The moment Lucy finished speaking, the entire hall plunged into darkness.

The sudden power outage startled everyone, and a clamor erupted throughout the room.

Tiana Grayson was terrified as well. She clutched Leo Joyce’s clothes tightly. "What’s happening?"

"Don’t be afraid. It’ll be over in a moment." Leo Joyce wrapped one arm tightly around her waist and pressed her head into his chest, chuckling softly.

"Mmm..." Tiana murmured, but her delicate brows remained furrowed with unease.

"Whoa! Everyone, look! What is that?"

"It’s so beautiful!"

"Yeah, it’s absolutely gorgeous!"

...Hearing the gasps of amazement all around, Tiana lifted her head from Leo’s embrace. A vast, starry sky was projected on the ceiling above them, and within it were the images of two people—her and Leo.

She looked at Leo in delighted surprise. "It’s so beautiful."

"Do you like it?" Leo Joyce asked softly, his smile full of adoration.

"I do. I love it. Thank you, Leo."

Leo Joyce released Tiana’s waist and gently ruffled her hair. He then turned and took a microphone and a bouquet of roses from Lucy.

Tiana Grayson’s eyes grew misty as she watched Leo, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Leo Joyce handed the roses to Tiana, then glanced at the surrounding guests with a roguish smile. He looked back down at her, his lips curved in an adoring expression. "Tiana, you said I owed you a proper confession. You even said you wouldn’t marry me so easily without one. You silly girl, the whole world knows that I, Leo Joyce, love Tiana Grayson. The whole world knows that I’ve waited five long years for Tiana Grayson. The whole world knows, yet somehow, you’re the only one who doesn’t. Tell me, aren’t you a silly little fool? I’ve confessed to you so many times. I’ve announced to the entire world that I, Leo Joyce, love Tiana Grayson and that I’ll never marry anyone else in this lifetime. But you never seemed to hear me. That’s okay, though. Since you want to hear it with your own ears, since you want me to give you a proper confession one more time, then I’ll give you a proper confession right now."

"Leo..." Tiana Grayson was so moved, tears streamed down her face as she choked out his name.

Leo Joyce raised his hand to wipe away her tears. "Tiana Grayson, today, in front of everyone here and all the reporters, I’m going to give you a proper confession." As he spoke, Leo looked toward the crowd of onlookers.

By now, some of the guests in the crowd had already raised their cameras and started filming. The lights in the hall had also returned to their full brightness.

"Tiana Grayson, listen carefully. I love you. I really, really, truly love you. From the moment you walked into my life, I’ve been uncontrollably in love with you."

Tiana was so overwhelmed she couldn’t speak. Listening to Leo’s words, she began to sob. ’I thought he wasn’t going to give me a proper confession,’ she thought, ’but it turns out he was secretly preparing all of this for me.’

"Alright, stop crying. Today is supposed to be a happy day for us." Leo Joyce’s eyes were red-rimmed as well. He smiled and raised a hand to wipe away Tiana’s tears. "Didn’t you tell me once that the reason we broke up was because our love wasn’t deep enough, and that’s why we separated so easily? Well, I’m telling you now, I love you more than enough. I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with you and grow old together. Tiana Grayson, are you ready? If you feel the same way, if you’re ready too... then marry me! I swear I will spend my entire life doting on you, loving you, cherishing you, and protecting you. I’ll celebrate with you when you’re happy and grieve with you when you’re sad. I’ll be your punching bag when you’re angry and share your burdens when you’re tired. In this lifetime, I will hold your hand and walk with you to the ends of the earth and give you all the love and tenderness I possess. I swear I will only ever love you!" As he spoke, Leo Joyce dropped to one knee and took Tiana’s hand. As if by magic, he produced a ring. "Tiana, marry me!"

"Yes." Tiana Grayson gazed at the ring and nodded through her tears.

Leo Joyce quickly slipped the ring onto Tiana’s finger. He then sprang to his feet, scooped her into his arms, and spun her around exuberantly. "Tiana, we’re going to be happy. We’re going to be so, so happy."

"Yes, we are. We’re going to be so happy."

"From now on, you’re my woman. No one will ever take you away from me!"
