Frost left the bathroom a few minutes after formulating his genius plan, the malicious smile on his lips growing with every rendition.

The bathroom door was opened with great force, the noise alerting the four sitting on the nearby sofa.

"Oh, that expression....Daki you’re screwed." Maya was the first to notice the evil smile on his lips and wasted no time giving her condolences to her startled sister.

"Urgh." Daki felt a shiver run down her spine, a sense of dread and foreboding wrapped around her heart and a cold, mocking voice whispered in her ear, speaking of karma and just desserts.

Nanna and Loki however were completely unaware of the indecision she was facing, the two without hesitation running up to him with their arms stretched out.

"Master." Though his smile was a little weird his expression was no longer dark and despairing.

"Nanna, Loki since there’s still time before dinner how about we do another activity...as a family." His eyes lingered on Daki, stressing the word family to forcefully involve her. ℯ

"Family?....un un." Both Nanna and Loki were briefly stunned by the word, moved by the connotations before quickly nodding their heads like baby chicks.

"You heard them, let’s spend some more time together as a family." After rubbing their heads in an affectionate manner Frost once again turned his gaze to the two women sitting on the sofa. From the way he was looking at them and the tone in his voice it was clear he wouldn’t be accepting no as an answer.

’Haaaaaa I better not have to suffer because of this Daki.’ Maya used telepathy to communicate with her sister before rising to a standing position.

"What did you have in mind?" She gently asked more than a little curious.

Daki meanwhile felt as though she was trapped in a shrinking room with no one by her side to help her. Frost’s smile and fervent gaze were akin to a starving predator, making avoiding him all but impossible.

’Fuck! Why did I have to go and mess with him.’ She quickly started regretting her actions before Frost even had a chance to reveal his master plan, so great was the dread she felt because of that fear invoking smile.

"A bath." Stated Frost while maintaining that scary smile of his.

"A bath?" The two words served only to confuse Maya resulting in her tilting her head to the side and repeating what he said in a questioning manner.

""A bath?"" Nanna and Loki responded the exact same way, prying themselves from Frost to stare up at him with puzzled expressions.

’Are we going to wash each other?’ Was the direction their minds went, Loki unbothered by it but Nanna given that she was nearing her teenage years couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed. A small blush formed across her cheeks, but she didn’t say anything in the way of denial even holding a strange expectation in her heart.

"Yes a bath, we’ll all get into the water together, but it won’t be for washing but training."

"Training?" Once again the children were confused by what he said.

"Ahh you mean a cold bath." Maya however had caught on, her eyes lighting up with interest as she turned her head to face Daki.

’So that’s his angle....pretty clever.’ Her sister would definitely suffer from such an activity perhaps even more miserably than he did at fishing.

"Correct, using the cold flame oddity I’ll be turning the massive bath in the master bathroom into a cold bath, one where the waters are below freezing. The perfect environment for training one’s ice resistance." He had the opportunity to enjoy such a bath back in the Realm of Niflheim, so it was only natural to have the desire to see his family benefit from it as well.

Hearing that they’d be training their ice resistance and better yet that the cold flame oddity was going to be used Nanna and Loki gazed at Frost with both longing and hunger.

Phoenix kin such as themselves could grow stronger from eating flames and the silver coloured cold flames produced by Frost’s oddity were akin to delicacies in their eyes. The only issue was that their instincts tended to go haywire whenever the flames danced before them, like starving beasts they’d leap after them with their mouths stretched wide regardless of whether or not they were strong enough to contain them. Frost often had to physically restrain their bodies whenever he fed them.

The two youths were now very excited to start training in the so called cold bath, but another individual wasn’t quite so keen in fact her face revealed nothing but fear and panic.

"But I don’t have any ice resistance." Daki’s voice was no different from a whimper as she stressed her lacking qualities.

While Nanna and Loki were phoenix kin and born with an innate resistance to the cold just like Maya was as a Fenrir and Frost as a cold based Dungeon core she was just an orc succubus who happened to grow up in a cold environment. She could handle bad weather but actually inviting the ice element into her body was beyond her capabilities of which Frost was very much aware.

"Oh I know, but perhaps you’ll gain some after a bit of training." He wasn’t going to let her scurry away just because of a technicality. What you don’t have you can acquire; it might just hurt a little.

".....Evil, petty, son of a bi...." Daki mumbled and grumbled under her breath wanting nothing more than to give Frost a good old fashioned whack across the head, but she restrained herself as she could only blame herself for his current actions. If she didn’t mess with him during their fishing trip he would never be this forceful.

’Haaaaa at least I know he won’t let any real harm come to me.’ Her man may be petty and evil at times, but he genuinely loved her and cared about her wellbeing. She’ll have to suffer a little but nothing more and perhaps as he said she might even gain a little bit of ice resistance in the end.

Daki thus surrendered herself to the inevitable, offering no resistance bar the occasional grumble and pleading expression but unfortunately Frost was unfazed by either.

"Go put on your swimsuits then meet us in the bathroom." Frost told the kids before walking up to Maya. "Would you mind helping with temperature management, just in case." Although he wouldn’t be lowering the water’s temperature to the same degree he experienced back in the Realm of Niflheim it still wasn’t a 100% safe activity given those involved so he asked Maya for her help.

"No problem, it’s been a while since I last had a proper cold bath so it should be quite refreshing." Given her origin Maya wasn’t all that different from the Niflheim royal family, often partaking in such delights and training methods since she was young.

She briefly glanced at her sister before going on her tiptoes and whispering in her lover’s ear. "Don’t take your revenge too far lest you regret it." She warned hoping Frost wouldn’t push Daki too far.

"Relax I know where to draw the line." He whispered back dispelling Maya’s worries. Daki would suffer yes but not too much just enough to know she went too far with her earlier antics.

To keep the woman in question in the dark however the two lovers maintained mischievous expressions, staring at the green skinned orc as if she was a pitiful victim.

’Great now they’re both in on it.’ Hearing them whisper to each other and look in her direction Daki assumed Maya had been roped in on Frost’s revenge plan leaving her without a single ally.

"Put on a swimsuit or any thin clothing you don’t mind getting wet then meet us in the master bathroom." Frost practically ordered with a savage glint in his eyes, he was enjoying this already.

"Hmph!" Daki loudly hmphed, bashing him with her shoulder as she walked passed and into her personal bedroom.

"Haaaaa I’ll go with her." Maya sighed, shaking her head as she chased after her sister hoping to lend her a little support before the event truly begins.

"Guess I should start making the preparations." Once the rest were gone, searching through their clothes for swimsuits or appropriate training attire Frost quicky fetched the ice silk trunks he got from the Azure Star inn’s bathhouse, stripped down and made his way into the bathroom which had seen many alterations over the past few months.

While cleaning magic worked wonders it didn’t have quite the same effect as a good old fashioned wipe down nor its relaxing benefits thus the bath itself as well as the showers were substantially larger than necessary. Frost, Maya and Daki were also prone to engaging in certain other activities within it, so it was quite luxurious and more than enough to support a cold bath for five people.

Activating a few inscribed runes Frost quickly started filling up the bath before retrieving the cold flame oddity from the vault’s storage. He left for the Realm of Niflheim solely to return this temporary gift yet in the end was granted permanent ownership and even walked away with something even more valuable.
