reason was different: the two combatants turned out to be too powerful for the level of protection that had been prepared for them.

There were likely no more than three Fangs in the Hollow Lands who could have broken through the barrier at Leerna's arena.

Zin had done it, and for everyone except the frightened spectators, this was good news.

The Thorns exchanged glances as satisfied smirks spread across their faces. They sensed the fight was nearing its end, and it looked like, instead of a boring, slow finale, they would see everything Zin was capable of. It was worth a lot.

The incident with the destroyed spectator stands had drawn a lot of attention, but very soon everyone's gaze turned to what really mattered to Adam.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Blood was actively streaming down his left arm. The gash on his shoulder was so deep and wide that his bones and muscles were visible.

If Adam had hesitated even for a split second, the sound blade would have sliced off a third of his torso, which would have ended his fight.

The spectators, especially those who had bet on Adam, held their breath.

"No way, how... You can't fight with a wound like that!" The young girl's voice trembled as she covered her mouth.

The man sitting next to him clenched his jaw tighter. "Rgh, looks like it's over. With a wound like that, any sudden movement will rip off his shoulder and arm."

"Yes," his friend nodded. "Even without considering the pain and damage, he'll lose too much blood in this state. Tsk, who would've thought it would all end with a single cut?"

It seemed that Zin was the only one who hadn't yet grasped the gravity of the situation. He needed the fight to continue. Only then could he hear the flow of Queen Elisa's blood.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Zin's heart was pounding as he looked at the blood covering Adam's shoulder, not yet realizing how serious the wound was.

'Come on, Adam! We have to keep going!' Zin exclaimed inwardly. 'I can practically hear it!'

Step.

Zin took a step forward as his eyes widened in shock.

'Agh? Why isn't he doing anything?'

Only now did he realize that Adam wasn't ready for battle. His breathing was slow and labored, as if his body was doing everything it could to keep him alive.

If Zin had wanted only victory, this would have been good news for him, but he needed something else from Adam.

'No! You must keep fighting!'

Panic began to rise in Zin as soon as a bright light flashed in his eyes.

White threads emerged from Adam's back. He was about to use the End Bliss.

The more desperate the situation, the more desperate the measures.

Adam had already had to alter the End Bliss once for the sake of survival. If not for that, he wouldn't have stood a chance against the Dark Knight.

Now, the time had come to break his ability once more for the sake of survival.

"Adam…" Lone Blaze's voice trembled as she watched the events unfold from his inner space. 'It doesn't matter what form you take. If you use the full power of my threads now, your body won't be able to withstand it!'

He heard her clearly, but Adam wasn't going to stop.

Whoooooosh!

The white threads surged outward in a powerful stream, but for some reason, there were neither black nor amber threads among them.

The threads were in no hurry to take the shape of wings. They hung in the air as Adam looked up, staring intently at Zin.

That was more than enough for Zin. The corners of his mouth turned upward as all that was left for him to do was wait a little while.

In a sharp movement, all the threads curved and headed toward Adam's shoulder, piercing the edges and, as if guided by the hands of a skilled surgeon, stitching up his terrible wound.

Pain flashed across Adam's face, causing his muscles to tense, but this was far better than dying right here and now.

Sckl!

The last thread pierced his skin before passing through all the other threads in a single final line, securing the entire suture.

Nearly fifty threads in a single silver strand now ran across Adam's shoulder, creating the illusion that the deep cut had never been there.

"Adam." Zin stepped forward, extending his only hand. "You're ready to continue, aren't you?"

Before answering, Adam glanced at his shoulder. He had stopped the bleeding and eliminated the risk of the shoulder tearing, but that didn't mean there were no consequences.

Everything before his eyes was spinning, and darkness crept in from the edges, eager to plunge him into a deep sleep where he could rest.

'No.' Adam clenched his fists tightly. 'I must keep fighting! If I don't defeat Zin, the Blood of God will destroy me from within!'

Ironically, neither Adam nor Zin needed a victory over their opponent. They both wanted something from the blood that lay within Adam's inner space.

That was precisely why Zin wasn't going to wait any longer. He was close to his goal, and while Adam could still fight, he had to hear the blood of Queen Elisa flow.

Zin smirked as he spread his fingers wide.

With a sweeping motion, he slapped his chest as a sharp crack echoed through the arena.

Before Adam could even process it, a shadow fell upon him.

CRACK!

Zin's fist slammed straight into Adam's jaw, a stream of blood gushing out.

The world spun before Adam's eyes as his back touched the cold surface.

Thanks to his weapon, Zin had become even faster, and now every one of his hits, even a simple punch, could pack the force of several sound waves.

"Come on, Adam! Fight, or of the two of us, only I will get what I want!"

BAM!

Zin's fist slammed into Adam, causing a sound blast that slammed his head further into the ground.

With every punch, blood gushed out, and Zin had no reason to stop, he was getting closer and closer to his goal.

With difficulty, but his ears were already picking up the unique rhythm hidden deep within Adam's blood.

'More! I need just a little more!' Zin exclaimed inwardly.

Adam tried to defend himself, but it was like trying to block a heavy sledgehammer with a hand.

Very soon, a veil of darkness covered Adam's vision as he saw only blood spattering in all directions.

"Agh…?" He blinked with difficulty, realizing that neither Zin nor the arena was before him anymore.

Now, he was looking at a void in the midst of which a blood bubble hovered, ready to burst at any moment.
