Chapter 1041:- The Return of the True Heir

Chapter 1041: Chapter 1041:- The Return of the True Heir

Hmph!!!!

In the end, Harrington was the first to control his violent Aura. No one expected him to be the first one to do that. But Harrington saw that Duke Cassian was a friend and understood the situation that his friend was in. Malakor Harrington decided to stop his killing intent from pressuring everyone.

"We are not savages. But if this disappointment who thinks that he is the Emperor keeps running his mouth, then I won’t have any problem forcing human shit down that throat of his."

"Harrington!!!!" Ren Aura was more violent than before. He was so mad that his eyes turned red. He almost rushed at Harrington, alone, but the four National Treasures, along with Sophia and Renji, held him back.

"High Highness, the Former Crown Prince is here." The moment these words were spoken, everyone’s eyes were immediately drawn to the entrance.

At that moment, heavy rain had already started pouring.

A beautiful Carriage that was made up of gold and mystic wood stopped at the entrance. The whole carriage was beautifully decorated with diamonds and other rare minerals. On both sides of the carriages, there were beautiful red paintings of Dragons flying.

"I know this carriage." Harrington was the first one to recognise this. Very long, and a long time ago, he knew a certain someone who always used to arrive in this special carriage.

"He is here." The Goddess of War, Freya, walked to the entrance.

But she wasn’t the only one. Duke Ferdinand, followed by Duke Cassian, walked behind the Goddess of War.

Harrington did not move. Given their relationship, there was no need to move. When he heard Freya say that he was here, he thought that Boris was here because no one could sense anything inside the Carriage.

Boris’s carriage even had the ability to fly. It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that Boris had the best carriage in the world.

Duke Cassian took out a red umbrella and opened it in front of the Carriage. Seeing this, everyone was shocked and stunned.

He himself was getting soaked under the heavy rain, yet as the Duke, he held an umbrella for someone other than the Emperor. No Duke would do something like that for the Emperor either. Yet, Cassian was doing it without caring about his reputation or image.

The first person to get out of the Carriage was an old but familiar person to everyone. It was the former retired Emperor, Boris.

Seeing Boris step out of the Carriage, Ren’s face turned pale. He looked like he had seen his own dead father crawling out of the grave.

It wasn’t just him who had this reaction.

The nobles who sided with Emperor Ren immediately lost their spines, and their expressions made them look like cowards.

Sophia started sweating. If Harrington was a lunatic, then Boris was a force of destruction that no one could control. If one were to peel someone’s skin and hang him outside for days, then the other one was the kind to unleash chaos so violent and destructive in nature that the whole geography of that area changed.

Renji, who boldly came here to take the Emperor’s side, was now regretting his decision. He felt this was the most stupid move he had ever made in his entire life. The consequences of losing this war will be so bad that his entire Sect might get destroyed within a single night.

"Your Majesty!!" Cassian’s hand started shaking, seeing the old face of Emperor Boris. He can’t remember how many centuries it had been since he last saw the old Emperor’s face. After handing everything over to his son, the old Emperor stopped appearing in public. Not even Dukes had the opportunity to meet him again.

There were even some speculations that the old Emperor Boris had passed away, which is why he wasn’t appearing in public anymore.

But the old Emperor was well and healthy. He was the same as before.

Those eyes still held the same level of fierceness as before.

Boris smiled at the Duke and shook his head. "I am not the Emperor anymore. Also, the one for whom you should be holding the umbrella isn’t me." Saying that, Boris stepped aside. When he stood beside Cassian, strangely, the rain did not touch his body. Instead, it gently bounced off his body, like there was some kind of invisible shield protecting him from the rain.

The moment Boris moved out, Cassian and the rest that followed him were able to see the face of a handsome man sitting inside the carriage with three girls.

"Welcome to Ashvale, Your Royal Highness." While holding the umbrella high for Aditya, Cassian performed a small bow to greet the exiled Crown Prince.

Cassian extended his right hand for Aditya to grab to use it as a support when he was about to get off the Carriage.

The moment his hand appeared, it was as if everyone held their breath and time had slowed down.

The moment he stepped down, Harrington felt like he had forgotten how to breathe. Never did his heart beat this fast.

’That face....!!!’ His entire body began to tremble.

’That face almost looks like my own daughter’s face.’ At least that’s what Harrington felt.

But Boris felt that Aditya inherited his and his son’s looks more.

’There is no mistaking it!’ Even Malakor Harrington himself did not realise that he was walking towards Aditya.

’This is my grandchild.’

The first person whom Aditya looked at after getting down from the carriage was the old man standing behind the Goddess of War. He knew this old man. He had nothing but fond memories of this old man.

If there was any person who doted on Aditya the most, then it was him.

When Aditya was 7 years old, he came to Harrington’s bedroom. On the wall, there was his greatsword that he had been using since he was a teenager. This greatsword was so dear and precious to Harrington that he did not let anyone touch it, much less lend it to someone in a fight or even in a friendly spar.

While Harrington fell asleep with Aditya, the little Aditya slipped out of the bed and painted the entire greatsword in many different colours.

When Harrington’s nephew, Wahid, did the same when he was young, Harrington got mad at Wahid and even gave him a little bit of children punishment. But when it was Aditya’s turn, he got no punishment at all.

Instead, Malakor laughed loudly. He liked this messy and stupid painting all over his greatsword so much that he never bothered to get it removed. After all those years, the painting on the greatsword was pretty much worn out, revealing its original dark grey colour. But to this day, Harrington refuses to repaint his greatsword.

Seeing Harrington, all those happy memories of the past flooded back into Aditya’s mind at once.

Harrington was about to rush to hug Aditya, but then he began to have inner doubts.

What if Aditya blamed and hated him, thinking that his grandfather had not come to save him when he was abandoned?

What if His dear grandchild had already forgotten about him?

What if his grandchild had nothing but hate for him in his heart?

But in the next seconds, all those doubts disappeared as Aditya rushed forward and hugged Harrington. Aditya’s hug looked like a hug that a child would give to the elders.

"Grandpa!!!" Harrington felt like weeping words that one word that he was longing to hear from the mouth of his grandchild.

The two men shared a long, much-needed hug. No words were spoken in their hug. At that moment, it was as if both men could sense each other’s emotions perfectly.

The hug lasted for more than ten seconds. Once the hug was over, Aditya’s attention was on the Goddess of War, Freya.

The two looked at each other and nodded at the same time. Both had met on the same day that Aditya had met his parents. Both of them had a long, healthy discussion about everything.

The main reason why the Goddess of War came here personally was because of Aditya. He was not just someone important to her... he was her fiancé. That alone was enough for her to step into this place without hesitation. But it was not the only reason. Both of them had grown completely tired of the presence of the Organisation. What started as something hidden had now become a threat too big to ignore. It was no longer a problem that one faction or one empire could deal with alone.

It had become everyone’s problem. And because of that, she knew that standing aside was not an option anymore.

She had many reasons not to come here today. The political tension, the unstable situation, the risk of openly taking a side... all of these were more than enough for someone of her position to stay away. But in the end, none of those reasons mattered to her.

Because Aditya was here. And that was enough.

She had no intention of hiding her support. Not today. Not in front of all these people. Especially not when it came to standing against someone she had never liked from the very beginning. She never trusted Aditya’s cousin. Not even once.

There was always something about him that felt wrong. Something that did not match his calm face and polite behaviour. It was not something she could explain with logic, but her instincts never allowed her to lower her guard around him.

And in the end...She was right.

The moment he became the Emperor, the mask began to fall. Slowly, but clearly, his true nature started revealing itself to everyone. The decisions he made, the way he handled power, the things he allowed to happen; All of it proved one thing. Her instincts had never been wrong.

"Finally, we get to meet each other." Aditya said with a smile.

"When you said you would come with a surprise that could change the tide of this civil war, I did not expect you to bring Grandpa Boris with you." With Boris on their side, Aditya can get so much more support in this civil war.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
