Dragon Genesis: I Can Create Dragons

Chapter 346: How very predictable~

Chapter 346: How very predictable~

“Yes, I was told to stay with Lord Kael all the time.”

Alrisa added as if this was the most important detail, and Lavinia…

“All the time…?”

The Princess glanced at Kael and narrowed her eyes.

Kael instantly felt a shiver down his spine when he saw her face. He didn’t know why, but something inside him told him to clarify the misunderstanding as quickly as he could, and that is what he did.

“She is supposed to stay with me while I work, not all the time. She will help me with work and answer any questions that I might have.”

He explained.

“Oh, so she is supposed to stay with you only while you work, huh…”

Lavinia repeated, only focusing on the important bits.

“Does this mean she doesn’t have to stay now that you are done for the day?”

She questioned, the underlying meaning behind her words couldn’t be clearer. But as if the Princess didn’t wish to give any breathing room to the girl at all, she stared at Alrisa and—

“Thank you so much for your hard work, Alrisa.

You can leave now.”

She ordered.

Alrisa’s mouth twitched. Lavinia’s words sounded nice, the tone, however, couldn’t be more poisonous.

Of course, this didn’t mean Alrisa had any plans to accept her loss. She did not know what she was fighting for here, but her mind had already come up with a perfect answer.

She turned towards Kael and,

“Then Lord Kael,

I will see you tomorrow.”

She passed a gentle, kind smile.

And before Kael could say anything, Lavinia grabbed his arm and pulled him close to her,

“Yes, we will see you tomorrow, Alrisa.

Now if you will excuse us. You see, Kael still has to train, he cannot spend all the time thinking about things that happen at work, actually, those things are the least of his priority.

After all, he has quite a few responsibilities on his shoulders.

So I hope you understand and excuse us.

We will be taking our leave now.

You should return as well, I am sure you are tired from the day’s work.”

Lavinia smiled ’kindly’ as she pulled Kael away.

For a moment, Kael was taken aback. He saw how Lavinia was glaring at Alrisa, adding to how she hugged him and how she was pulling him away like this after shooing Alrisa away, a thought popped into his head.

’Is she jealous?’

The moment he thought about it, a big, wide grin appeared on his face. He allowed Lavinia to pull him away however she wanted.

Once the two of them were inside the house, Lavinia finally let him go and Kael’s grin widened even further.

“Awww~

You were waiting for me~”

He teased as he glanced at Lavinia playfully.

“As I said, I was waiting because we are in an unknown place. It could have been dangerous, it is better if we stay close.”

“Indeed indeed. It is much better if we stay close.”

Kael nodded, his smile widening, and somehow, this smile annoyed Lavinia.

“By the way…”

Suddenly, Kael called out.

“You called this place dangerous, but weren’t you the one who chose it? You said it’s the most suitable place for us.

Your sentences aren’t adding up, Lavinia Dragonborn.”

“The place being suitable for us doesn’t mean we should let our guard down.”

Lavinia answered as she walked away, not wanting to look at Kael’s face.

“Right, that indeed makes sense.”

Kael nodded.

“Yes, you also shouldn’t trust anyone you meet.”

Lavinia added. She momentarily turned towards him and with a solemn look on her face,

“Suspect everyone you see. Always think that they are out there to get you. Every move they make, look for their hidden intentions.”

“Mhm, I’ll only trust you.”

Kael nodded with a smile.

“Yes, only trust me.”

Lavinia nodded back, turning her face away in an instant.

“After the Magic Lectures, Aelindra gave me weekly provisions, all the necessities we would need to survive, even the food.

She also taught me how to cook it. I have made it according to her instructions, but it isn’t very delicious. Taste is the least of the people’s worries here.

But since it is what everyone here consumes, we will be no exception.

So let’s have dinner.”

She spoke, her hands moving on their own as she grabbed the utensils. Kael noticed her awkward phrasing. Clearly, the Princess wasn’t in her right mind because of what happened.

If it was an anime, Kael was sure he would be seeing smoke coming out of her head right now.

It was Lavinia’s side he had never seen before, and… he wanted to see more of it.

“You know…”

He began.

“I love women who get jealous.”

“I am not jealous!”

Lavinia countered without turning around.

“Hmm? I didn’t say I was talking about you.

I was just declaring my love for women who easily get jealous, makes me feel wanted and loved.”

“W-Why are you even telling me that!? Just go freshen up and prepare for lunch! You also have to train after this!”

“Right…”

Kael nodded with a smile.

The stuttering Lavinia was much cuter than he was expecting.

’She is definitely jealous.’

Vitaria, who was seeing everything from the Sanctuary, commented with a playful grin.

’Indeed.’

Igni nodded as well. Even the ever-so-responsible Dragon seemed to be enjoying this.

’She reminds me of Cirri.’

Vitaria commented, and in an instant—

’What does that mean!?’

Cirri, who was currently floating in the lake together with Nyrri, rose up.

’When have I been jealous, you foolish Fox!?’

She questioned.

’Hmm? Are you saying you don’t get jealous?’

Vitaria grinned.

’Of course I don’t! Why would I be jealous!?’

’Alright then~’

Vita just shrugged as she then turned towards Igni and—

’Big Brother Igni~

I wish to fly, let me ride you~’

She spoke as she rubbed her face with Igni’s body.

And just then—

’Stay away! I was his first Sister! I will get the ride first!’

Cirri was already sitting on her brother’s back, and the Fox just shook her head and chuckled with a condescending look on her face.

’How very predictable~’

With Imperia being outside together with Kael, the Fox was truly unstoppable.

She could bully whoever she wanted without any worries.

It was truly the best~
