Chapter 715: Chapter 703: Marrying a Rich Man (6)

"Ah—" Eleanor Bishop jumped, startled by the man who had suddenly rushed over. She looked at Archie Lockwood in a panic.

Seeing that too many people were gathering around, Owen Miller furiously grabbed Eleanor Bishop, preparing to drag her through the crowd. "What are you spacing out for, you bitch? Come with me, now!"

Eleanor Bishop’s first instinct was to resist, but when her gaze met Archie Lockwood’s deep, dark eyes, she froze in fear.

So, she could only let Owen Miller drag her away.

Archie Lockwood watched the man lead Eleanor Bishop away, not even putting up a fight. His eyes grew cold, and his hands, hanging at his sides, slowly clenched into fists. ’It seems she really has sunk as low as she can go.’

’To get involved with a man like that.’

"Dad, is that pretty lady going to be okay?" Shirley Lockwood asked quietly, turning and tugging on Archie Lockwood’s arm in concern.

At her words, Archie Lockwood’s clenched fists slowly relaxed. He looked down at Shirley Lockwood and warned in a cold voice, "Whatever happens to her has nothing to do with us. If you ever meet a woman like her, remember to stay far, far away. You must never let that kind of woman latch onto you."

Shirley Lockwood glared at Archie Lockwood, displeased. "How can you be like that, Dad? You don’t have a shred of compassion." With that, she ran toward the mall’s exit.

"Rory, get back here!"

But Shirley Lockwood ignored Archie Lockwood and dashed out of the mall. The moment she was outside, however, she froze, completely stunned. A few seconds later, she snapped out of it, clutching her head in terror and screaming, "Dad! Dad, help! Something’s happened!"

Archie Lockwood was already near the exit, so he ran out the moment he heard Shirley Lockwood’s scream. Seeing her cowering on the ground with her head in her hands, he immediately bent down, scooped her up, and asked anxiously, "What is it? What’s wrong?"

Shirley Lockwood felt a wave of relief the moment she saw her dad. She looked up, pointed into the distance, and said frantically, "It’s not me! It’s not me, Dad! It’s the pretty lady, over there! You have to go save her!"

Following Shirley Lockwood’s finger, Archie Lockwood saw Eleanor Bishop on the ground, being kicked by the same man from before.

Archie Lockwood set Shirley Lockwood down. With a grim expression, he said in a cold voice, "Rory, go get Howard Rhodes and the others."

"Yes, sir, Dad!" Shirley Lockwood replied with an excited salute.

With that, Shirley Lockwood trotted off.

Once Shirley Lockwood was gone, Archie Lockwood looked back at the scene unfolding in the distance. He casually rolled his wrists, a sinister, bone-chilling smile touching his lips.

He strode toward them. When he reached them, Archie Lockwood’s cold gaze fell upon the man. "I’m giving you three minutes," he said, his lips barely moving, "to explain your relationship to me."

"Heh, who the hell do you think you are, sticking your nose in my business?" Owen Miller stopped kicking Eleanor Bishop and sneered with contempt.

Archie Lockwood glanced down, tapping his watch. "You have three minutes."

"The fuck? Are you nuts? Why the hell would I need to explain our relationship to you?"

"You do," Archie Lockwood said, looking up with a cold, wicked smile. "Because in a few moments, it will be your bargaining chip for staying alive."

Owen Miller clenched his fists and let out a vicious, sneering laugh. "Motherfucker. In all of Jevon, no one has ever dared to talk tough to me, Owen Miller! You’ve got some balls, kid! You wanna know my relationship with this bitch? Is that it? Fine, I’ll tell you! This bitch is my woman, and I can beat her however the hell I want! It’s none of your fucking business!"
