Chapter 1040: Chapter 1040:- Wrath Meets Madness

"His Majesty, the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, is about to enter." All eyes were on the entrance.

The New Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire wore a majestic golden dragon robe. The long, flowing robe was made from thick, heavy fabric, richly embroidered with shining golden dragon patterns that coiled across his chest, sleeves, and back. The wide sleeves draped down naturally, and the high collar framed his neck; all these made his presence look more imposing.

The fabric moved slowly with even the slightest motion, and the long lower part of the robe brushed against the ground as he stood still. A traditional inner garment of dark colour could be seen beneath the robe, adding contrast to the golden outer layer.

He stood 6 feet 2 inches tall. He had wide shoulders and a broad chest. He was slightly muscular, with his biceps appearing to be the most defined. He wore black boots.

He had spiky, very short hair that was not more than 1.5 inches long.

Emperor Ren was very handsome. He had a strong and well-defined jawline. He had beautiful Hazel eyes. He was clean-shaven, which gave him a youthful look despite being 491 years old. All these features gave him a very attractive look.

Emperor Ren did not arrive here alone. He came here with five other people. Four of them were the National Treasures and some of his most trusted men. Ren trusted these National Treasures so much that he knew even if everyone turned against him, these four and his friend would always stay by his side.

The first person who walked a few steps behind Ren was the newly appointed Prime Minister, Murphy Barajas.

At the entrance, Ren stopped and looked at Harrington. As both of their cold gazes met, suddenly the temperature of the entire hall dropped. Even the dukes from both sides started sweating.

’If these two fights now, then we are fucked.’ Many Dukes were already secretly looking around, hoping to find some kind of exit in case anything went wrong.

Ren then looked at Sophia and gave her a gentle nod. Sophia also returned the nod with a confident smile as if to show everyone that this was the power of the side that she had chosen in this civil war.

Ren then casually glanced at Renji. His expression towards Renji wasn’t as warm as it was for Sophia.

But Renji put his hand over his heart and gave a gentle bow to the Emperor.

"Hail to the Grand Emperor." The Dukes of the Emperor’s faction all bowed their heads to the Emperor. But the Dukes that stood opposing the Emperor did not bow their heads; they did not even offer any greetings.

In their eyes, Emperor Ren was not the true Emperor.

Although this displeased Ren, he did not say anything about it.

First and foremost, before saying any words, Ren walked to the body of General Nico William and then placed a white rose on his chest.

But the next second, his expression became fierce and cold.

"Aditya is my dear cousin. He is like a little brother to me, but I won’t tolerate anyone standing against me, even if that man is my own blood and like my own little brother."

Ren looked at those who stood against him.

"If you guys want to support a criminal, then be my guest. But know that death will be the ultimate punishment for this act of treason."

Ren then looked at the nobles who decided to stand against him. "You all should very well understand the consequences of standing against me."

"You can speak all you want, but you are nothing." Malakor released his terrifying killing intent.

"Even your grandfather did not want you to be the emperor. You are nothing but a pathetic disappointment shit to the royal family." Ren’s expression darkened at hearing these words. Till now, no one dared to disrespect him like this.

Ren felt like he was being slapped on both cheeks in front of everyone. If he did not react now, he would become a laughingstock in the entire Empire. Harrington’s insults hurt his pride and ego.

"Old man, better be careful with what you say next, as I can wipe you and your entire family within a few hours." Ren’s voice was very cold.

The next second, the Aura of four national treasures erupted behind the emperor and focused on the faction that stood against the emperor.

Malakor wasn’t the type to back down either. He took out his great sword and unleashed his full cultivation Aura to counter the Aura of the four national treasures.

"Bring it on."

He could not let a fight break out now. If it did, then he would suffer the most. And most importantly, this simply wasn’t the right time to fight.

He and the other Dukes needed to sit down and sign the Charter of Noble Reinstatement for Aditya.

But Harrington saw that Duke Cassian was a friend and understood the situation that his friend was in. Malakor Harrington decided to stop his killing intent from pressuring everyone.

"Harrington!!!!" Ren Aura was more violent than before. He was so mad that his eyes turned red. He almost rushed at Harrington, alone, but the four National Treasures, along with Sophia and Renji, held him back.
