Chapter 4863 Linfall City
Chapter 4863 Linfall City
Minor Realms having a Realm Core also set them apart from a celestial body.
He finally understood why the heaven and earth energy was thin here, but compared to the Minor Realms in the Lower Realm Space, it was extremely better, even capable of supporting many more Empyreans. The only issue was that his tribulation already started thinning out the heaven and earth energy.
People haven't realized it yet, but he could sense the desolate air in the atmosphere spreading very slowly. It might take months before they realize that the heaven and earth energy is thinning out.
'Moreover, since this is a Minor Realm, Exalts surely wouldn't be staying here…'
Davis imagined.
He also wouldn't pose trouble for the Minor Realm since he wasn't absorbing heaven and earth energy anyway. If he needed to, he would need to force it through Heart Intent and Life Laws due to being a powerful Anarchic Divergent, but it had gotten so much worse after becoming a Desolate Divergent. He would need more energy just to absorb heaven and earth energy, making it not worth it.
'Hmm?"
While stepping out of the shop, Davis noticed a commotion in the distance.
He couldn't help but smirk as he saw a banner before referencing the map again.
'Of course… this Linfall City is the only city in the surrounding two hundred light-year radius to have a True Peak Emporium Branch, making it one of the profitable cities in the entire Dawn Triad Minor Realm. The Ironspine Mountain Range also spanned for eighty light-years, making it the most terrifying place and also a prime location for breeding magical beasts out in the wild.'
Hence, the cities along the foot of the mountain served as footholds against magical beast tides, but Linfall City was one of the most thriving cities due to the presence of the True Peak Emporium.
Davis made his way towards the True Peak Emporium while ignoring the commotion outside.
He stepped into the five-story building, wondering if he could somehow meet Jiayi Crystalveil. There was no way she would be here, but if he could send a message and get her to supply and sell goods and services, it would be greatly helpful to his family.
He couldn't expose the place they were staying, so this Minor Realm's branch would be a good place for them to meet.
"Fuck! If I see you again, I'll tear you apart."
A furious voice echoed behind Davis, and someone bumped into him as he was browsing the goods on the shining front shelf, causing him to turn around and look at a eight meter tall man who appeared to be some kind of fey.
Davis couldn't be bothered to make some commotion here and made way, allowing the huge black-robed man to pass through as he clicked his tongue against him in displeasure.
"You prick, move out of the way if you don't wanna die." A lackey didn't forget to warn him.
Davis watched them pass before walking to the reception. "What kind of goods have we got here?"
The receptionist was a man. He looked quite handsome, but his cultivation was low, only at the Level Four Immortal King Stage. He wryly smiled, "Respected patron, you seem quite unshaken despite facing the Young Master of one of the Dawn Triads. Can you tell me where your esteemed self is from?"
Davis raised his brows, "Is the True Peak Emporium afraid of these local clowns?"
"…!"
The receptionist jumped in shock, afraid that someone had heard their conversation, but fortunately, the lobby was empty at the moment. He leaned in and whispered, "Respected customer, please do not make irresponsible comments. Although the True Peak Emporium is not afraid, I'm just a worker with a family to take care of."
"Right…" Davis's expression softened, "I won't make it difficult for you. Bring the person who has the highest authority in this branch to me. I'll be waiting in a private room. Assign me one."
"…"
The receptionist looked speechless.
However, he helplessly did as Davis said, assigning him a private room before handing over the key.
As for whether this unknown person was worth the highest authority's time, the highest authority will decide and treat him accordingly, but it wasn't like he wasn't worried, since his job would be in jeopardy if he harped for the highest authority every time someone demanded it.
"A private room is assigned, but please help me out in knowing your true cultivation and background."
"…" Davis contemplated writing his title and watching the receptionist's reaction, but felt it wasn't worth it.
Jiayi Crystalveil had already left a few methods for them to come into contact, so he wasn't in any hurry to get hold of her. He was just hoping to give it a try, wondering if Jiayi Crystalveil was suddenly here. After all, she would've also just exited the secret realm and wouldn't have made it back to her home.
"Nevermind then…"
Davis clutched the key and walked off, leaving the receptionist shaking his head.
"Another show off…" He muttered, sighing in relief.
He didn't know when he would get replaced at all, as many would like to work in the True Peak Emporium.
Davis arrived on the third floor, where private rooms were plentiful. He walked into his room, unceremoniously closed it, and researched the maps he bought more, learning more about where he was and how to make it home even without Qiyra Darkstar's help.
However, he didn't feel the need to leave without Qiyra's help since it would at least take many years, even with how close he was to the new settlement.
Feeling bored, he walked to the window and looked out, only to see the commotion kicking up again with three groups clashing.
Even without someone having to explain it to him, Davis was aware that these three groups belonged to the Dawn Triad. Each of these three powers had a backing from an Upper Realm power, allowing them to extract the resources of this Minor Realm without having to get their hands dirty.
With tea in his hand, Davis took sips as he enjoyed watching the trash-talk by the three Young Masters, growing increasingly amused-
*Booom!~*
-until someone destroyed his window and came crashing into his room.
Davis's head turned as he saw a white-robed young man stand up as he wiped the blood off his mouth with his sleeves.
'Fate just won't let me sit still…?' Davis blinked.
