Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4772 Curing Fairy Thunderblaze's Poison

Chapter 4772  Curing Fairy Thunderblaze's Poison

Davis waved his hand, but he stopped, his expression turning somber as he didn't know how to treat Fairy Thunderblaze.

Should he continue acting or reveal that he had broke out long ago and watch her die slowly from the poison before ultimately saving her?

He guessed it would be fun to watch her expression turn into one of despair for all the transgressions she had caused against him. Even with the hurt he was going to cause her, he felt he was still being lenient.

After all, she had saved Evelynn once and brought her back safely, and helped him multiple times. Heck, even her charm had inadvertently helped him by saving him from Fairy Velvetmoon's ambush, which was the most dangerous since he hadn't been prepared to defend against even if his Will had been quite strong at that time.

He couldn't forget her contributions when punishing her accordingly, but more than anything, he realized he wasn't as angry at her as he initially was after being made to go through hell by Fairy Velvetmoon.

The latter did far worse than the former, or perhaps all the hatred had moved to the latter.

However, he wasn't playing a comparison game. He did intent to inflict a punishment that would and should make Fairy Thunderblaze regret all her actions. It was just- he didn't know how.

As he thought about it, Davis's expression increasingly turned unsightly, 'This woman is as stubborn as a rock, and her resolve is as cold as steel… once she knows I have broken free, she will never admit defeat or regret her actions but instead even try to commit suicide…'

For someone who had taken a powerful poison without any hesitation, he knew she was staking all of it in him to survive and return to her in one piece as her charmed lover. If things didn't go her way, he guessed she wouldn't be hopeful for the future and kill herself for failing to attain what she wanted so badly.

Davis took a deep breath as he recalled the way she interacted with him after charming him, knowing she was obsessed with him.

'First…'

Davis turned to look at Rioxys Plume, "You should look away."

"…"

Rioxys Plume blinked. She had already been informed of the strange relationship he shared with Fairy Thunderblaze. She turned around obediently, but secretly she licked her lips, thinking of a way to ease the hatred between her friend and Davis.

Still, she felt the most sensible thing to do was not to let her friend out of her life ring.

"Rioxys, when can I see my dear?" A voice echoed inside her from the life ring she possessed.

She injected her soul sense inside and summoned a projection of herself, seeing Fairy Velvetmoon kneel with her limbs tied up in a chair and her hands nailed to the armrest and feet nailed to the ground. The darkness rods that stabbed into her sealed her powers from fading out, but she appeared very obedient.

"Not now, he's very angry…" Rioxys Plume sighed inwardly before shaking her head at her, "You have only yourself to blame for finding yourself in this mess."

"I know… and I'm truly apologetic."

Fairy Velvetmoon bit her lips as she lowered her head with a guilty expression on her face. Her frail being could charm anyone into wanting to protect her, but the darkness rods allowed Rioxys Plume's mind to stay clear of influence.

"I didn't mean to force him… I was going to let him go once he poisons your drink. But he… he firmly fought against me… I have no words to say. I have wronged both of you, and death is the only way for me to repent, but…"

Tears flowed down her face, dripping onto her clothes and turning into a charm bead, "I adore you. I revere my master. But above all, I treasure and love him. I don't know what to do."

Rioxys Plume inwardly sighed again.

She recognized that her friend fell victim to her own powers and came to be willing to do whatever Davis said, but at the same time, she was still herself. Her loyalty towards her master, Grand Elder Catalyx, was also nearly unbreakable.

Rioxys Plume was aware that she was carrying an exploding talisman, but she also wanted to save her no matter what.

As she pondered what to do, she sensed a person had appeared behind her.

Fairy Thunderblaze's expression was serene behind the hint of pain. Blood flowed from her lips as it fell on the ground, unfrozen despite the long time that had passed. The poison pill within her rapidly tried to dissolve into poison essence, spreading all over her body.

Her body grew weaker as pain attacked her internal organs. Her gaze turned hazy, and within that blurry vision, she saw the blonde-haired, purple-robed man. A smile broke out on her face.

"Please don't tell me you quickly took me out…" She uttered, her voice hopeful and scared, unaware of the time passed outside the time-frozen space.

Abruptly, she felt her hand be grabbed and yanked over, causing her to fall into an embrace.

Before she could even react, a fierce lip locked onto hers, making her freeze.

*Gasp~*

Fairy Thunderblaze's breath hitched as those fierce lips pressed against her own. Her mind blanked for a heartbeat before an eruption of warmth surged around her body. This feeling was even more prominent as it surged into her throat.

It was life.

A gentle yet overwhelming radiant current of white life energy flowed from Davis's lips to hers. It swept through her body and meridians like the glow of spring, crashing against the poison essence that had already infiltrated her organs and flesh.

Her eyes widened in shock.

The poison essence that dissolved from the half-dissolved pill roared in response like a beast awakened, fierce and corrosive, but the life energy surged like a terrifying tide, suppressing the poison energy altogether as it made its way to the source and engulfed it.

"Mhmm~"

Fairy Thunderblaze whimpered into his mouth, unable to stop the wound from escaping as her knees buckled. Her fingers curled weakly into his robes as though gripping for life.

Davis didn't give her the chance to fall.

His arm tightened around her waist, keeping him steady while his soul force surged forth. A powerful suction coiled within her body like an unseen cyclone, gathering the dissolving poison pill.

This cold and corruptive mass was ripped from her body.

Fairy Thunderblaze gasped sharply into the kiss as she felt the half-dissolved poison pill leave her. Her eyes fluttered open, tears misting her lashes, her expression filled with half pain and half relief.

Davis broke the kiss for only a single breath as he spat out the poison pill to the ground beside them.

Its surface was bubbling with toxic runes, hissing as though resentful of being denied its kill. The air around it warped, life corroding at its mere presence.

Fairy Thunderblaze shivered at the sight of it. She couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if it had fully dissolved in her even though she knew…

Davis's gaze hardened.

Without hesitation, he flung the writhing, dissolving poison remnant into the distant chasm using only soul force. The moment it touched open air, the poison aura released like a starving beast, corroding the environment with violent screeches before vanishing into the abyss below.

Fairy Thunderblaze swayed, suddenly lightheaded. Her legs trembled, but before she could fully register her near-collapse, Davis's lips were on hers again.

This time, the kiss was gentler… yet deeper. A continuous stream of life energy enveloped her insides like a blossoming lotus of warmth, soothing every wound and restoring her vitality. It shone like a luminous tide, the pure vitality dragging the poison essence out of her blood, her flesh, even her bones. Everywhere it washed past, pain retreated, devoured like mist beneath sunlight.

Fairy Thunderblaze felt peaceful, but her cheeks flushed violently as her tongue was in a dance with his. She couldn't believe he was giving her a deep kiss while trying to cure her of the poison.

Her hands, uncertain and shy, lifted and pressed lightly against his chest, not to push him away but to hold him firm. Her eyelids drooped as she felt the bruised organs inside her mending, the poison scars fading, the painful heat turning into comforting warmth.

From feeling pain to starting to feel good- this alarmed her.

"Mmh~"

However, only a soft, helpless sound escaped her throat.

Within seconds, her body leaned fully into him, weak but trusting, trembling within the intimate hold while the healing warmth washed over and over again.

She couldn't tell how long had passed from this wondrous moment before he drew his head back by a fraction, his sapphire eyes looking at her with a charmed yet worried glint in his eyes.

"Are you fine?" He asked, soothing even her soul.

Fairy Thunderblaze's heart skipped a beat, her breath mingling with his. She felt like a baby in his arms, making her feel at a loss for words. Yet, at the same time, she hurriedly checked the charm ability and noted that there were no cracks on it or anything strange. It made her wonder if no battles had happened in the mountain, but setting aside those thoughts, she threw herself at him and hugged him.

"I'm so glad you're alive… I'm so glad you're still mine…"

"I'm so glad I could save you too…"

Davis also hugged her, thoroughly taking advantage of her affection as he felt like a villain.

"But don't forget that you are mine before I am yours." He turned his face around, once again stealing her crimson lips.

"You... you're still kissing me fiercely..."

Fairy Thunderblaze complained, but her expression was filled with an arduous obsession, her gaze filled with an intoxicated glint.

'What kind of face are you making, you unscrupulous vixen? So be it… I'll tame you into my obedient wife but keep you away from my heart until you apologize and beg to be a part of the harem…"

Davis firmly held the back of her head and plundered her amazingly delicious lips, making her whimper from being left breathless, which left Rioxys Plume feeling awkward that she had to take her leave.
