--- Chapter 526 ---

In the arena, Mu Xi and Xu Xiaoyu stood opposite each other, surrounded by the students of Grade Two, Class One, who had quickly gathered to watch the unexpected duel with keen curiosity.

Even Wu Zhangkong, who had received Xing Lan's rather gentle warning earlier, had silently taken a spot in the back of the stands to observe the fight.

'Mu Xi, right? Let me see just how impressive you are...' He was genuinely curious to see the actual strength of a child brought by a Title Douluo to a small, unknown institution like Eastsea Academy.

"Who do you think will win, Xiao Yuan?" Ouyang Zixin asked Han Yuan as they sat side by side on the wooden bench.

Ye Yingluo perked up her ears, leaning in secretly. She had been dying to ask about the strikingly handsome silver-haired boy ever since he arrived alongside Mu Xi, but she hadn't dared to ask in Xing Lan's presence.

'Mu Xi, this girl introduced this boy as her awesome younger brother... So, he must be pretty remarkable himself, right?' Ye Yingluo mused, catching herself staring at his calm face a second too long as a faint warmth crept into her cheeks.

Ye Yingluo couldn't help it. Even though she appeared aloof and cold, she had always been a sucker for good looks.

"Seven to three," Han Yuan answered casually, resting his chin lazily on his palm.

"Oh? That boy actually has a three-in-ten chance against Xiao Xi?" Xing Lan commented, a raised eyebrow showing her mild surprise.

She knew her first disciple's cultivation and strength, but it seemed she must have severely underestimated Xu Xiaoyu's potential.

Han Yuan shook his head gently with a faint, amused smile. "No... that's not what I meant, Auntie."

"I mean Xu Xiaoyu will break seven of his bones in three seconds... and that's only if Sister Mu Xi holds back enough."

"..."

Whether it was Xing Lan, Ouyang Zixin, or Ye Yingluo, all three of them froze, turning to stare at Han Yuan in jaw-dropping disbelief.

Back on the open field, Mu Xi stared at the overconfident Xu Xiaoyu and warned, "Xiaoyu, it would be best if you went all out from the very beginning."

"I'm worried you'll end up stuck in bed for months otherwise," She added with sincere concern—though it sounded like pure mockery to Xu Xiaoyu's ears.

Xu Xiaoyu's face darkened as his Ice Staff released a faint, icy-cold white mist. Two bright yellow spirit rings rose behind him. "Mu Xi, you're far too arrogant!" He snapped sternly.

"I am going to show you the true power of Xu Xiaoyu!"

"First Spirit Skill: Ice Wheel!"

At Xu Xiaoyu's shout, the icy mist condensed into a sharp, spinning disk of solid ice that whistled through the air directly toward Mu Xi.

Mu Xi watched the incoming projectile and didn't even bother summoning her Martial Soul, merely drawing upon the scarlet lightning tied to her core.

"Thunder... crush!" She reached into the air and clenched her fist.

Zzzt! Boom!

Scarlet lightning crackled furiously across her skin, coating her fair hand as she caught the spinning ice wheel dead in its tracks.

Mu Xi inspected the ice wheel resting in her palm for a split second before crushing it into fine powder. "Too weak, too brittle... and most importantly, far too slow."

"This..." Xu Xiaoyu's eyes widened in sheer shock.

"Dance of Gladius..." Mu Xi exhaled softly, a faint roaring rumble echoing from her throat. She grasped the scarlet electricity and condensed it into a glowing longsword. "Here I come, Xiaoyu."

"Prepare yourself!"

Xu Xiaoyu didn't dare hold back any longer. He immediately activated his second spirit skill, forcing the surrounding cold spirit energy to form a protective barrier around him.

He stacked the skill repeatedly, erecting a massive, five-meter-thick ice wall between himself and Mu Xi.

Unfazed by the massive barrier, Mu Xi blurred forward at blinding speed, leaving a scorched trail of scarlet electricity behind her.

'She is unbelievably fast! Is this level of explosive speed really achievable by an eleven-year-old?!' Wu Zhangkong focused his Purple Demon Eyes, trying to track her movement, utterly stunned by her acceleration.

Even if he used the Ghost Shadow Perplexing Steps, he doubted he could match her raw burst of speed in a straight line. She wasn't merely running at this point. She was basically bypassing air resistance, zapping through space like a bolt of lightning.

"Shield Breaker..." Mu Xi murmured, executing a clean diagonal slash with her lightning longsword.

SLASH!

"Y-You've got to be kidding me... She hasn't even summoned her Martial Soul yet!" Xu Xiaoyu watched in horror as his thick ice walls were sliced in half like a hot knife through butter.

Before he could react further, Mu Xi materialized directly above his head, her eyes flashing with playful crimson light. "Take this!"

Dispersing her sword, she delivered a clean, sweeping kick straight up to his chin.

BANG!

"Fuck—!" Xu Xiaoyu felt his vision go completely dark as he was launched backward out of the field. He made an arc and fell into a nearby bush. His body twitched slightly as residual scarlet arcs pulsed across his skin.

"I win! Peace!" Mu Xi glanced at the twitching boy in the bushes and held up two fingers in a cheerful peace sign to the audience.

However, not a single person in the crowd could utter a word. They stared at the crimson-haired girl in stunned silence.

"..." Wu Zhangkong was completely speechless.

"..." Ye Yingluo stood frozen.

"..." Ouyang Zixin covered her mouth in shock.

"Sigh... the power gap is just too ridiculous," Han Yuan shook his head, sighing helplessly. Yet, deep inside, he was proud. After all, Mu Xi was taught by him.

Xing Lan looked over at the poor boy lying in the bush, her lips twitching subtly. "Well, at least your prediction didn't come true..."

"If she actually broke his bones, I'm afraid he'd be bedridden for the rest of the year."

"I'll go patch him up," Han Yuan said, rising from the wooden bench and walking over to Xu Xiaoyu. He extended his hand, absorbing the lingering electric shock before injecting a tiny thread of Life Gold essence into his body to speed up his recovery.

Thankfully, Mu Xi had pulled her strength at the final second. Otherwise, they would have been calling an emergency ambulance.

A moment later, the group gathered around Xu Xiaoyu as he lay on the grass.

"Is he... going to be okay?" Mu Xi asked somewhat nervously. She hadn't actually intended to break her classmate.

Han Yuan rolled his eyes at her. "What do you think? I've already cleared the residual energy and healed him."

"He should be waking up right about... now."

Sure enough, Xu Xiaoyu's eyelids twitched open. He looked around in a daze for a second before his eyes locked onto Mu Xi's face, and he instantly curled up like a terrified shrimp.

"Ahhh! Don't kill me!" Xu Xiaoyu covered his head with both arms, trembling violently.

"..."

Everyone immediately cast an exasperated glance at Mu Xi.

Mu Xi scratched her reddened cheeks, looking away and even whistling innocently. "Well... he was being so arrogant and annoying earlier..."

"I was just trying to teach him a quick lesson!"

"Hmph! A lifetime lesson, you mean?" Xing Lan knocked Mu Xi over the head, looking very much infuriated. "You knew full well he wasn't your match, yet you still dragged him into a fight?!"

"Hehe..." Mu Xi giggled somewhat innocently.

"Don't 'hehe' me!" Xing Lan gave her another firm swat, making the crimson-haired girl yelp in faked agony.

"Ow! Uugh... Fine, I'm sorry, okay?!" Mu Xi fake-cried, rubbing her head.

'You can't fool anyone with those fake tears, Mu Xi!' Even Ouyang Zixin was utterly speechless by her friend's shameless performance.

After a few minutes, Xu Xiaoyu finally regained his composure, and the surrounding crowd of students also gradually dispersed back to their classes.

However, upon calmly listening to Han Yuan explain that their purpose in coming was actually to meet his younger sister, Xu Xiaoyu's face turned uglier than if he were crying.

He slammed his fist into the ground, looking completely aggrieved. "You wild woman! Why the hell did you beat me up then?! You should have just said you wanted to meet my sister from the start!"

"Damn you!"

He, Xu Xiaoyu, had never felt so utterly wronged in his entire life!

"Um... Brother Xu, I apologize on Sister Xi's behalf," Han Yuan spoke up politely, knowing the timing was a bit awkward. "Is it still alright for me to visit your sister?"

"This..." Xu Xiaoyu gritted his teeth, glaring at Mu Xi with a mix of lingering fury and deep-seated terror before turning back to Han Yuan. "Fine! You can!"

"I'll bring you straight to my house!"

"Though... Mu Xi isn't allowed to step a foot inside!"

"WHAT?! WHY CAN'T I GO?!" Mu Xi pouted, protesting loudly.

Xu Xiaoyu snorted indignantly, standing his ground firmly. "Agree to that condition, or I won't let any of you anywhere near my sister!"

"Fine. Sister Xi, you can stay back at the villa later," Han Yuan decided on the spot, leaving Mu Xi frozen in utter disbelief. "It would just be Auntie visiting Xu Family and me."

"Uuu... this is unfair..." Mu Xi mumbled, knowing she was in the wrong and had no choice but to accept her punishment.

Xing Lan rubbed her temples, letting out a long, helpless sigh. 'It seems I really need to teach this girl some proper etiquette... If this continues, is she just going to beat up anyone who isn't Xiao Yuan?'
