Chapter 4860 Leaving The Hydra Upper Realm?
Chapter 4860 Leaving The Hydra Upper Realm?
"I broke through…"
Lucian exhaled, mist emerging from his mouth as though he were a fire-breathing dragon in a cold winter. He checked his cultivation and saw that what should've been a violent breakthrough was tame and silent, all because of being tempered by heavenly water.
Otherwise, he would've been in for a world of hurt, needing to take ice pills and many other medications to stop himself from going berserk.
"The first first-generation Empyrean Divergent in the Davis Family…"
Davis watched over his son's breakthrough, rubbing his chin with interest and amusement. He still remembered refusing to make Divergents when he had just become one, but now, his family was producing powerful Divergents one after another.
He didn't know where exactly this was going, but since it was inevitable, he didn't try to stop it, nor did he want to stop it.
Davis opened his mouth, his voice firm, "Lucian, you need to be extra careful from now on. All of the records we collected on Divergents who possess your Solar Apocalypse Physique end at the peak of the Immortal Emperor Stage. You would also need to look for a suitable Exalt Grade Manual if you want to enter the Exalt Stage. The family will help, but only you can decide on the path you will take."
Lucian had just opened his eyes and heard his father advise him.
He digested his father's words for a moment before nodding, "I understand, Father. When should I head out for an adventure?"
"Hmm, it's difficult at the moment. We'll see if Fairy Qiyra can take us back first."
Davis looked in a particular direction, and Lucian followed suit.
They only saw a spatial wall blocking their view.
Qiyra Darkstar had erected it. Perhaps fearing her traveling method would be seen through and taken advantage of, she had not allowed them to view the method she would use to refine the Peak-Level Transcendent Crystal Core in order to connect to the astral star.
They could tell she was a cautious person, which was reasonable in Lucian's opinion, considering his father was a Divergent among Divergents.
He glanced at his father as his lips curled, knowing no one could relax in front of him, but he could as his son, enjoying the glory.
"Don't be so smug. You just pushed Saffira away from you again by becoming an Empyrean."
Davis could sense what his son was feeling through his Heart Intent that had reached Level Three. It was even more clear, making him feel like he could grasp these emotions in a mist form and steal them. Regardless, he intentionally shot Lucian down, causing Lucian to come back to reality as his lips parted in dismay.
"What should I do?" He asked himself, knowing he had just made the hurdle higher for Saffira to get together with him, but it was inevitable.
Davis paused for a few moments, letting him think before he opened his mouth.
"If you really value her as your woman, then you should pause and aid her in her cultivation. It is also better to introduce an artificial ice-yin physique to her. With that kind of physique, you two could finally marry with no one harping that you're not a match for each other."
"…" Lucian couldn't care less about what other members thought, other than his own family members.
Instead, he focused on his father's words.
"I heard that father possesses annihilative heavenly yin?" He asked doubtfully.
"Oh?" Davis's brows raised, "Are you bold or do you want her to die accidentally?"
Without waiting for him to answer, Davis continued.
"The infusion of annihilative heavenly yin to Drake's wife succeeded because she was already the owner of a yin-attribute physique and had Drake. On the other hand, Saffira doesn't have a physique, nor is she a supreme genius. She would instantly turn into an ice-cold statue and shatter from being unable to bear the destructive force of the yin. Even if you aid her with your physique to offset the cold, the chances of her surviving are extremely low."
"I figured…" Lucian wryly smiled before he shook his head, "I'll eventually get to the answer we need for our future."
Davis nodded.
Some of his children were Empyreans now. It wasn't like he was going to cut them off, but he knew he must stop walking their hand or see them permanently relying on him and suppressing their own talents and capabilities.
He was aware that protection and paving the way, like doting parents, sometimes breeds complacency in the children.
Lucian closed his eyes and continued to stabilize his cultivation.
Fortunately, the refinement of the Peak-Level Transcendent Crystal Vein Core released heaven and earth energy into the surroundings, allowing Lucian to take advantage of it while Davis also took some sips.
He turned to look around and saw the ladies.
Jade Aurora, Ivy Aries, Nyoran, Nadija, Vereina, Illumina, and Rokushi Mirai were in a conversation. Having introduced themselves, they hit it off pretty nicely with the former recounting their experiences in the Time-Attributed Shard Region and the latter group recounting their experiences in the Nether Dimension.
Both parties were intrigued by each other's stories, and needless to say, Davis was too.
He walked over to Kronos Alistair, who found it hard to intrude into their conversation and had no choice but to stay away.
"What are you going to do from now on?"
"Obviously, I'll come with you." Kronos Alistair appeared speechless, "You can't possibly expect me to die with a True Deity looking everywhere for us. You can't abandon me. My wife helped you bring Illumina and the others here."
He shamelessly protested, causing Davis to laugh, "I won't object to you coming with us, but I won't let you anywhere near my family. Your powers are too wild."
"I won't misuse it." Kronos Alistair raised his hands, "I'm in no position to misuse it, considering I'm already an Anarchic Divergent. I presume if I continue to die and gain an incredible amount of karmic burden, I would eventually reach your level without a single rise in prowess and die miserably."
"True." Davis nodded, "You wouldn't even bring the Celestial Transcendent in your tribulation, as you would die to the Paragon Magical Beasts."
"…" Kronos Alistair inwardly cried.
Was his fate to be overshadowed by this menace?
It was true that the Divine Emperor of Death was chatting casually, but his insanely dense and dominating aura was no less terrifying than the time he had first faced him, perhaps even more exaggerated than before.
Even the ladies were quite terrified of him, the life-death aura from his breakthrough making sure to scream at them that they were not from the same world.
Only Illumina didn't seem affected, as she was already near the layer limit.
"Come."
At this moment, Davis and the others collectively heard Fairy Qiyra Darkstar's voice. They momentarily looked at each other, assessing that there weren't any anomalies in her voice before moving together. They passed through the spatial barrier and entered a multi-colored astral wind zone where a figure could be seen seated in the middle.
"Get into my astral spatial ring or be left behind."
Qiyra Darkstar simply said, causing Davis to shrug. He first took Calypsea's hand and entered. The rest hesitated for a moment before they followed suit.
The moment all of them entered, Qiyra Darkstar's figure turned translucent like she was a spirit. Her purple-black astral veins could be seen throughout her body before she transformed into a ray of light, each cell turning into energy, and shot upward.
Her body was actually disassembled entirely in this state, only existing as a form of astral energy.
Having already locked onto the icy star above, she made her way there, only to meet a realm-wide barrier blockade that the Realm Master can normally use.
However, without even pausing, she shot up faster and broke through it, leaving the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm as she made her way back to the designated meeting point.
