Chapter 4683: Niera’s Spirit Bloodline
Chapter 4683: Niera’s Spirit Bloodline
Twenty minutes later, after consoling and satisfying Niera with some passionate kisses, Davis brought her back to their old mansion in the middle of the parasol trees, where Shirley and the others stayed.
Niera was gently holding Davis’s arm from the right on the plushy couch, her cheeks rosy. She refused to leave him for even a single moment.
To her, she only knew two worlds: one was her own family, and the other was the Davis Family. Although she was in a sealed world of lightning, she was always with her family, who comforted her and adorned her as their princess. Even before Davis rescued them from the sealed world, she had pledged herself to him, so he was her other world and, over time, became her first priority.
If he wasn’t there, she could endure loneliness by being with her sisters, whom she came to trust and share her life with at the behest of Davis, but for the first time, after she entered the Shard World, she felt the void in her life as she missed Davis from the bottom of her heart. It especially stung since she also missed her son Lucian a lot.
Despite her determination to become stronger so she could protect Lucian and the family, she found herself grappling with extreme loneliness. If it weren’t for the Shirley who take really good care of her in the latter years in this Shard World, she really might’ve returned as she couldn’t stand the feeling of longing.
Fortunately, she had managed to restrain herself and, gathering all the courage and hope for the future, she dedicated herself to cultivation, finally planning to make a pact with the Empyrean Solar Phoenix Spirit that she fancied. Its elegance couldn’t be disputed, and its overwhelming flames that bordered on the aura of extreme destruction at a particular blink.
However, Shirley aided her further with her eloquent speech, and with Flamerose’s magnetic nature, she managed to convince the Empyrean Solar Phoenix Spirit, allowing her to receive the spirit bloodline of this Empyrean Grade Heaven-Tier Flame Spirit that was ranked first!
She had never really expected to be bestowed with such a boon.
As she digested the spirit blood until the limit, she knew she would become extremely powerful. The powerful, destructive flames she pursued, even as far as going to reject Golden Crow Flames and quite a few more powerful flames in the early stages of her cultivation in the past twelve years finally borne fruit in the form of possessing pure Empyrean Solar Phoenix Spiritline.
She wasn’t a fey, but still a human who possessed pure spirit blood, almost as though she had ventured into a spirit inheritance and won to receive the boon.
The word excitement couldn’t fully describe the emotion she felt now. Not only had she achieved the cultivation goal she had set for herself, but as though set in stone, her husband had also been standing in front of her.
If it had been an illusion or some disguise, she might’ve very well gone batshit crazy and exploded into a solar bloom.
Fortunately, it was truly him, bringing intense contentment to her heart. Moreover, sharing the taste of his lips, which she had yearned for so long, it could be said that she was done for the year and simply wanted to spend her life with Davis.
Davis thoroughly ’ate’ the emotions she felt through Heart Intent, bringing him utter joy for the past twenty minutes. Nonetheless, he didn’t forget to address the others in the home.
"There had been so many dangers recently, so we all had to move away to a fortress in another Shard Region, but your sister Myria guarded you the entire time."
"Ah~" Niera finally came out of her reverie, remembering the words Myria said.
She quickly stood up and apologized, "Big sister Myria, please forgive my rude behavior. I was so-"
"It’s fine," Myria interjected, smiling lightly as she could relate to Niera’s emotions.
She also would’ve been too obsessed and relieved to be responding to others in that moment.
"Besides," She added, "Freya and Nadia also helped me protect you."
"Yes, I also helped protect you!" Freya had no shame, eagerly awaiting praise.
Nadia merely acknowledged with a nod.
"Everyone, thank you so much for protecting me during my cultivation. Without your presence, my absorption would’ve had some flaws, resulting in a loss of prowess."
Niera bowed all the way to her waist, "Please accept my sincere thanks. I will surely repay it one day."
"Aha, you said it~" Freya grinned as though she had found prey.
Niera was speechless but wryly shook her head as she raised her head up, "As long as it is within my ability, feel free to ask me. Now then-"
She turned to look at the spirit that was hovering at the corner like no one was its friend, causing her lips to mildly twitch.
"This is Reignisia, the spirit who allowed me to inherit its bloodline. I have formed an equal pact with her, so from now on, she will follow me, and I will be fully responsible for her growth. Husband, please allow me to entertain this ambition."
Davis blinked, "Granted."
He gazed at Reignisia, his expression amused, "Do you fear me?"
"..." Reignisia’s golden lip pursed, "You are frightening. However, it is a surprise to think that you are Niera’s beloved. I thought you were someone who wanted to hunt her down, but since you seemed friendly enough, I decided not to take action. Still, you were suspicious."
Her voice echoed, rough and fiery with a prideful tone, yet it was rather pleasing as though embers provided warmth to the ears when the air around was cold.
Davis thought for a moment before asking, "You aided Niera in completely digesting the spiritline to the highest purity after seeing me?"
"Yes," Reignisia didn’t hide it, her face glowing, "I figured it would help her retaliate against you, but it seemed I had just wasted my time."
Hearing her arrogant tone, everyone was speechless while Niera simply giggled.
On the other hand, Davis finally understood.
Tia had divined Niera would be out of seclusion in two to four days back then, but it took a few more days, leaving him in confusion. Of course, divination wasn’t always going to be accurate, especially with a giant void like him showing up to screw the flow of fate.
Now he understood that it was because of his presence that Reignisia became alert and secretly aided in bestowing Niera more power, making Tia’s divination inaccurate.
This made him wonder if Tia’s divination that Isabella was going to face danger in two years was going to be delayed or brought forward.
Niera, on the other hand, rejoiced that Davis had come to her.
He was her lucky star, bringing her family out of a sealed world, saving her elder sister Nora, making love with her, and making her give birth to Lucian. As for cultivation, hadn’t he always been the only reason she was able to make it this far?
Niera gazed at him with an obsessed expression before a sliver of an image that juxtaposed with his visage, with a teenager with golden hair flashed past her eyes.
"Is Lucian well? Is he taking his ice pills properly?"
