Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4865 Underlying Cause?

Chapter 4865  Underlying Cause?

'Hmm… I got carried away teasing Ragoon, but whatever…'

Davis sat on a rooftop, his figure concealed with his purest form of death energy he could harness.

He was still in the same street, but he was waiting for Jiayi Crystalveil to appear. Upon further investigation, it seemed like she didn't come here first, but her entourage did. On the other hand, she secretly went to the mountains to undertake her tribulation to become an Autarch.

She didn't even tell anyone where she went.

It wasn't apparent until the Empyrean Tribulation that occurred two days ago.

Information spread, and the three Young Masters came here fast to court her.

The Ruo Family, Yung Family, and Lute Family were the three families of the Dawn Triad. Davis was aware that the ownership of the Minor Realm and its core rotated between these three families, and right now, it was the Lute Family who possessed ownership, but in essence, the Minor Realm was split into three parts between these three powers as they maintained an equilibrium for millions of years.

'So the Ruo Family's backing is the Dawnbreaker Family of the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm, Yung Family's backing is the Hexadra Clan of the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm that I just left, and Lute Family's backing is the Tigerius Clan of the Sacred Tiger Upper Realm… interesting…'

Davis couldn't help but laugh.

Now that Jiayi Crystalveil became a wealthy merchant capable of influencing even major powers due to the sale and auction of Primarch Grade resources that he- the Davis Family gave to her for sale, she had become a celebrity among the business organizations.

But it also came with bad names as she gained the title the Demonic Merchant of Death and even had been falsely accused of sleeping with him, the Divine Emperor of Death. However, she seemed to have proved otherwise during her questioning with the Heaven's Warriors and her own power, the True Peak Emporium, with the use of karmic-yin tests that were basically virginity tests.

'A lady who cares for her propriety… uhh… I didn't think she would care since she seemed like the type to sell her soul if it could make a huge profit, but it seems like I might've been mistaken…'

Davis felt a bit bad for making her go through such stuff, but he still needed her to do business.

Their initial business relationship had proven quite useful, and Dalila had made a list of treasures that they could use for her to purchase, so all that was left was for them to be delivered to their home.

Nonetheless, Jiayi Crystalveil's current status and wealth all suddenly made her a great catch. Even the three major ruling powers of the Three Upper Realms intended to court her hand in marriage and bring her to consolidate their power, not to mention get their hands on those sweet, sweet Primarch Grade resources that she might possess in reserve.

Although Davis didn't know the full extent of the True Peak Emporium's coffers, to buy the Primarch Grade resources from him, he knew they probably emptied at least half their entire wealth. They had fully invested in Jiayi Crystalveil's plan to 'siphon resources of the Divine Emperor of Death', making her the brightest among the younger generation.

It just so happens that the spatial vortex they used to exit the Elemental Dimension Secret Realm exits here.

And it just so happens Jiayi Crystalveil had a marriage agreement with Akarr Ruo, which the Dawnbreaker Family of the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm wanted to take advantage of. Perhaps Jiayi Crystalveil might've also interacted with the two other Young Masters, who were also backed by the Hexadra Clan and Tigerius Clan, to court her.

Davis, who had studied the map of the Upper Realms and the maps he obtained here, didn't find this matter strange.

The Dawn Triad Minor Realm really was in the middle of these three Upper Realms.

To be precise, it was closer to the Sacred Tiger Upper Realm than the other two Upper Realms.

Then why was the Minor Realm named Dawn Triad, as if it were near the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm's Dawnbreaker Family?

That was because the one who found the Dawn Triad Minor Realm and became its first Realm Master approached the Dawnbreaker Family rather than the other two powers. Moreover, because the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm was a prosperous realm both in terms of wealth, energy, and power, they had far more reach and everyone liked to deal with them than the evil hydras, who were shameless, or the lucky tigers, who kept siphoning off all their wealth.

With the True Peak Emporium also having its headquarters in the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm, the people who had eyes knew where to go.

Davis could see this Minor Realm's entire history playing out in his eyes.

But what he wanted to see was something else entirely, his gaze constantly scanning the street and his senses occasionally pulsing throughout the city.

'Obviously, a merchant like Jiayi Crystalveil or any other merchant can't intrude or influence my fate to a degree that will cause us to pause here in this Minor Realm… so, who is it?'

He eyed the three Young Masters but didn't feel anything special from them.

After coming this far, or rather close to the end, Davis felt each of his movements would have an enormous effect on fate, so he felt he must be extra careful if he were to suddenly appear in a new environment when he had no part in traveling there or possessed the intent of entry.

Since he suddenly found himself here with Fairy Qiyra Darkstar's excuse being that she ran out of fuel- astral essence, he thought something was in store for him here.

He waited- waited until the sun set.

He was just about to head back to his room, which he knew Ragoon Crystalveil would've transformed into a luxurious room with top amenities and food, maybe even beauties, when he suddenly saw a figure in the air near the walls.

She crossed through the city-wide barrier. It was unable to stop her.

Her speed was so fast that the wall guards were greatly alarmed, but seeing the figure stop above the True Peak Emporium, they understood and calmed down.

Hovering in the air was a lovely, luxuriously dressed, jade-robed, crimson-haired beauty.

She possessed high, gentle cheekbones, complemented by a gracefully curved jawline. Her slender, arched brows formed an enchanting pair of almond-shaped, golden eyes. A straight and delicate nose sat perfectly above her lips that curved at the corners, giving her the visage of a confident and alluring expression.

But her bearing was one of cold elegance, full of awareness, and her semi-transparent crimson veil hid her features below her vixen eyes.

A commotion instantly erupted below as people appeared outside.

"Congratulations, Fairy Jiayi Crystalveil, for breaking to the Autarch Stage!"

"Congratulations!"

"Congratulations!"

Many powers instantly came out of whatever rat holes that were in the streets, with the most prominent being the three Young Masters with gifts stacked and carried by their servants on a big plate the size of a fountain.

"…"

Davis's brows twitched on seeing this scene.
