Chapter 4977 Touring Aila's Palace
Chapter 4977 Touring Aila's Palace
The Rosy Cotton Rabbits nearly went extinct in the First Haven World, barely protected by Aila's Cherryweave Family. She couldn't understand how there were some in this isolated place?
Davis chuckled, "It seems that Zenova ate a Rosy Cotton Rabbit meat during one of the feasts they served her during her stay in that capital, and when she noticed your bloodline recently, she mentioned it to Yilla, and Yilla passed the information to Mingzhi, which led the farm to be found."
"…" Aila was dumbfounded, not knowing what to say.
"If others weren't so busy with the recent events, they would've gone to get you one quick. Still, we don't need to disturb any of them since we can go get one ourselves. What do you think? Up for a small adventure?"
Aila couldn't hide her smile as she gazed at him with her amethyst eyes, "I'd love it~"
Going out together during courtship was something that she dreamed of. How could she not agree?
"Perfect." Davis nodded, "You need to thank Zenova later."
He knew Zenova was trying to fit in a bit and doing stuff that others find mildly wild but also amusing. Her efforts have been so far good, as she received wide acknowledgment from most, especially with Natalya's punishment. Nonetheless, she appeared to have finally made a mistake.
While he stayed with his mother, she told him that Zenova's words were a factor in making her misunderstand the door-closing incident and apologized to him again.
Davis told her he didn't mind.
He did feel it was disheartening, but in the end, it wasn't like he was going to cut ties over it. He only thought of ways to mend the relationship before Claire brought that topic back up and apologized frantically, only then going to sleep and allowing him to feel like a son again.
He didn't feel like it was a big issue to be bothered about, considering he also uttered words that any woman would misunderstand.
As for Zenova, he was speechless.
Davis instantly knew Zenova was talking about Myria when she mentioned that to Claire.
He didn't feel angry over it either, knowing it couldn't be helped since Zenova was the type to tease and bully a person, no matter who it was. This was expected from her. She didn't even leave the mother-in-law alone, already starting to tease her after a few meetings.
He was only worried that this would affect Claire and Zenova's relationship, so he asked his mother to forgive her in his stead.
In fact, he felt somewhat proud of Zenova since she didn't try any methods to influence Claire to get on her side. She treated everyone equally- lesser than her but not to a disrespectful level. She was starting to fit in using her own standards, which was fine with him and even felt this was how it should be since he didn't want Zenova to lose her prideful self.
Although he didn't tell this matter to Myria, he still intended to warn Zenova and get revenge over this matter- in bed, of course.
"I will… but let me first show you around the house. I waited for this from yesterday~"
Aila grabbed his arm again and walked him around.
She showed him a tour of the house, and Davis was at a loss after the tour as he stood at the entrance, about to leave for the capital outside the sanctuary.
He paused, glancing at Aila without using Heart Intent, but no matter how he checked, she didn't seem to be aware.
He turned to look back into the mansion as his soul sense spread.
This palace consisted of several interconnected pavilions, and large open windows allowed fresh air and natural light to flow freely through the rooms. Silk curtains of soft pastel colors swayed gently within the breeze, making the palace appear quite beautiful.
This was all fine.
But in nearly every room, there was something strange.
In a certain semi-open pavilion facing the eastern courtyard, there was a swing made from spiritwood vines that naturally bend and rarely break. There were seats placed there, woven from cloud silk and relevant cherry blossom threads with the appropriate design. There was even a tiny formation that summoned drifting petals and a soft breeze that moved the swing on its own.
In another pavilion, there was a circular bed shaped like a blooming lotus, clearly shaped after the Serene Spring Cherry Lotus. However, he found one side emitted cool yin energy and the other warm yang energy, and the cushions were petal-like, which adjusted to body shape automatically.
In another pavilion, there was an open pool fed by the spring water from the Serene Spring Cherry Lotus, only closed by floating silk veils.
In most pavilions, there was an open-air lounging area overlooking the garden before the building. There were reclining seats shaped like petals, but there was a damned soundproofing formation, and the railings were low, matching the height for Aila's height.
There was even a horse furniture that swayed like a see-saw in one of the back rooms.
Davis nearly burst out laughing and crying.
Bylai went too far!
But now, even Aila didn't appear to realize that this place was basically made for her to be served as a grand dish.
He didn't know whether to laugh or cry as he saw his Aila looking at him innocently, as though asking the final verdict on the design of the house.
Davis put one of his hands back and moved his other hand to his chin, appearing enigmatic, "I thought it could be outside, but it seems like it will undoubtedly take place here."
"…"
Aila's smile widened as she got the meaning, but still didn't realize what these furniture were for.
"Alright, let's go~"
She grabbed his arm and allowed Davis to take her away, feeling her heart pound with excitement.
'It's been a long time… really, really long since I had husband all to myself….' Aila inwardly thought, 'Elder sister Tia, I feel sorry, but I cannot lose this opportunity…!'
