Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1079:- Despair

Chapter 1079:- Despair

The 15 seconds of Dragon Monarch’s Domain had ended. The crimson lightning that filled the sky gradually disappeared. The violent crimson clouds that had covered Axel City began to disperse. The terrifying pressure that came from Aditya rapidly weakened.

At the bottom of a really deep crater, Aditya lay motionless. He had never been in such a miserable condition as he was now.

His left arm was severed. Half of his right arm was gone. His left leg had been blown apart from the thigh. Many ribs were shattered.

His Dragon Wings were badly damaged. He could no longer use them to fly.

His entire body was covered in blood. The backlash of the Dragon Monarch’s Domain was beginning to affect him. Almost all of his mana had been drained away. Every part of his body screamed in pain.

Yet despite all that, Aditya’s attention remained on Victor.

Victor slowly descended from the sky while holding his spear. The battle was already over. Both parties knew that. Even if Aditya used his saved-up experience points, he won’t be able to heal his limbs. And for Victor, he would need a microsecond to end his life.

The Peak 7th-order cultivator calmly landed a few meters away from Aditya and looked down at him. He looked at Aditya like a hunter looking at wounded prey.

"You disappointed me." Victor slowly raised his spear.

"I expected more from you. But then again, this isn’t the Six Continents where we are restricted to just Peak 5th-order."

Unlike before, there was no intention of crippling him. More specifically, destroying the Black Heart. Victor wanted him to remain alive for a little longer and watch as he bought everyone he loved before his eyes and killed them one by one.

Victor knew very well that Aditya possessed two hearts. One of them was his normal heart. The other was the Black Heart that had saved his life countless times before. So destroying one of his hearts won’t kill him.

Seeing this, Aditya tried to move.

He desperately tried to stand. He gave his all, tried to activate his teleportation. But his body refused to obey him.

His mana reserves were almost empty. His vision was blurry. His body felt heavier than a mountain.

For the first time since obtaining the system, Aditya truly felt helpless.

Victor’s spear slowly pointed toward the right side of his chest to the exact location where the Black Heart was hidden. The spear shot forward like a bolt of lightning.

The surrounding air exploded from the sheer speed of the attack. A tunnel of compressed air formed behind the spear tip while cracks spread through the ground beneath Victor’s feet.

At that moment, Aditya truly believed he was about to die.

But then a figure suddenly appeared between them.

"Uncle Wahid...?" Aditya’s eyes widened. The heavily injured man somehow forced his body to move.

Even though several of his bones were broken.

Even though his internal organs had already suffered severe damage.

Even though simply standing should have been impossible.

Wahid still moved. He refused to stand still and watch things happen. He would rather die than let his nephew or a member of his family die before his eyes. This was the Harrington blood. A true Harrington never abandons his family.

Because behind him was his nephew.

Because behind him was family.

But the spear still struck. Aditya wasn’t harmed by the attack. The one who was struck by the spear was Wahid.

The silver spear pierced directly through his abdomen before emerging from his back.

Blood erupted like a fountain into the air.

But the force behind the attack did not stop there. Victor drove the spear forward with overwhelming strength. Since Wahid had come himself, he decided to kill Wahid in front of Aditya.

The weapon continued through Wahid’s body while carrying him backwards. The spear tore through flesh, shattered bones, and destroyed everything in its path. Before Wahid could even scream, Victor twisted the spear.

Booooooooom!!!!!

A violent explosion of energy erupted inside Wahid’s body. A large hole instantly appeared in the centre of his stomach. Blood and shattered pieces of armor scattered across the battlefield.

"UNCLE WAHID!!!"

Aditya roared like a wounded Dragon. Hearing this, a grin appeared on Victor’s face. This is exactly what he wanted to hear and see from Aditya. Words cannot describe just how much satisfaction he felt from watching and hearing this.

But Victor was not finished.

Seeing Wahid somehow still conscious, Victor immediately launched a kick into his chest.

Crack!!!

The remaining ribs shattered instantly. Wahid’s body was launched into the air.

Victor appeared beside him. He followed with another attack.

And another.

And another.

Each strike landed on a different part of Wahid’s body.

His shoulder exploded apart. His side collapsed inward. His chest caved in further.

The energy contained within Victor’s attacks rampaged through his meridians, destroying everything they touched. The cultivation foundation that Wahid had spent thousands of years building began collapsing under the overwhelming force.

Finally, Victor grabbed Wahid by the neck and slammed him into the ground.

Booooooooom!!!!!

The earth beneath them collapsed. A new crater formed inside the larger crater. The impact sent countless tons of rock flying into the air.

When the dust finally settled, Wahid was lying motionless at the centre of the crater. His entire body was covered in blood. Large holes could be seen throughout his abdomen and torso, while the armour that once protected him had been completely destroyed. Pieces of shattered metal were scattered around him, mixed together with blood, stone, and debris from the battlefield. The injuries covering his body were so severe that it was difficult to believe he was still alive.

His cultivation aura had almost completely disappeared. The powerful presence that once belonged to a Mid 7th-order cultivator was now barely detectable. Even his heartbeat had become so faint that it was almost impossible to hear. If someone did not carefully check, they would simply assume that he was already dead.

Victor looked at Wahid for a few seconds before losing interest. In his eyes, Wahid was already finished. Whether he died immediately or a few minutes later no longer mattered. The damage done to his body was simply too severe. Without some kind of miracle, survival itself would be difficult, let alone recovering from such injuries.

A few meters away, Aditya could only stare at the scene before him. His remaining hand trembled uncontrollably while his vision gradually became blurry. It was not because of the unbearable pain coming from his missing arm and leg. It was not because of the shattered ribs in his chest or the exhaustion caused by the Dragon Monarch’s Domain. It was because he had just watched someone throw away his life to protect him.

The image of Wahid rushing in front of that spear continued replaying inside his mind. He remembered the warmth, kindness, and genuine care that his uncle had shown him ever since they met. And now that same person was lying motionless on the ground, covered in blood because he had chosen to shield Aditya from an attack that should have killed him. For the first time since arriving in this world, Aditya truly felt helpless.

Just then, the soldiers who had managed to slip through found one of the boxes and destroyed it.

Once the boxes were destroyed, everyone noticed that the barrier surrounding the entire Axel City was starting to slowly fade.

In another corner of the city, Boris drove his Dragon Claw through the Sect Leader’s head. Sophia was so injured that she could not move her body out of the way fast enough. She could only watch with terrified eyes as Boris’s sharp claws tore through her brain.

"Damn yo.....!!!" These were the last words that she murmured before she collapsed onto the ground.

Boris had no time to celebrate or waste as he had been hearing the constant sounds of explosions coming from the centre of the city. Before leaving, he noticed the barrier that surrounded the entire body was starting to fade.

Similar to Boris, the Malakor managed to win his fight against Renji and Harry. The poison had taken a little longer to work, but in the end, both men were paralysed. Before losing their abilities to move, both men tried their best to bring Malakor with them.

But how can a man driven by the purpose of protecting his family die.

The moment both of them slowed down, Malakor did not waste a second. He ruthlessly severed their heads.

"The barrier is fading. They did it." Seeing this, Malakor was a little bit happy. But he, like Boris, also heard the continuous non-stop sounds of explosions. Without wasting a single second, he dashed towards the centre of the city at full speed.
