Chapter 3002: How to Align Granularity
It had to be said—despite the puppet brother's burly physique, his voice was rather caustic.
That sudden evaluation might theoretically have been a positive review, but it carried absolutely no goodwill.
Fortunately, Fu Qian was long accustomed to such things. He merely cast a natural glance toward the demigod model.
Calling it caustic was simply stating a fact. Aside from the critique itself, the voice sounded somewhat pale and shrill.
It was perfectly explainable. For instance, his constant silence in their previous interactions could have been due to years of practicing a vow of silence, leaving his vocal cords unused for a long time.
If that were truly the case, then his transgression here was massive.
To think that a mere inner thought had provoked the puppet brother into breaking his vow just to complain.
"What's wrong?"
Fortunately, to his relief, that did not seem to be the case.
Stoss, who had been keeping an eye on Fu Qian's movements, followed his gaze with some confusion.
"You aren't planning to use him for testing, are you?"
The same went for the puppet brother's master. The vastly experienced Excellency Chaumont seemed to have misunderstood the meaning behind Fu Qian's action, looking equally doubtful. Much like Stoss, he apparently had not heard the voice just now, nor had he seen the demigod puppet's facial movements.
The situation was obvious. Following Professor Ian, Father's Amnion, and Master Yuhun, something new had been torn out.
It was just that, much like the inner demon, its manifestation was somewhat subtle—it had actually possessed Chaumont's puppet.
Of course, Chaumont's train of thought was perfectly reasonable. They had just been discussing the use of the Karmic Bond.
When one did not want to take unnecessary risks, testing it on another entity first was a matter of human nature.
Not to mention, the demigod puppet was a perfect candidate.
It possessed no intellect of its own, yet it shared a special subordinate connection with Chaumont.
For testing the effect of "severing mortal ties and returning to purity," it was even more targeted than a normal subject.
"Of course. If you are interested, please feel free."
Additionally, it was evident that Excellency Chaumont's surprise did not stem from any reluctance to part with this tool, but rather from feeling that Professor Fu's thought process should not be so easy to guess.
A moment later, he waved his hand, gesturing for him not to hold back.
...
"My thanks. Excellency Chaumont is too generous."
Professor Fu had always been one for readily accepting good advice. With a sigh of admiration, he stepped right up to the puppet brother and scrutinized him closely.
"Why aren't you answering my question? You don't want them to know about this conversation?"
Yet the colossal creature remained motionless, simply staring down at him from above.
"This doesn't seem like your style, either. At the final step on the path to becoming a God, you still can't help but worry about personal gains and losses?"
"In truth, I completely understand your feelings. It's just that you don't understand your own situation, do you?"
His next words were not only caustic but also piercing—
"So do you understand my situation?"
Unfortunately, the entity still lacked a sufficient understanding of Professor Fu's character. In that moment, not only did Fu Qian show no intention of refuting the claim, he even genuinely asked for advice about his own situation.
"...How are you doing that?"
The puppet brother's imposing aura immediately faltered, especially upon noticing that Chaumont and the others had no reaction whatsoever.
"However you are doing it is exactly how I am doing it."
When it came to the art of language, however, the entity had clearly picked the wrong opponent.
Fu Qian shook his head, speaking even more cryptically.
In fact, the one speaking was not the head he was shaking, but the other one cradled in the palm of his right hand.
Yes, the inner demon.
Faced with the sudden, sharp critique, Fu Qian decisively underwent a "shattered dao heart," plummeting into The Abyss once again.
...
In all fairness, it was truly wondrous.
Perhaps it was not hidden as well as the inner demon, but the entity behind the demigod puppet acted even more bizarrely.
The fact that everything torn out during the Birthday Party could only be seen by him had been consistently verified from the very beginning.
But what was special this time was the apparent emergence of a method to break the dimensional barrier—namely, occupying the body of a real-world entity and using its mouth to produce sound.
What was even more special was that this method, which seemed capable of breaking the dimensional barrier, had not actually done so.
The voice was still somehow heard by him alone, while the other spectators showed no reaction. Was it a dream targeting only him?
He couldn't deny the possibility; he had even pulled off similar operations himself.
However, pulling off precise filtering and perfect isolation right in front of four Tier 2 individuals felt like it carried quite a bit of operational difficulty.
Not to mention that among them was Classmate Su Gao, a professional anti-deception expert.
In comparison, it felt much more like a déjà vu of the Etched Intellect.
In short, this illogical performance alone was enough to thrill Professor Fu with the joy of the hunt.
Not to mention, he already had some guesses as to the newcomer's divine identity.
"You are putting yourself in a highly dangerous situation."
At this moment, staring at the head in his hand, the demigod puppet seemed to have finally finished its mental preparation.
Not only did it answer the question about his situation, but the precision of its judgment really did not seem like a lucky guess.
"And you look like you've finally made some progress... Is it because the environment here is particularly suitable? Excellency Blasphemy."
Fu Qian, on the other hand, highly praised the other party's performance and even called out a title. Yes, the Blasphemy Monarch—a truly unwelcome character in a certain Transcendent Tier circle.
As expected of the Birthday Party. This trip truly was a gathering of all worthies and luminaries.
...
"It looks like your progress is even greater. How did you confirm it?"
For a moment, the dull-faced demigod puppet seemed to have reverted to its essence as a tool, as if the will behind it had left.
However, seemingly unable to suppress its curiosity, it finally spoke again, practically admitting it in a roundabout way.
"I already told you. However you are doing it is exactly how I am doing it."
Even though the newcomer was considered notorious in the industry, Fu Qian did not mind the filth at all, speaking with casual confidence.
"I was just discussing with someone earlier whether the wind moves or the flag moves, and the final conclusion was that the Sage's heart moves... Everything inflicted upon me is mine, and if it is mine, why wouldn't I recognize it?"
It was just that his phrasing truly had the potential to get him beaten to death; it was barely human speech anymore.
Even though it was genuinely the truth.
The reason this unconventional exchange could be achieved was very simple. The reason he could hear the voice while the others had no reaction was not that he had fallen into a dream, but because he had been struck by "Blasphemy."
Just like back then in Silver Mist Manor, Excellency Blasphemy had locked onto him, wielding that authority which everyone abhorred.
The scene before his eyes was akin to the "past life" he had seen back then—a corruption of his own perception.
And why had no one noticed his reaction either?
That was also simple. Just like the fungal threads that were refined earlier, the path of "Chan" corresponding to the inner demon had always been absolute idealism.
"Mine, mine, it's all mine." Even the blasphemy inflicted upon his body was being forcibly refined by the power of the inner demon, thereby successfully aligning granularity with the other party.
